lebmafra
I know this is a topic that's been discussed for a while, but I wanted to discuss why this hasn't been implemented yet. I'm not saying that a Player with a potential of 120 can reach 200 just by scoring goals, but have some kind of algorithm, even if nerfed at the beginning, that depending on the performance of an athlete in a season, his potential can vary between -5 and +5, being +5 if he does EXTREMELY well, like a 9+ overall rating average and being top scorer in multiple competitions, I don't know, but I think allowing that would make the game much more unpredictable over seasons than being always the same players the best. No matter how many saves I start, it will always be Haaland and Mbappe the Ballon d'or for 10 years and the players with potential are always the same. This would even allow for more varied signings over time
phantombandit
so, my understanding of how development of players over 18 works is that their development is actually tied to their match ratings.
