2025/26 SEASON - GAME DAY 62 - PREMIER LEAGUE - HOME VS BOURNEMOUTH

We finish out the 2025/26 campaign with a narrow win against Bournemouth which relegates Bournemouth and gives us Champions League football all in one goal from Rafael Santos Borre!

Man City lost to West Ham from an own goal in the 90th minute to slip up and give us the 4th place spot over them which was very lucky!

Next up we have one final challenge as we face Lyon in the Europa Conference League Final.

Notable poor performances: Angelo: 6.4.

Standout performances: Jordan Pickford: 7.6, Rafael Santos Borre: 7.5, Anel Ahmedhodzic: 7.4 & Abakar Sylla: 7.4.

2025/26 SEASON - GAME DAY 63 - EUROPA CONFERENCE LEAGUE - NEUTRAL V LYON

A tough one but that made things even better to celebrate with this cup final win!!

Vitaliy Mykolenko nearly put us in a bit of a pickle but the lads held on, as you can imagine, I was berating him massively at the point he was sent off!

Pedro Neto took two huge chances though when they came his way and we secured another trophy this season!!

DOUBLE WINNERS!!!

Notable poor performances: Vitaliy Mykolenko: 6.3.

Standout performances: Pedro Neto: 8.8.

COMMUNITY SHIELD OPPONENT

Today we had confirmation of our opponent for the Community Shield off the back of last seasons FA Cup win.

We take on our local rivals who won the Premier League in Liverpool - hopefully we can hit some form throughout pre-season and take that into this game to give ourselves the best chance to take home another trophy early this season!

TRANSFER IN - RYAN GRAVENBERCH

Today we finally got our man over the line after securing him mid-way through his loan spell last season.

35M transfer fee for the lad who is just 24 and was heavily involved in our starting 11 many times over the course of last season, it was a no brainer to secure this player for the fee he was available at.

TRANSFER IN - JOSKO GVARDIOL

Hot property IRL Gvardiol was still available for his minimum fee release clause - with being in the Champions League this season, we can't just hope to do well there without improving.

I thought this would be a good player to add to our already good squad & will continue to keep a look out for players of around this age that we can get in for a reasonable fee.

PRE-SEASON RESULTS - SEASON 2026/27

A largely positive pre-season again for us with plenty of players getting plenty of game time, some new signings to bolster our options coming in and getting much needed game time in pre-season after the World Cup also.

Our opening month has a mix of fixtures from the top end and bottom end of the table.

We take on Liverpool at Wembley for the Community Shield so hopefully we can secure some more silverware there first and foremost!

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 1 - COMMUNITY SHIELD - NEUTRAL V LIVERPOOL

We opened up the 2026/26 campaign with a Community Shield matchup vs local fierce rivals Liverpool.

With the likes of Ajayi & Gvardiol coming into the first team fold during pre-season, they had not yet given me those much sought after 'links' on my formation screen so I opted to go with the tried and tested and thankfully it paid off with Kaio Jorge managing to slot home from a cross to the back post just before half time sealing the win as the only goal of the game.

Another piece of silverware for the trophy cabinet is a great place to start off season 5 & hopefully we can push for more again this season!

Notable poor performances: Vitaliy Mykolenko: 6.4, Romeo Lavia: 6.4 & James Ward-Prowse: 6.4

Standout performances: Josip Sutalo: 8.1 & Jordan Pickford: 8.0.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 2 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Next up we took to The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Spurs & only came away with a 1-1 draw.

Kaio Jorge scoring the only goal of the game means he's now scored 2 in 2 - not bad for someone stepping into Pedro Neto's shoes due to injury to start the season.

We didn't play to our best again but to come away with a point away from home in this one considering the poor ratings overall isn't too bad.

Notable poor performances: Jarrad Branthwaite: 6.4.

Standout performances: Kaio Jorge: 7.3 & James Ward-Prowse: 7.1.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 3 - PREMIER LEAGUE - HOME VS MIDDLESBROUGH

Our first home league game of the season saw Middlesbrough travel to the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.

Despite the tie being cagey for the majority, we introduced Neto at around the hour mark along with Santos Borre & Angelo - Borre assisting Neto to give us all 3 points was exactly the fight we wanted to see late on.

While I would have liked to see a more comfortable performance, seeing some players coming back into the fold now and going 3 games unbeaten with only conceding one goals against some tough sides too, isn't a bad start for us to the 26/27 campaign.

Notable poor performances: Fred: 6.3 & Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 6.4.

Standout performances: Pedro Neto: 7.9, Nathan Patterson: 7.5, Rafael Santos Borre: 7.3 & Jordan Pickford: 7.2.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 4 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS LEEDS UNITED

Another tightly fought away tie - this time at Elland Road as we took on Leeds United.

We went behind relatively early on but a quick equaliser showed that even with a few changes again, we've got a good squad to rely on.

Ward-Prowse smashed home a free-kick in the 64th minute before being withdrawn due to tired legs and we managed to keep hold of all 3 points in the end.

7 points from 3 games to start the league season isn't something to turn your nose up at - however, next up we face Liverpool who will be looking for revenge after our Community Shield win over them this season.

Notable poor performances: Vitaliy Mykolenko: 6.4 & Jarrad Branthwaite: 6.5.

Standout performances: James Ward-Prowse: 7.7, Nathan Patterson: 7.6 & Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 7.5.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 5 - PREMIER LEAGUE - HOME VS LIVERPOOL

Next up we took on local rivals Liverpool who were top of the table before our fixture - we had already beaten them narrowly in the Community Shield and I was anticipating another tough test.

Enter Pedro Neto & James Ward-Prowse to the fold - and I give you a 4-0 win in an absolutely dominant performance at Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.

This huge win meant we have now won 3 Premier League ties on the bounce, only conceding the one goal, we are unbeaten this season so far in competitive games (and pre-season if you want to count that).

Notable poor performances: Romeo Lavia: 6.4.

Standout performances: Pedro Neto: 9.3 & James Ward-Prowse: 9.1.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FIXTURES

We've now learnt who our opponents will be in the Champions League.

Now under a different structure from the more recent IRL various groups - the competition is now in a league form of 36 teams.

Teams ranked 1st - 8th will go straight into the round of 16.

Teams ranked 9th - 24th will play a playoff match - from which the winners will advance to the round of 16.

Some tough ties here against some huge clubs - but this is where we want the club to be, and hopefully we can remain competitive in the competition throughout.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 6 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS BRENTFORD

We continue our good run of form at the moment with an away win against Brentford.

Ryan Gravenberch getting his first goal for the club, and Kaio Jorge adding a second with a late cameo from the bench to secure all 3 points once again.

Notable poor performances: Dwight McNeil: 6.5 & Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 6.5.

Standout performances: Ryan Gravenberch: 8.1.

2026/27 SEASON - AUGUST RESULTS & LEAGUE TABLE SO FAR...

A really positive month to start the season, winning our first trophy of the 2026/27 campaign with a narrow win against fierce rivals Liverpool.

To then go into August's Premier League fixtures with the likes of Liverpool & Spurs in the schedule and manage to come out unbeaten so far is a brilliant start and one we can hopefully continue as we enter the Champions League and Carabao Cup next month.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 7 - PREMIER LEAGUE - HOME VS BLACKBURN ROVERS

After an international break, we welcomed Blackburn Rovers to Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium in a Premier League clash.

A cagey affair - which, from our point of view, I can somewhat understand due to having to rest a lot of tired players after the internationals.

Ultimately we got the win though through a Ryan Gravenberch effort in the 62nd minute and managed to keep hold of all 3 points despite not playing very well to be honest.

Hopefully we can get some lads back, fit and ready to go so that we can improve for our next contest.

Notable poor performances: Vitor Roque: 6.3 & Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 6.5.

Standout performances: Filippo Terracciano: 8.5 & Ryan Gravenberch: 8.0.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 8 - CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - AWAY VS BRANN

We travelled to Brann Stadion to take on Norweigan outfit Brann in the Champions League.

We managed 2-0 win with another clean sheet, now making it 8 games in all competitions without losing so far this season.

Having only conceded 2 goals in that time so far this season also.

This was definitely one we needed to win, given some of the tougher tests coming in the Champions League in the coming weeks/months.

Notable poor performances: N/A

Standout performances: James Ward-Prowse: 8.2 & Pedro Neto: 8.0.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 9 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS MANCHESTER CITY

We faced a difficult away test in league leaders Manchester City in game day 9.

Going 2-0 down at the Etihad was always going to be a difficult result to turn around but we managed to get ourselves back in the game with 16 minutes to go, we just couldn't push for the equaliser in this one.

Notable poor performances: Pedro Neto: 6.2, Vitaliy Mykolenko: 6.3 & Dwight McNeil: 6.4.

Standout performances: Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 7.6.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 10 - CARABAO CUP - AWAY VS BLACKBURN

The Carabao Cup Third Round saw us travel to fellow Premier League team Blackburn Rovers.

We went down 1-0 early on after just 6 minutes after we rang in all of the changes for this game to spread the game time out somewhat.

Amadou Onana took the game time in his stride and had an absolute stormer bagging a brace from his box to box role in the middle of the park. Kaio Jorge & Demarai Gray doing the same from their respective wings as inside forwards as well to ultimately chip in and give us the 4-1 victory in the end, into the hat we go for round 4!

Notable poor performances: Jordan Pickford: 6.4 & Rafael Santos Borre: 6.5.

Standout performances: Amadou Onana: 9.0.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 11 - PREMIER LEAGUE - HOME VS SOUTHAMPTON

Back to Premier League action on game day 11 and Angelo gave us an early lead as he continues to get minutes under his belt and get back to full fitness and form.

Rafael Santos Borre didn't have the greatest of games and at only 1-0 I wanted to inject more of an attacking threat into the team so DCL came on and bagged a goal to secure all 3 points.

I rang in the changes once again as you can see from the starting eleven and it's always a huge positive when you can use your squad depth and still keep seeing results.

Notable poor performances: Nathan Patterson: 6.5, Rafael Santos Borre: 6.5 & Dwight McNeil: 6.5.

Standout performances: Amadou Onana: 7.9, Demarai Gray: 7.8, Angelo: 7.6 & Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 7.5.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 12 - CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - AWAY VS FC PORTO

We took on another tough away test in the Champions League in game day 12 as we travelled to Estadio do Dragao to take on FC Porto.

Porto lost their first match up against AC Milan where they lost 5-0 at the San Siro so were looking to improve and get something from this one to fight for their Champions League status.

We managed to go ahead quite late into proceedings through our marksman Dominic Calvert-Lewin & with David Carmo getting sent off late on when Porto were probably pushing hard for an equaliser, that definitely helped us over the line as we tightened things up to keep our vice grip on all 3 points.

Notable poor performances: Josko Gvardiol: 6.2, Obinna Ajayi: 6.2 & Pedro Neto: 6.4.

Standout performances: Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 8.2.

2026/27 SEASON - SEPTEMBER RESULTS & LEAGUE TABLE SO FAR...

We had another really positive month of results in September, only dropping points in the one away fixture in the Premier League vs title contenders Manchester City.

Two huge wins in the Champions League & clean sheets in both games are big positives for us, especially with PSG coming up as our next opponent in mid-October.

Next month sees 3 home games and 3 away games in a continuing congested fixture schedule, with the team competing in the Premier League, Champions League & Carabao Cup.

We are currently sitting in 3rd place in the Premier League as well, just 3 points behind top of the table Man City which means our loss to them gave them that 3 point lead on us as things stand.

I have also included the Champions League table as we will face some really tough tests in the coming weeks/months but we've started well & hopefully we can kick on from there to gain automatic qualification to the round of 16 - however, we do face PSG, AC Milan, FC Kobenhavn, Ajax, FC Barcelona & Juventus so it won't be easy.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 13 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS WEST HAM UNITED

Not the start we wanted, losing out to the team immediately below us in the league table.

However, away from home, against a good side, and staying competitive throughout, isn't the worst thing in the world - although conceding in the 90th minute is a bit of a kick in the teeth.

Hopefully we can improve going further into the month of October with our busy schedule.

Notable poor performances: Romeo Lavia: 6.4, Pedro Neto: 6.4 & Dwight McNeil: 6.4.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 14 - PREMIER LEAGUE - HOME VS BRIGHTON

An improvement by getting the 3 points in this one but I didn't think we had the best game, Santos Borre came on late in the game and managed to put an effort away in the 80th minute.

A clean sheet as well - with the defence playing well is a positive.

Notable poor performances: Vitor Roque: 6.4.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 15 - CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - HOME VS PSG

Awesome performance from the team, Angelo had an absolute stormer for us here when needed against a top, top opponent.

This means we've now won 3 games from 3 in the Champions League which is a perfect start for us despite some difficult tests - with more to come!

Notable poor performances: N/A

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 16 - PREMIER LEAGUE - HOME VS WATFORD

Next up we returned to Premier League action at home against 19th placed Watford.

A solid performance, would have been nice to have kept the clean sheet but we can't have it all!

Another win under the belt and 3 more points on the board for us.

Next up we take on Sheffield United in the Carabao Cup & I will be looking to change some of the starters up from the usual starting 11 to spread the game time out and avoid any injuries.

Notable poor performances: Rafael Santos Borre: 6.4.

Standout performances: Lucien Agoume: 7.7, Vitaliy Mykolenko: 7.8 & Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 8.3.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 17 - CARABAO CUP - AWAY VS SHEFFIELD UNITED

A really nice result in the Carabao Cup against Sheff Utd, scoring a load of goals and keeping a clean sheet, all while giving some of the lesser used players so far this season some game time.

Onto the Quarter Finals - where we could face any of the below teams:

Liverpool, Man City, QPR, West Ham, Brighton, Watford or Chelsea.

Notable poor performances: N/A

Standout performances: Dwight McNeil: 8.0, Kaio Jorge: 8.5 & Vitor Roque: 8.6.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 18 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS LEICESTER CITY

We finish off the month of October with another dominant win, this time against a 20th placed Leicester City.

Another clean sheet - DCL getting on the goal trail once again, Ward-Prowse nabbing a goal on his first game back after resting him for a week due to fatigue & Josip Sutalo scoring an immense looping header from the edge of the box after latching onto a deep cross.

2026/27 SEASON - OCTOBER RESULTS & LEAGUE TABLE SO FAR...

Despite the early loss to West Ham - we bounced back from that to win five games on the bounce - only conceding two goals in that time and only of those against PSG in the Champions League.

A positive month once again leaves us in 3rd place in the Premier League and 2nd place in the Champions League.

We have some more tough tests coming up now in November but if we can continue playing the way we have been recently then we should be able to compete with all teams involved!

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 19 - CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - AWAY VS AC MILAN

First up in November we took on the tough task of facing AC Milan away at the San Siro.

The opening ten minutes could've gone a lot better - finding ourselves 2-0 down that early away from home in europe usually wouldn't end well!

While a draw isn't the result we hoped for, given the circumstances after those first 10 minutes, we definitely take that and after gaining that point, we are still in the automatic qualification places for the knockout rounds.

Back to winning ways against Newcastle on game day 20.

This now makes it 7 games unbeaten in all competitions, this time with another clean sheet under our belts as well!

We move to 2nd in the league with these 3 points for the time being, with a difficult Manchester United test up next at Old Trafford to see if we really are title contenders!

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 21 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS MANCHESTER UNITED

An away day at Old Trafford for game day 21.

A huge game to test ourselves in given how we've started the season - and we managed to come out on top!

A narrow victory in the end, DCL bagging a brace in a big game for us is no shock but for it to happen against Manchester United was brilliant!

Casemiro helped our chances with his sending off on the 65th minute but even with going to what was a defensive 5-4-1 to cling onto the lead, Umar Sadiq managed to give us a scare on the 83rd minute.

But, we managed to keep hold of all three points and that now puts us top of the Premier League after 14 league games have been played!

Notable poor performances: Kaio Jorge: 6.4, Josip Sutalo: 6.5, Josko Gvardiol: 6.5, Jarrad Branthwaite: 6.5 & Dwight McNeil: 6.5.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 22 - CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - HOME VS FC KOBENHAVN

Dwight McNeil's first goal of the season gives us another win in the Champions League.

A tidy performance throughout but we couldn't find any more goals after McNeil's effort.

To win another game in europe though, and get a clean sheet along the way is a big positive.

Notable poor performances: Rafael Santos Borre: 6.4, Jarrad Branthwaite: 6.5 & Kaio Jorge: 6.5.

DCL adding another goal to his tally as our top scorer so far this season & Gravenberch chipping in as well to get his goal tally up to 3 for the campaign.

2026/27 SEASON - NOVEMBER RESULTS & LEAGUE TABLE SO FAR...

Another really positive month of results for us in all competitions sees us go unbeaten for the month of November & continue our unbeaten form to 10 games since our 2-1 loss back in October against West Ham United.

We are getting a lot of different players chipping in with goals and assists, looking less troubled at the back, keeping goals down and getting regular clean sheets.

Top of the table going into a hectic December fixture schedule now where we face some of our hardest tasks yet with Arsenal (A) & Chelsea (H) to start us off in the same week, we then play Ajax (H) as the third game in the opening week of December so a big ask to get 3 points in all of those games to start us off. We then take on Norwich (A) in the Premier League before taking on Chelsea (H) again in the Carabao Cup Quarter Final & finish up the month with back to back games against Aston Villa before taking on Southampton on boxing day.

Should be an interesting month!

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 24 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS ARSENAL

Our first game in December 2026 came against Arsenal, currently in 8th place so far this season but they usually cause us some problems.

We took a 2-0 lead from DCL scoring in the 59th minute and McNeil scoring shortly after - Pickford gave us a scare by absolutely gifting Gabriel Jesus a goal to get back into the game and really start to put some pressure on us but we managed to hand on at the Emirates and another 3 points under the belt for us to keep our 3 point lead at the top of the table.

Plenty of tough tests still to come....

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 25 - PREMIER LEAGUE - HOME VS CHELSEA

Another huge result after Dominic Calvert-Lewin bagged himself a hat-trick means we take another 3 points in a huge game!

Jordan Pickford clung onto our clean sheet with a massive penalty save when the score was at 3-0 as well!

5 points clear at the top of the table as things stand now!

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 26 - CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - HOME VS AJAX

We remain unbeaten in the Champions League so far this season after this result at home vs Ajax.

Jordan Pickford with ANOTHER penalty save in the 2nd minute from Horta.

Agoume chipping in with a goal again after a cagey start to give us the lead, we let them back into the game after conceding from a deep cross which was finished by James Gomez.

Angelo came on from the bench to latch onto another subs (Santos Borre) tidy through ball to finish and gift us all 3 points once again.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 27 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS NORWICH CITY

Surprisingly, Norwich City were 3rd in the table before this game.

It was a tightly fought contest where we rang in the changes quite a lot here - but we managed to score a nice goal with Zvonarek assisting Zaracho with a nice pull back to the edge of the box from out wide, Zaracho then nestling an effort past the Norwich keeper from the edge of the 18 yard box.

We remain 5 points clear at the top of the league - we clinch another clean sheet - and that now stretches us to 14 games unbeaten in all competitions!!!

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 28 - CARABAO CUP - HOME VS CHELSEA

Up next we took on Chelsea at home in the Carabao Cup Quarter Final.

A brilliant early start with two goals scored inside 7 minutes thanks to Pedro Neto & Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Fofana scored as he latched onto a cross from a corner to peg us back but that wasn't enough to bring them back into the game firmly as our outstanding left back Ajayi managed to smash home our 3rd goal before half time and that was enough for us to hold onto as we made some changes when tired legs became a problem and kept Chelsea to minimal efforts on goal.

Notable poor performances: Nathan Patterson: 6.5 & Josko Gvardiol: 6.5.

A really solid performance again, only conceding the one via a penalty - Pickford dived the right way again and came close but it wasn't enough to keep Maximiliano Gomez' effort out.

On the plus side though, we are now 7 points clear at the top of the Premier League after this result, we didn't have our strongest team available in this one again either so really good to see the other boys stepping in and performing just as well!

We travel to Villa Park next to take on Aston Villa mid-week in the Premier League.

Notable poor performances: Filippo Terracciano: 6.5.

Standout performances: Dwight McNeil: 8.6, Pedro Neto: 8.2 & Ryan Gravenberch: 8.1.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 30 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS ASTON VILLA

The return fixture saw us travel to Villa Park with a similar outcome just one goal short of Saturday's result.

Aside from a mental individual effort from Ezri Konsa that ended with him smashing a deflected shot into someone and it looping over Pickford - we dominated this game.

17 games unbeaten now - 1st in the Premier League after 20 games have been played and we currently have a 9 point lead over 2nd placed Liverpool.

Notable poor performances: Romeo Lavia: 6.5.

Standout performances: James Ward-Prowse: 8.6 & Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 8.4.

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 31 - PREMIER LEAGUE - AWAY VS SOUTHAMPTON

Really, really, really disappointed with this result.

We had almost our complete first team on the team sheet for this one - Branthwaite stepping in at CB for Gvardiol and had a poor game unfortunately.

We conceded in the 95th minute to drop 2 points when we were defensive to keep hold of it and a set piece let us down.

It is what it is and we remain 7 points clear at the top of the league for now as we finish off 2026.

Notable poor performances: Jarrad Branthwaite: 6.4 & Ryan Gravenberch: 6.4.

Standout performances: Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 7.8.

2026/27 SEASON - DECEMBER RESULTS & LEAGUE TABLE SO FAR...

Another really positive group of results throughout December.

8 games played, 7 wins and the one draw on the last game of the year - that one was a frustrating one to take as well - we should have won.

A massive game up on January 2nd now as we welcome Man City to Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.

We remain in qualifications places for the knockout rounds in the Champions League table, with two challenging fixtures still to come in January.

We have a Carabao Cup Semi-Final to look forward to against West Ham United as well as an FA Cup 3rd round tie against Burnley (A).

9 games in January should be interesting for us.

We do have a signing coming in upon the transfer window opening - a seasoned vet at this point but still has a lot to offer a team like ours and we have shipped out Demarai Gray to make room for him - keep an eye out!

2026/27 SEASON - GAME DAY 32 - PREMIER LEAGUE - HOME VS MANCHESTER CITY

We've come through another huge test here against one of the juggernauts of english football.

A faultless win after a tight first half.

DCL grabbing a brace & Dwight McNeil putting the game to bed late on - we stay 6 points clear at the top of the table after this one & continue our unbeaten run to 19 games in all competitions.

No rest for the wicked though, as we take on West Ham in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi final next - these were the last tea mto beat us back in October.

Notable poor performances: Angelo: 6.4.

Standout performances: Dominic Calvert-Lewin: 8.6 & James Ward-Prowse: 8.2.
