Arsy
So, we were relegated from the Bundesliga, around 2027, playing as VfB Oldenburg. When this happened both the training and youth facilities got somehow degraded. They were both "superb", four and a half stars. We lost half a star for the training facilities and a full star for the youth ones. How did that happen? And for some reason our finances appeared as "insecure" even though we were comfortably under the wage budget and had some money for transfers, slightly over 3 millions. During the summer transfer window I sold a bunch of players, now we are 200k under the wage budget and have almost 10 millions for transfers. Our finances are still insecure. What gives? SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted May 26, 2023 SI Staff Share Posted May 26, 2023 If the board decide to lower budgets then sometimes facilities will drop in standard - in this case because of relegation they/re investing less in infrastructure, you should have got a news message about this btw.

Ok, thanks! What about the "insecure" finances? This is the current situation. I wouldn't call this "insecure".
SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted May 26, 2023 SI Staff Share Posted May 26, 2023 That's largely a warning that your club are spending over what they can realistically affrd in an attempt to get back into the top flight ... so the club is in an unsustainable position at the moment. If you get promoted then things will probably be fine and you'll go back to normal fairly quickly (and you'll probably find you can put your facilities back up to a higher standard), however if you don't the club could find itself seriously struggling and your budgets restricted ... and possibly facilities falling further. (happens a fair bit in football, 'generally' it pays off and clubs make the jump back - but not always ...)
