The premise of the save is to take a club as far as I can, till the point I get sacked or get a job interview from another club. There is an element of a journeyman save like feeling, but it is more related to a Kevin Keegan-esque ambition to be the best club we can possibly be. We are still bottom of the league so we need to re-evaluate our situation if it gets untenable. We signed Kevin Conboy on a free transfer. We sold Jorgen Hammer to Jerv for 8k pounds. We looked like we were going down with a whimper but the players responded brilliantly and it is up to me and them to prove that we have what it takes to stay up. Sahaj Oberoi Posted February 25, 2023 Author Share Posted February 25, 2023 I quit the KFUM Oslo job, I had a 12% win rate as manager and I accepted that I was unable to keep them up, so I left before the relegation was confirmed. And I thought it was the right thing to do. We also played our first game as New Zealand manager and beat Kuwait in a friendly. So yes I will be looking for a new club now. At KFUM Oslo I was bottom of the league, we fought hard but we were fighting a losing battle so I thought resigning from the job after nearly 2 months was the option I had to take. They are currently 15th in Ligue 2. It is a significant upgrade from KFUM Oslo. Also here is what the squad looks like. On paper it looks decent but most of my wins came in the cup and it just was not working at this club and saving them from relegation ultimately became a mammoth task so I left. Well at least this club is stable and we are not battling relegation. Does it appear that we are going to stay here longer? Only time will tell. We finished 11th in League One with Portsmouth with a win at the final game of the season. These are the stats of the players at the end of the season. It has been a steady start at Portsmouth. We sold Michael Jacobs to AFC Wimbledon for 14.5k pounds. We bought Clarke Oduor from Barnsley for 325k pounds. We bought James Scott from Hull City for 3.3 million pounds. Ben Woodburn has joined the club from Preston for 130k pounds. And Vitezslav Jaros has joined from Liverpool on a free transfer. Also Louis Thompson and Kieron Freeman have joined Aberdeen in Scotland. We are quietly reshaping our squad in the way I want it to be.
