TheNapalmNerd
NxGn 50 2037: We have seven players in the list, and a lot more of the other players incoming. I Don't think Bazant and Khalifa are gonna make it at the club, but it is still nice to see them in the list. Ed Malyon should have been a superb no. 1 once again. He is the biggest talent in the world right now. At least in terms of current ability. Interestingly the german wonderkid striker Kunert at 18 who we just played against in the champions league is placed in third. We have already signed a pre contract deal with him, along with our new rock in defense Milovanovic: One of the best defenders in the world will join us in June. We are looking to get rid of the players who don't like big matches. Milovanovic will take care of a problem with Niklas Martinsen in defence. TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Quarter Final 1st Match: Bayern München (H) A match we should have won comfortably, but ended up almost losing. This is not looking good.
TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Quarter Final 2nd Match: Bayern München (A) Oh my god what a match!! It really had everything. We were hit by a lot of suspensions and small injuries in the buildup to the match, and Ross was really performing badly so I thought in the middle of the second half his bad performance couldn't be done worse by San Marinese Riccardo Rosti who then went on to score the vital goal in the dying seconds of the match. What a performance, and we're through to the semi finals!! English dominance! The other Semi Final is between Manchester United and Everton.
TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Semi Final 1st match: Man City (H) Fantastic performance, four assists from Wood, Four goals from Jovanovic. Looking at this performance you wouldn't think Jovanovic doesn't like big matches. We are one step into the final. A lot can still go wrong, but things are looking very good for now! TheNapalmNerd
Serie B promotion race: With only two matches to go, Victor San Marino are in the race for promotion. Their succes is vital for future San Marinese succes, but I don't think they are anywhere near ready for Serie A. They shouldnt even be in the race for promotion, but it can only be good to go up and get more experience for the future.
TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Semi Final 2nd Match: Man City (A) We're in the final again!! A great performance from the team away from home. Another comeback and the team is really showing character with the way they've played this season. After the first goal we went ultra defensive, and that really tied up things as most of the dominance we encountered was neutralised, and the Paul wood took over with another dominant performance. Easily our best player of the season, with many goals and assists. Edited October 29, 2023 by TheNapalmNerd
TheNapalmNerd
VICTOR SAN MARINO IN THE SERIE A! They will probably soon be in the Serie B again, but with this progress they could soon establish themselves at a higher level. Victor really overperformed this season: It was a dramatic last round in Serie B as Citadella actually had second place after VIctor drew in the 37th round, oonly for Citadella to lose and Victor to come back and grab direct promotion. Wonderful! 16 seasons in, and VIctor are now in the Serie A. Edited October 29, 2023 by TheNapalmNerd
TheNapalmNerd
New signings for the summer: We have a few new players coming in, in the summer. Having already presented Milovanovic and Kunert, we also present a new left back and left winger: First of all we present the german footballer of the year Ayan illivanov: He'll be 29 when he arrives, but the opportunity was too good to let go. Meanwhile we also weaken Bayern who have been strong opponents in the Champions League. We've now taken possibly the two best players they have. The next player we present is Left Back Cameron Sadler who joins our very english defence and actually very english squad: Sadler comes in and takes over Left Back for Jose Fonseca who doesn't like big matches. Fonseca can cover up left back, centre back and central midfield and will be kept as a very versatile backup player in our squad. We've really spent big this spring, and were only able to do so by paying huge instalments over the coming seasons.
TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Final: Manchester United (N) WINNERS!!!!! WE WON! We really should as well. We dominated Manchester, but only managed to score one goal. Luckily they never really came close to scoring against us, and we ended up winning the match. 16 seasons and we finally won the Champions League, and with the squad in its current state and the players soon coming in, we should be dominating the tournament in the upcoming years. This also marks the end of our season, which we went through without any defeats. Only one draw against Bayern in the quarter finals stand out, other than that we won everything. Jovanovic scored his 150th goal for the club (he's only been in the first team squad for two seasons) And with that our season is over and ends on a high. The players have really performed this season. Topscorer is 19 year old Ed Malyon who really has dominated everyone and will be crucial to our succes in the next many seasons. Our succes has also shown in our reputation: , b We are now among the best clubs in the world in terms of reputation, but it is still hampered by playing in a league far down the rankings. Our succes should however have a positive effect on league reputation once again, when the time comes.

TheNapalmNerd
San Marino in Europe: We've gone past Croatia and Norway this season. Succes in the next season will ensure that we'll be number one in coefficients. Winning the Champions League put us back into the top 15 only just edging Switzerland to 16th.. We have a few seasons with some less good results incoming, that could make sure we'll go higher in the coefficients over the coming seasons.
TheNapalmNerd
FIFA Club World Cup Draw: We're lucky with the draw as we don't have two matches in a row, but actually have a weeks rest before the next match. We've just had an international break and most players will be tired after that, so it's important for us to make sure their condition is good in this tournament. Because of that we will also switch to an ultra defensive tiki taka style to make sure our players don't get too exhausted. Just like our last participation four seasons ago we will wait for our opponents to tire out. This tournament is a game of fatigue controlling, so that's how we'll manage it. TheNapalmNerd
Club World Cup Group Stage 1st Match: Al-Ahly (N) Ayan Ilivanov debuts with a hattrick within the first 20 minutes of the game. Dominant performance against a much weaker team. A great start, and now we'll rest and prepare for the match against Bragantino. They should be easy. In fact every match should be winnable in this contest, when we are the reigning Champions League side, but upsets can be caused in this tournament. Personally I've never won it while playing football manager, and this is an excellent chance at changing that. On an extra note this tournament is running while there's an U21 euro cup, meaning a lot of our players aren't in contention for this tournament before the end of june. We made that mistake last time as I registered a lot of players we couldn't use. I haven't done it this time. But we still need a few faces who were tired or injured from the previous world cup qualifiers in june. TheNapalmNerd
Club World Cup Quarter Final: Everton (N) Only one rest day between matches and this is the optimal result for us. We didn't win big, but we got through to the semi finals. We were ultra defensive most of the match and very attacking for the last 15 minutes, when the Everton players were tired. Paris beat Inter after extra time in their quarter final. The optimal preparation for us. They should be very tired after that match. TheNapalmNerd
Club World Cup Final: LIverpool (N) WINNERS!!! A very defensive performance from the opposition as we struggeld to get the goal but they never really came close to anything. We won in the end as we should. They got two injuries and we went defensive and played it safe the last 10 minutes after the goal. We actually only need one trophy and we've conquered everything. We'll have a shot at that in august when we play the European Super Cup against Barcelona.

TheNapalmNerd
UEFA Super Cup: Barcelona (N) WINNERS!!! And with that we ahve won every trophy available at club level at the start of our 17th season. It's been a long journey getting this far. San Marino has risen in the ranks along the way, and we still have a long way to go before it will be the glorious nation it has the potential to be. I think updates will be fewer in the future as most group stage matches don't need to be shown. Our next objective will be to become the most reputable team in the world and then have the nations coefficient become high enough to secure european football for more teams in San Marino. Overall it wasn't our best match, but we won in the end. The character of this sqaud has really gone up. We have done a lot of comebacks over the last year and this one will be up there among the best as well. We outplayed Barcelona and won in the end. It should have been much safer but at least we won. And ehm yeah. We bought Bellingham. He's 34 years old, but Scalvini wanted away, and we needed a new Model Professional to take care of mentoring for Riccardo Rosti. TheNapalmNerd
End of 2037 A lot of things has happened since the last update. Our autumn season was a succes as we won every match. We won everything last season and are aiming to do that again this season. So far this season I have played Riccardo Rosti in every match he was available. We upgraded the squad a lot this summer as we bought a new right back, left back, centre back and left winger to cover up some of the spots where we needed just a bit more quality: Kunert, Brennan and Osygus are great talents for the future. Kunert has already become part of our first team squad. We signed some world class players to really take control of world football. Some of these were at a higher age than our usual signings, but we no longer need to sign for the future as we have lots of talents in our squad, and we really needed to fill in those spots, to make sure we had the best players available for the big matches. With all those signings we also had to say goodbye to a lot of players: Lots of players sold at high prices, where Gori, Basto, Abdalas, Hugo Pearce, Alarcon, Scalvini and Huerta all were part of the first team squad previously. Our focus on Riccardo Rosti has upset a lot of players who want regular playing time, but it has alson influenced Rosti positively: His progress over the last two seasons suggests he is improving a lot. He should soon be the best San Marinese player. Speaking of San Marinese players, the national squad was quite succesful over the last season: They actually came quite close to second place in their group. and are now 114th in the world. The nation is really progressing and should soon break into top 100.
TheNapalmNerd
End of season 2038 Surprise surprise. We won everything possible in San Marino. Our european campaign however wasn't as big a succes this season as we lost in the semi finals of the Champions League to Bayern München. I made a case of using Riccardo Rosti in every match possible, but that shouldn't be the problem. It was simply just a case of every player underperforming, while Bayern overdid it. Over the season Riccardo Rosti has made some progress, and I am especially delighted that his personality has shifted from unambitious to spirited. It's not the best personality, but still a lot better.. He'll be homegrown in a few weeks, and I am hoping we can send him to italy to get some regular playing time in the Serie A for a season or two. I think it would do him good. We could also hope he goes to mexico. The players we have sent overseas have actually developed very well. We have Maertens who should be part of our first team squad after this season. He could go in and replace Paul Wood on right wing. Paul Wood could then replace Nikola Jovanovic, who doesn't like big matches, in attack.
TheNapalmNerd
San Marino in Europe: With the season over the san marinese league has once again risen in reputation: Not long before we reach 3,5 star reputation. The first two star player from one of the other squads has also appeared. Once they have full squads they will be able to play in europe. PSG won the Champions League this season. We are lucky to be number 1. We are back in 12th in the nation coefficients, meaning that San Marino are guaranteed a spot in the conference league in the 2039/2040 season. With at least a semi final next season we should be able to keep hold of 12th and make sure european participation is guaranteed in the future. TheNapalmNerd
Luck was with Victor San Marino With only five rounds to go they were six points ahead, but as you can see if they hadn't drawn with Inter they would have been relegated. They'll live to see another day in the Serie A. Database Note: Because of Victor San Marinos succes at staying in the Serie A, I have decided to remove the Serie C from the database. TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Playoffs - done! This is very interesting. Not for us, but SS Virtus actually ended up beating PSV Eindhoven and qualified for the Champions League! Shocking turn of events this season, and a very pleasant surprise. That wasn't the only surprise though. Tre Penne lost in the Europa League Qualification, but ended up beating Lokomotiv Plovdiv and qualifying for the Conference League, meaning that we have three teams in europe this season. Only once before has a team qualified other than us. This is a very good season already for the nations coefficient.
TheNapalmNerd
How's it going? We're well into the season. It's april 1st and we're in the Champions League Quarter Finals against Man City. I have been playing Riccardo Rosti in all the big matches i can, and his development is really moving forward: Meanwhile we're awaiting our (hopefully) next big San Marinese player: He'll be arriving next summer, and will be going into the first team squad right away. It has also been a very good season in europe for San Marinese football. SS Virtus and Tre Penne has been contributing very well to the coefficient, but unfortunately didn't go through their groups: Tre Penne lost to Alanyaspor in the last round effectively ending their campaign. They started off really well, and then everything fell to pieces. That loss and draw to HJK is a huge dissappointment. It is still much better than usual and makes good promise for the future. Qarabag drew with Napoli in the last round, winning a very important point to secure Europa League football. A crucial draw against Porto in the first round helped secure some points for the coefficient in an unexpected result. Thing were real close, but they ended up last. Still huge contribution though and before the quarter finals the coefficient is looking really good already this season: Last season we lost twice in the Champions League Semi Final, and this season we're way ahead already before the Quarter Finals. If we can win in the Quarter Finals against Man City we'll be going into the top 10 effectively securing direct qualification for the Champions League for the national Champions. TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Final 2039 We're back in the final after last years absence, and with a good chance at winning against Napoli. A little hurdle on the way with a loss to Man Utd in the group stage, and then we threw away a 0-4 lead in the quarter final away against Man CIty. Rosti got a red card and then everything turned around and we nearly lost that match. Our semi final was crazy, when we secured a huge win in both matches. We've secured 10th place in the national coefficients, and will go up in 9th if we win the final. It's so close. We'll lose another bad season next year and will be able to challenge for 8th and maybe even 7th. We'll effectively secure three european group stages for San Marino in 2040/2041 if we win the final and gain 9th. Then it's actually a matter of securing 6th if we are to gain something better. I hope we can consolidate the top 9 positions in the future with help from the other San Marinese teams. TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Final 2039: Napoli (N) Winners!!! Massive win. Safe victory and a crazy good performance from Bryan Maertens, who has taken over the right wing and has probably become our best player. Ahead of Jamie Ross (who is unsettled and Dias plays instead), Didier Dias and Ed Malyon. We won with a San Marinese player in the starting lineup, and Rosti even assisted the last goal and has contributed well over the season, and has really become a competent player for the team. TheNapalmNerd
San Marino in Europe: Gone are the days where we made huge jumps up the list, but we just got past the championship, and 17th is a good spot to be in for now. It will take long to go to the top, but we have come a long way, and the clubs are still going up the rankings. European football should help the other teams improve immensely. Our 1st place was very much consolidated with our win in the Champions League. We're at 9th and already off for a head start chasing 8th, as we stand to lose 5.500, while the netherlands lose 12.000. So for now we look up and chase Austria and Portugal while trying to keep Netherlands at bay.
TheNapalmNerd
Victor San Marino back in Serie B: They overperformed so muh in their first season and really fell down with a big bang this season. They actually started okay, but crisis really struck the club. Their general level has improven however, and they should soon be back in the top flight. TheNapalmNerd
Reputation update: We're up at five stars and can buy almost every player in the world. We just don't find it necessary right now, as we have the strongest squad in the world and only a few spots can really be upgraded. Tre Penne and Virtus have really improved a lot over the years. Soon no team will be half a star in reputation. Things have really switched up.
TheNapalmNerd
UEFA Super Cup 2039: Bayern München (N) Winners! and our second win at that as well. Dominant performance, and we actually ended up with three San Marinese players on the field at the end of the game, as we were just superior in performance. Really good result against a Bayern München team that is looking very strong actually. Our first trophy of the season and we're going for the quintuple. If we win the Champions League this season, we should become the biggest club in the world in terms of reputation.
TheNapalmNerd
I realised something very late in the game... So every season I've been rejecting lots of offers for our players with almost every player becoming upset, and it usually took a very long time to have morale come back. This season I tried maxing out the asking price and we're no longer facing endless offers for all our players, and as a result they all seem to be happy. They all became upset when i maxed the asking price, but every player dropped unhappiness when a team leader spoke to them. This is also helping me with contract extensions, as we're no longer facing players who don't want to renew their contract due to external interest. We're only at the start of our 19th season. I really should have known long ago. I have learned a lot during this save. It would be fun to see how fast I could win the Champions League starting all over with an amateur setup again, but that's not going to happen anytime soon. I can only hope I'd be able to it two or three seasons faster. That would have been pretty cool.
TheNapalmNerd
We're well into the 19th season, and newgens are coming: I stumbled upon this one, named after my alltime favorite player: And his favorite player is of course:
TheNapalmNerd
So far so good: It's been a good season so far. We've played with two San Marinese players in almost every match as we got 18 year old Simone Barretta last summer, and he looks a decent talent. I probably won't play him in the next matches though. But We've managed well with him so far. An okay talent for the nation. I'm hoping he can reach the level of Marani in the National Squad. Then they'd have a decent option for the next many seasons. Meanwhile things are looking very good with Riccardo Rosti, who has really improved since we started using him in the Champions League matches. He's no longer affected by mentoring which is quite lucky as Bellingham will retire at the end of the season. Rosti has turned into a fine player who can go a little further still. I hope he can go to a world class level. Then we will keep him in our squad. Otherwise we will send him away in a few seasons as we will then train up new players. Other than that we have two more San Marinese players who might turn out okay for the nation: Of course the general level of the players is still very low, but these are players that will be able to help San Marino reach top 100 soon. Right now they're in 109th position. As for the other squads in San Marino both Tre Penne and SS Virtus qualified for the Conference League this season. Virtus were lucky with their draw, finished first in their group and almost qualified for the quarter finals. Tre Penne weren't so lucky: The team they were supposed to beat (Dunajska Streda) gave them a severe beating. I really hoped they could get at least third place in that group. Overall their results have really helped the nations coefficient again this season and before we go into the quarter finals of the Champions League we're already at 8.900 for this season and will overtake The Netherlands in 8th place. We've got a long way to go still before we reach 6th. Austria have really been good in Europa League and Conference League and their teams are getting many points. Realistically we should peak at 7th next season if things go our way and then we'll stall our progress in the coefficient rankings, simply because we can't reach higher numbers before the oter Shan Marinese teams contribute more. TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Final 2040: Man Utd (N) Our third win in the Champions League in four seasons, and our fourth final in five seasons. We're dominating and once again we fielded Riccardo Rosti for the whole match. Before this season we went out and spent big on possibly the best goalkeeper in the world, and he has really delivered all season. Our defence has been really good. In all competitions combined this season we manage to only get 11 goals against us. Outrageous number. Our first Quintuple, and with that we are finally the biggest club in the world in terms of reputation:

TheNapalmNerd
Victor San Marino wins the Serie B! Once again Victor San Marino goes into the Serie A. Last time they had two seasons in the top league, and with the consistency they've shown during this season and the improvements they've made. TheNapalmNerd
San Marino in Europe 2040: We're once again at my favorite time of the season. Lots of improvements from the previous season will be shown once again. First of all the San Marinese League has once again gone up in the league rankings: 3,5 star reputation for the league and we will break into the top 15 hopefully next season. We still have a long way to go, and the other teams need to improve their standing, but they are slowly moving forward. The first two star players are at Virtus and Tre Penne now, and every club in top ten has at least a few 1,5 star ability players. We're way ahead in first place, after three Champions League wins withing the last five seasons. In the nations coefficient we are also improving once again and are now in 8th. It really shows that we've had two other teams in europe these last two seasons. We are depending on their participation in europe to improve the ranking. At the start of the next season we have a head start on Portugal and are hoping the austrian teams will fail. We are already guaranteed participation in the conference league for at least one team this season. If we can get to sixth place we will once again have another squad in the Champions League. That's when the other teams will really start to improve. Edited November 18, 2023 by TheNapalmNerd

These past seasons have been incredible for the team and for the nation. We've also reached a position where we're able to buy the biggest talents and the best players in the world and that has really helped us make that last step up. TheNapalmNerd
Almost end of season: Once again we're in the Champions League final in a rather superior campaign except for the loss against Man Utd and I don't know how we threw away that game against Porto. We always have a rather tight schedule at the end of the season and this one is no different: We've had a lot of injuries at some of our best performers and we've really missed our topscorer Ed Malyon who was out for six weeks, and finally came back in the Final League match against SS Virtus. Now we only have one match to go against City who beat Man Utd in the Semi Final. Man Utd are probably the second best team in europe when looking through the different squads. They have six of our former players in their starting lineup as well. City should be an okay opposition, but we are of course huge favorites.
TheNapalmNerd
Champions League Final 2041: Man City (N) Another win and this makes it 4 Champions League victories over the last five seasons. And this also marks the end of the 20th season at the club. We really shut them down, and they didn't have any big chances, but neither did we. Some changes will happen over the course of the incoming summer. Our Loan farm is loaded with great players. Lots of options in the squad and especially João Pereira and Alfonso Peña will go right into our starting lineup. Tom Laskowski is homegrown at the club and has been away to make a step up over the last two seasons. He will be the perfect sub for the future. TheNapalmNerd
Victor San Marino in the Conference League next season: After a terrible start to the season Victor San Marino defied all expectations and qualified for the conference league next season. Of course it also helped that five of the players in their starting lineup are loanees from us. But this will really help the improve and consolidate their position in the future. As an extra note, four of the players in the media dream eleven are players from Folgore. Peña, Hansen, Ortolá and Parilla. Meanwhile Skinner, Wood, Fonseca, Iacono and Molina are former players, and this summer we're signing Gavi on a free transfer (he's a model professional we want for mentoring). The only player we haven't had anything to do with is Kosloski in goal. Edited November 19, 2023 by TheNapalmNerd
TheNapalmNerd
Huuuuuuuuuuge jump this year! We're in the top ten with the San Marinese League. This is amazing and will most definitely help the other teams in the long run. This means more money will go into the league and the clubs while their reputation will rise, and in the long run the current ability of their players will rise as well. No news in this one after another Champions League run. The nations coefficient took a hit however: We still have a long way to go, before we can reach the next level. Last season we had Virtus in the Europa League and Fiorentino in the Conference League. Virtus won one match, and Fiorentino got severely beaten. As a result the nations coefficient wasn't succesful. We will probably have another bad season next year. Tre Penne aren't automatically qualififed for the conference league, and Virtus will be in the europa league again. It's still a long process, but things are going the right way.
TheNapalmNerd
FIFA Club World Cup After a bumpy start to the World Cup, we went and did the job all the way with a our Club World Cup plan of ultra defensive Tiki Taka football with low intensity to tire out opponents. Once again it has ensured our progression through the tournament.
TheNapalmNerd
FIFA Club World Cup Final: Man Utd (N) Winners! Tight match where we just waited to strike when they were tired. Our new wonderkid Ole Gunnar Solskjær (I do have the ingame editor installed, but really haven't used it), scored the last goal against Man Utd. He's only just turned 18 and is already looking like value for the money, with a price of 3.6M.
TheNapalmNerd
UEFA Super Cup: Sevilla (N) Winners... Not the most exciting match ever. I think i counted six shots on the woodwork from our side, and lots of chances where we should have sealed the deal. But no... In the end we still came out with the win though.
