TheGoodRebel
SEASON 2043/2044 After achieving a mid-table position last season Ade wanted to really push on this season and qualify for Europe. TRANSFERS Ade had seen a bit of a clear out during the course of last season so it was important to bring in several new faces to get the team to the level Ade was hoping for. MIGUEL ÁNGEL - GOALKEEPER The veteran shot stopper who was Ade's #1 at Real Madrid was brought in on a free transfer. He has plenty of experience and is currently the World Goalkeeper of The Year. JOSÉ RAMÓN TÁRREGA - LEFT BACK We needed cover at left back and brought in José for £14m. Ade sees him more as an option for one season before investing in a top quality first choice player if European football is achieved. OLE-JØRGEN ANGELLSEN - MIDFIELDER Signed on loan from PSG. Ole-Jørgen can play in the box to box midfield role and will be a useful option due to his versatility. ERIVÉLTON - INSIDE FORWARD Ade loves his inside forwards and the young Brazilian has good finishing, off the ball and acceleration, he's been brought in as first choice for £13.25m and will hopefully make a telling contribution in the goals department. JOSÉ RASCÃO - STRIKER Ade actually sees José as a striker and will play him there. The young Portuguese was signed for £16m and reminds Ade a little bit of Saïd Raki who he coached at Dortmund. TheGoodRebel
SEASON 2043/2044 FINANCES The club finances are looking a lot better now, Ade will save the money for the end of the season, when hopefully he will be able to attract bigger players to the club if European football is achieved. PREMIER LEAGUE A steady, if unspectacular start. However, it's important to remember where the club were when Ade took over. Anfield has been a fortress so far, but away from home we have been shambolic. We will need to improve on the road if we're to secure a return to Europe next season. TheGoodRebel
SEASON 2043/2044 Liverpool were vying for a European place but would need to make sure of no major slip ups in the second half of the season. However, they also had the domestic cup competitions to play for. How would the season conclude? CARABAO CUP A disappointing early exit at the hands of Crystal Palace. Especially considering we had been so good at home in the league. FA CUP Wigan were dispatched with ease, but then we suffered a tough home defeat to fierce rivals Everton. This, unsurprisingly, did not go down well with the fans. PREMIER LEAGUE We continued our excellent home form, but carried on our disappointing away form. We were not that far away from winning the title but were still happy with securing Champions League football for next season. THE PLAYERS Erivélton and José Rascão are both developing nicely and contributed well this season. There are a lot of talented young players who can really take the club forward. FINANCES A considerable improvement from when Ade inherited the club. Saved from relegation and now back in the Champions League with a nice transfer budget to boot. However, with that being said (and with FM24 amongst us) Ade has decided to call time on his career and retire. He ends his career having won 21 trophies. It's been a fun journey, thank you to everyone who came along for the ride. See you on the other side!
