One of the major differences is that I will manage however I like, in the best interests of the team I am managing rather than one of the things I usually do, which is play all the in form players in the starting lineup. Leny Yoro has gone on loan to Niort. The thing is we are shaping the squad in such a way where we get good players and we are also not over the wage budget. But right now we are, so we are trying to negotiate player sales and only two significant sales have happened along with the loan of Jonathan David to Southampton. We signed something like 7 players and we are trying to fit them into our system. But a 7-0 hammering by Marseille and a 3-1 defeat to Toulouse means that, there are underlying problems at the club I need to solve to create that winning mentality. The bad run we went on was shocking and I left them in 20th place with 8 points in 16 games, ultimately it was a tougher job than I thought and I didn't last. Brandon Williams was my last parting gift to them and Edon Zhegrova went to Marseille and I terminated Andre Gomes's loan so he went back to Everton. We have the unity, quality and mentality to do it. And I feel that it is present in our current club, Deportivo Cali compared to Lille and Getafe. Lille was a disaster, players were not able to score goals and every time we played we seemed to lose confidence. At Getafe, the quality was not quite there and my current successor Phil Neville at Getafe isn't really doing any better. Unai Emery was my replacement at Lille and yes it highlighted how bad I did at Lille and the fact that the players were not completely on board with my way of playing.
