Available with defend and support duties only, the new role allows managers to buildup from deep positions through numerical superiority while maintaining the flexibility of a back four. On support, the fullback will play more like an outside ball playing defender who looks for key passes and steps forward just a bit to support moves while the defend duty keeps them inline with their fellow center backs. the defensive line shift will allow more space for the opposite-side fullback to push up in attack. 5 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
