Does a free kick (direct shot only) involve a long shot?

It does not. I have given you which attributes are used in a previous thread.

Long shots is is used in open play. For a direct free kick it's Free Kick Taking, Technique and Strength.

In theory, perhaps. It is definitely broken - doing a lower league save in NI, with largely non-contract players, and every team scores 35 yard screamers bending around the wall that Beckham could only dream of. My CM with Free Kicking Taking of 1, single figure of strength and technique can do it.

It's definitely worth reporting (with multiple PKMs, ideally) if you see something that's unrealistic.
