Jimbokav1971
Dec 2028. Liga Finalización Final. It's no surprise that Millonarios came good again The worst thing about the overall table is that where as Millonarios and Atlético Nacional played 56 games, we only played 46 games. To miss out on 10 games in a season when we're a club for whom Youth Development is key, is a complete and utter shambles. We can't afford to miss out of 10 games. Millonarios are worthy champions with a whopping 122 points, (even if it's not really 122 points). Millonarios have been pretty dominant since the save began. Finances. Jimbokav1971
I may have made a mistake. Jan 2029. In my 1st season in charge I sold (16) Parra 6'0" HG for just £100k but I didn't include any add-ons. I don't regret selling him, (it had to be done), but I do regret not including add-ons in the deal. He's already been transferred for £3.5M and 25% of that would have been £875,000. He's now worth £13.5M - £16.5M.

Jimbokav1971
Jan 2029. Liga Apertura. Our expectations have been significantly lowered this season after a really poor 2nd Phase last year. This season I will just be happy if we make it to both Semi's and qualify for any Continental competition next season. Copa Libertadores. We take a lead into a 2nd leg and hopefully that will be more than enough to see us through. Transfers. I didn't really want to sell (20) Palacio 5'10" *, but he had just 12 months left on his contract and wasn't prepared to sign a new deal so he just had to go. Records. Reputation. Sponsorship. Season Tickets. I can't work out how this is being ranked, or why we are at the top, but obviously not near the top by either Tickets Sold or Total Revenue. Salary per annum. Net Transfer Spend. Goal-scoring GK's. Nothing this month. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 19/25 from the spot at 76%. Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%. (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 4/5 from the spot at 80%. Jimbokav1971
Feb 2029. Liga Apertura. It's been a good start to the league campaign. Especially so when you consider that the 2nd Team have had to play in quite a few games due to the 1st Team playing in the Copa Libertadores. The key in these early months is just making sure we don't lose ground. To be top is brilliant! Copa Libertadores. I didn't know at what stage we would enter what tournament as winners of the Copa Dimayor last season. We have previously qualified for Continental competition through the league. Starting in the early rounds is good in so much as we get extra games. (Last season we went straight into the Group Stage as Liga Dimayor Champions). I think I prefer this because it just gives a nice balance to the start of the season. The 1st Team play in the Continental games and the 2nd Team playing in the domestic league. Once we qualify then things swap round and the 2nd Team plays in the Continental Group games where possible. This is such a rubbish Group. Not only do we get a Brazilian club, (it doesn't really matter which one because they are all too strong), but we also get Millonarios. Transfers. There are no other deals I have to make this season and this one was just a young player who I had already decided was never going to play for the 1st Team. Any bid was going to be accepted because it not only gives us some cash, but also gets him off the payroll. Goal-scoring GK's. You will notice that (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" has no left the club completely, (and the best of luck to him at Atlético Nacional). He scored against Deportiva y Cultural de Pereira at the beginning of this month and it was completely fitting that he also scored in his last game for the club, (against Club Olimpia of Paraguay), and that leaves him on 21 career goals. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%.(Is just being kept as backup. This will be his last season at the club). (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 4/5 from the spot at 80%. (Is our 1st choice GK despite only being 19 years old). Clauses. I accepted the cash for these deals simply because I want to build up a sizeable bank balance that will stop the El Presidente getting involved in any incoming transfer bids for our players. It's possible that we might have made more by holding on, but this is brilliant money for us. This is fantastic money. It was too much to turn down. (16) JM.Zapata. (21) Holguín HG. Finances. I've had to work hard at it in the opening seasons of the save, (and I will keep having to work at it), but we now have £14M+ in the bank and we still have various clauses outstanding on 13 different players. Our growned is owned by the council so it's likely that El Presidente will look to buy it at some point

Unless they have changed it in FM24 (doubt) then the game gives you no indication of how much this would cost (not that I could see anyway). In my Stuttgart save last year I'd completely forgotten I had requested this and spent a long time trying to work out where ~200m went from my accounts... I was already on the fence about shelving that save, and that action clinched it.

Jimbokav1971
NxGn 2029. (27b) Hoyos (Perfect) * is of course (27b) Hoyos (Merc) * now and I just haven't changed his name. He was ranked #37 last season and has risen to #34 now. He still has 2 more years on the list as he's still only 17 now. I've been really trying to restrict his mins, (because I don't want to cause late career burn-out by overloading the front of his career, but he has still made 29(2), 31(3) and 9 appearances so far. That's still a lot even though I think I have managed him pretty well so far. It will be harder if he keeps developing because he's already the 3rd best player at the club. Jimbokav1971
Mar 2029. Liga Apertura. We sit 2nd, just 1 point off Independiente Santa Fe, (although both Unión Magdalena & Millonarios both have a game in hand on us). I'm actually really happy with how things have gone and this season we're significantly over-achieving considering the players we've lost and our performances in the Copa Libertadores. The 1st Team lost against Deportes Quindío, and despite it being a poor performance, they still did enough to deserve a win. The Millonarios loss was the 2nd Team and I was delighted with the performance and the 4-2 loss away from home. Copa Libertadores. The 2nd Team played both these games and I'm astonished that they somehow managed to beat Millonarios away from him. Although it was a bit of a smash and grab win with 2 late goals, we actually played really well, (while not actually deserving anything out of the game never mind about a win). Facilities. With so much money in the bank it seemed silly not to ask for another upgrade. Goal-scoring GK's. 1 unsuccessful pen taken this month by (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" *. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%.(Is just being kept as backup. This will be his last season at the club). (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 4/6 from the spot at 67%. (Is our 1st choice GK despite only being 19 years old). Finances. Really happy with our financial position for this stage of the career. I expected us to be here, but only as a result of the (18) Asprilla clause, which actually generated zilch despite him now being worth at Southampton. We did it the hard way, but we got there in the end anyway.
Jimbokav1971
Apr 2029. Liga Apertura. This month wasn't actually a disaster despite the 2 losses. We had a player sent off against Leones & Llaneros and the 21st min red against Llaneros definitely cost us the game and we almost got a draw even a man down. I expected Unión Magdalena & Independiente Santa Fe to fall off, but if it's going to happen they're certainly not showing any signs of it. It seems strange seeing someone other than ourselves, Millonarios & Atlético Nacional topping the table. If Millonarios win their game in hand then they draw level with us, so at least we're likely to go into the Semi Stage without too much of a deficit. Independiente Santa Fe finished 4th last season, so their form this season shouldn't have been as much a surprise as it has been. They lost in Copa Sudamericana qualifying, so they don't have anywhere near the number of games we do. Unión Magdalena were Runners Up in Torneo Dimayor, (2nd Tier) last season so their form is astonishing. They shouldn't be able to perform at anywhere near this level despite not having to play Continental games. To put their performances this season into perspective, the team who beat them to the 2nd Tier title last season, (Cortuluá), sit in 10th place, 16 points behind the side that they beat by 23 points last season. I still think Millonarios are favourites for the title. Copa Libertadores. Any points we earn in this competition is a bonus. We're really just here for the money that we've already pocketed. Goal-scoring GK's. Nothing this month. Finances.
Jimbokav1971
May 2029. Liga Apertura. Winning 14 out of 20 Phase 1 League games is great...... just so long as we can take that form into the Semi Final Group stage right...... Liga Apertura. Semi Final Group. Our form is great in the League and then we progress to the Semi-Finals and we just implode. We scored 5 more goals than the 2nd highest goal-scorers in the league, and then we couldn't hit a cows behind with a banjo once we get to the Semi's! Copa Libertadores. I think this is another astonishing result. Not a single 1 of our 2nd Team players get into the Millonarios 1st Team, but thankfully for us the AI hasn't worked out that a rubbish but rested player will beat a good but fatigued player pretty damn often. 2 of our 3 wins in this Group have come against them. Copa Dimayor. We're in the next round. That's all that matters/ Goal-scoring GK's. Nothing to see here. I'm really surprised by how few pens we're winning. There seems to have been a change in the ME between #FM23 and #FM24, (of course there has been a bloomin change), but I'm particularly noticing how much more influential WB's are in my tactic in #FM24 and our struggles tend to be when our best WB's are injured. Jimbokav1971
Jun 2029. Liga Apertura. Semi Final Group. We finished stronger than we started the Semi's, but we were absolutely smashed to bits by injuries. Despite Unión Magdalena and Independiente Santa Fe setting the early pace, it's once again the established sides of Millionarios and Atlético Nacional who progress to the Final. This is what the overall table looks like after the Semi's but before the Final. I will check to see how it looks after the Final and see if all points have been added. The 1st Leg of the Final has been played and the 27th game has been added to the participants record, and Atlético Nacional have gained 3 more points. Millonarios won the 2nd leg, and then went and won the tie on pens. The 28th game has been added to the record of both participants and Millonarios have been awarded 3 points. Whether that's because the won the 2nd leg or because they won the tie remains to be seen. Goal-scoring GK's. Nothing again. Finances. Jimbokav1971
Jul 2029. Liga Finalización. It doesn't feel like we're in good form, despite our only loss in the league being when the 2nd Team had to play in-form Unión Magdalena, (who struggled in the Semi-Finals, but who have picked up in the league right right where they left off). Overall Table. Our form in the Semi-Final Group let us down, but we's still in 3rd, 6 points clear of 4th. There is a long way to go yet. Copa Libertadores. The 2nd Team played really well but Boca just wore us down and scored 3 2nd half goals to win comfortably in the end. Transfers. (24a) Gómez (Bal) 6'5" * is attracting bids from both Brazilian and Argentinian clubs, but thankfully he's contracted until the end of 2032 so there is no rush to sell him. He recently asked for a new contract, and while I was delighted with this, he also demanded that there was a min fee release clause of £1.7M in it, (and that's just not going to happen), so it looks like we have him for 2 more years before we sell him. If I could sign him to a 3+3 deal with no min fee release clause, then it could provide the springboard to really move this save on because he is rather good. This was much harder to turn down, but we don't need the money right now and we also don't need to sell the player for quite a while. His value is surely only going to rise so the longer we hold off the bigger the fee we will eventually receive. Wow! I'm impressed that El Presidente didn't accept this one. That's a LOT of money. Facilities. Things are really starting to shape now in terms of the facilities and I'm really hopeful of a decent intake, (just not strikers or wingers please). Training Facilities. Level 14-15. Youth Facilities. Level 16-17. Junior Coaching. Level 20. Youth Recruitment. Level 19-20. Goal-scoring GK's. Nothing again. I've noticed that WB's seem to be more offensive (and influential), in the current game and what's happening is that our wide strikers are being forced inside by the WB's in this ME and so the running with the ball is being done by the WB's outside rather than by the strikers more centrally. This of course means that they're earning more free-kicks and fewer pens. If this doesn't resolve itself I might have to have a look and see what I can tweak. Finances. Jimbokav1971
Aug 2029. Liga Finalización. Now this really is decent form, but unfortunately Millonarios are unbeaten and giving us nothing. If they win their game in hand they go top. Overall League Table. The top 3 are creating a bit of a gap at the top, but are cracks starting to show in Unión Magdalena because they have lost 2 of their last 5. Copa Libertadores. The 2nd Team did brilliantly to win the 2nd leg, but we still crash out 5-4 on aggregate to the Argentinian Giants. Copa Dimayor. We were poor in the 1st leg and well beaten and if I'm completely honest didn't deserve to take the 2nd leg to pens. We did though and eventually lost 5-4 on pens. I'm not frustrated though. Both these games were played by the 2nd Team and if we do this then we need to accept that this can happen. I would have liked to retain the Cup, but it wasn't to be. Goal-scoring GK's. 1 pen converted by (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * this month. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%.(Is just being kept as backup. This will be his last season at the club). (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 5/6 from the spot at 83%. Jimbokav1971
Sep 2029. Liga Finalización. As soon as there are fewer games being played, we struggle because our players aren't good enough to win games on a level playing field without the advantage of rotating 2 squads to give us a condition/fitness advantage. Despite that we did still smash Lenoes for 6 and stuck 4 on Once Caldas, (so no problems going forward). Under 20 Intercontinental Cup. New contract. We've managed to sign (24a) Gómez (Bal) 6'5" * to a 3+3 deal without a min fee release clause, so I'm ecstatic. We've turned down a £12.4M offer for him, so that perhaps gives an indication as to how good he might become. (He's pretty decent already). His new contract, his recent call-up to the (COL) NT and the increased interest in him has rocketed his valuation and he's now valued at a whopping . Even happier now that I didn't sell him, (and that El Presidente didn't get involved), Goal-scoring GK's. Goals in each of the last 2 games of the month bring (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * to 7 career goals. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%. (Is just being kept as backup. This will be his last season at the club). (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 7/8 from the spot at 88%. Jimbokav1971
Nov 2029. Liga Finalización. Liga Finalización. Semi Final Group. We started poorly and this was largely my fault due to the 2nd Team not being match fit after having no games in October. It's such a strange pattern of fixtures. I think we usually have 2 Cup games in October, but as we went out early, we obviously didn't have to play. Overall League Table. Goal-scoring GK's. 3x GK goals this month. (28a) Pocarrero (F.Det) 6'2 * scored his 1st career goal with a consolation away to Millonarios and then (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * scored a brace in the home game against Millonarios. Jimbokav1971
Player of the Year. Dec 2029. (22) Ramírez HG wins Player of the Year after coming Runners Up in 2026. (15) Yeison Guzmán HG was the Runner Up, but he would have got my vote despite not being one of my players. (He is of course a product of our Academy before my time). He always seems to be brilliant against us. He either scores or assists every game against us and is always hugely influential. (22) Ramírez HG is the 3rd of our players to win this award and the other 2 were sold shortly afterwards. I've already rejected bids for him and at 23 years old he has 2 years remaining on his contract. Ideally we will keep him for 1 more season and then sell him with 12 months left on his contract. Jimbokav1971
Colombian Liga Dimayor Team of the Season. Dec 2029. We've got 3 players in the Team of the Year, but also a 4th who is an ex Academy product. (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * is a big surprise on this list because this is his 1st full season in Senior football and of course our old GK (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 1st choice GK for both the (COL) NT, (he now has 25 Caps), and Atlético Nacional where he made 39 league appearances but 44(1) appearances in all competitions. He probably squeezed in because he scored 5 goals in the league this season, obviously boosting his Avg Rating nicely. (20) Mesa plays in a key position for us, but isn't actually a key player, (if that makes sense). I think that WB's are significantly op in the ME and he's very influential despite not actually being great. I think we will absolutely tear this league up when we have some proper WB's. (22) Ramírez HG won Player of the Year and I have showed his profile and history in the previous post. (15) Yeison Guzmán HG is our ex Academy product who was Runner Up in the Player of the Year and he was also shown in the previous post.

Jimbokav1971
Squad Stats. Jan 2030. Squad by Appearances. I think I managed the appearances better this season with only 2 outfield players starting 40+ games and only 4 more starting 35+. It's not perfect, but it's acceptable when you look at who the players are and how key they are. Squad by Goals. The progress (24c) Suárez (F.Amb) * has made over the last 12 months really is significant, and he's probably the best player at the club now. His physicals have held him back a little until now, but he's starting to get that sorted too. The top goal-scorer in the league scored 30 goals this season, (playing for a mid-table side), so it would be good to see him get close to the 30 goal mark next season. Squad by Assists. We shared the assists through the squad quite well, with 6 players contributing at least 9 assists, but nobody contributing more than 11. I would love to see 8-10 hit double figures next season. Squad by Avg Rating. The player I want to pick out here is (28b) Salazar (F.Pro) * who contributed 9 goals + 9 assists in 29(3) appearances at the tender age of 17. Squad by National Team. We've only got 1 player in a Senior NT squad, but hopefully this will increase over the next few seasons as we hang onto players longer before selling them Squad by CA. We only have 3x players who have a CA greater than 3.0 Squad by PA. We've got 17x 5.0 PA players at the club now, (which is amazing), but we also have 7x 4.5 PA players and even 14x 4.0 PA players. When you consider that we only have 3x players who have better than 3.0 CA these numbers are staggering!
Jimbokav1971
Youth Intake day. Jan 2030. We've got some green, (Elite Talents). 2 of the Elite's aren't forwards. It's a 5.0 Excellent Intake. It's a rubbish intake for Nationalities. The (Det) levels in the group seem great. (30b) Mosquera (F.Loyal) looks really god if we can just sort his physicals. I'm not signing the 3 players with single-digit (Det). It could be risky not signing players on Day 1, but if they are any good then they will just make it somewhere else and we can pick them up again further down the line. Jimbokav1971
Jan 2030. Liga Apertura. Reputation. Records. Transfers. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" leaving Atlético Nacional on a free after just 2 seasons, (1 of which was spent on loan with us), is simply ridiculous. It's ridiculous for us because we lose our 50% clause, but it's also even more ridiculous for Atlético Nacional because they effectively paid the money to have him for 1 single season. How on Earth have they agreed to just a 2 year deal, (when they know he's getting loaned back to us for 1 of those), and not included a +1, +2 or +3 deal? It's absolute madness. Goal-scoring GK's. Of greatest concern to me is that the 2 best players the club has produced in recent memory, (18) Asprilla, (before my time) and more recently (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1", have both left their 2nd clubs on a free, costing us an absolute fortune in lost add-ons. Jimbokav1971
Colombia National Team production. Mar 20230. We're joint 2nd on the list, (with Millonarios), and our players are made up equally of players who have come through the Academy before the game started (2), and those who have come through under my tenure (2). I've long held the belief, (opinion not fact), that for some reason the 1st intake in all saves in FM is "super-charged" and is better than future intakes. The fact that we have 2 players here from the (24) intake could add weight to that, but equally could just be down to the fact that They are a year older than the (25) intake and 2 years older than the (26) intake, (etc etc etc), so have had more time to develop. Every time I see (16) Parra 6'0" HG I'm reminded that I sold him for just £100k plus no add-ons. The sooner he retires the better. (21) Banguera 6'4" HG hasn't developed quite as well as I would have liked after leaving us and it perhaps adds weight to the argument that we got really good money for him, (not once, but twice). (24a) Gómez (Bal) 6'5" * might not be our best player, but he's certainly our most important player. We're desperate to get some decent centre-backs through the intake. I still feel slighted that (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" left Atlético Nacional on a free and we missed out on 50% of something big. He was my favourite player in the save so far though I think, (so I love him really). We've got 2x GK's and 2x DC's in the squad, and it's interesting that someone like (18) Asprilla isn't in the squad, (despite scoring 16 Premier League goals this season). Oh hang on. He hasn't scored 16 Premier league goals actually because Southampton were relegated last season so he's scored 16 Championship goals, (and he only scored 6 Premier league goals in their relegation season). Having said that, he's not a striker and his goals ratio is still pretty good. (COL) must have some good players that he doesn't even get a call-up. Colombia strangely play 442 and their wide players are Sinisterra and Luis Diaz, (so it makes sense that (18) Asprilla doesn't start, but I wonder who the other players are that are keeping him out of the squad completely? Alfredo Morelos is a starting striker and the Rangers Researcher is taking the pee if he thinks he's that good in real life. He went from barely getting into double figure goals a season to a 30+ goal a season man overnight, (earning a £21.5M move to the Middle East where he has continued his prolific form). He's really nowhere near that good in real life. Cucho Hernández is a decent striker, but I think I could score a few goals in the MLS. There are actually no other wide players in the squad, (other than Sinisterra and Luis Diaz). Tomás Ángel can fill in out wide, but he's very much a striker. Aponte (COL) is a striker and wow he looks good. The sooner Millonarios sell him the better. (They've also got this kid called Pacheco (COL) * who has terrorized us in recent seasons & who must surely be on the verge of a call-up). All in all some really strange decision-making by the (COL) NT Manager who is..... Argentinian Néstor Lorenzo. (I am really not a fan of Nations being managed by foreigners). Jimbokav1971
NxGn 2030. (27b) Hoyos (Merc) * has become (27b) Hoyos (F.Det) * but either way he is the only player on this list for us, (again). It's his 3rd season on the list, (37th 34th and now 34th again), and he has just 1 more year to move up the rankings. Unfortunately I think his Natural Fitness is playing a part in restricting the development of his physical attributes and this is holding him back as a player. He really needs to become more athletic to go to the next level, (but then again he is still only 18).

Jimbokav1971
Mar 2030. Liga Apertura. We've had a REALLY good month in the league and are now the only unbeaten side. Millonarios top the table, but only because we have a game in hand. Copa Libertadores. Our 2nd Team are playing in these games now that we are in the Group stage, so these performances are really quite remarkable. Goal-scoring GK's. Just 1 pen this month, (missed against Once Caldas), but it didn't cost us points thankfully. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Jimbokav1971
International duty. May 2030. The penny finally seems to have dropped for the Argentinian manager of Colombia, and he has picked more than 1 of our players, as well as some more of our Academy products, but I know for a fact that there are other young players who should be in the squad but aren't. There is a fair bit of quality missing for whatever reason. Although only 3 of our players have been called up, there are 7 products of our Academy in the squad. [Edit] Only 2 players made the Final squad from our lads. And just 4 Academy lads in total now. Edited November 13, 2023 by Jimbokav1971
Jimbokav1971
Apr & May 2030. *Sorry. I was so engrossed in the game that I forgot to post the update. Liga Apertura. We've been in really good form in the league and even the 1 single loss here against Bogotá FC, was a game in which we should have scored far more than we did, yet thay managed to scored 4 goals from just 3 shots. (Not 3 shots on target by the way. 3 Shots of any type). I can't complain though because all that was the 1st Team losing that game, the 2nd Team had twice come from 3 goals down to draw 3-3 in the games preceding that, so we were perhaps due a little bad luck. Sometimes that's just the way it goes, (although it was gutting to lose the 1st League game of the season). Despite that though, we somehow still find ourselves 3 points behind Millonarios, (who have lost 2), simply because they have drawn fewer games and won more. We're scoring more, but they're conceding less. Liga Apertura. Semi Final Group. We've taken our good league form into the Semi-Final Group and we should qualify comfortably from here, but the bigger news is of course that Millonarios, (who were 3 points ahead of us at the end of the 1st League Phase), have lost all 3 of their Semi-Final games so far and that will cost them in the overall table. We really need to take advantage of that now because it will make all the difference come the end of the season. My only real concern is that we're about to lose 2 players to International duty at the World Cup, and one of those is centre-half (24a) Gómez (Bal) 6'5" * who we simply can't do without if I'm honest. The only thing that might save is is that we only have 3 games scheduled in June, (next month), plus x2 Finals if we get there, and if Colombia don't get out of the Group Stages then he might be back in time for July, (which already has 7 games scheduled for us). Copa Libertadores. It would have been great to qualify for the Knockout Stages of the Copa Libertadores, and we were probably a little unlucky not to do so considering the 2nd Team played all the games, but finishing 3rd we drop into the Copa Sudamericana Knockout Stages and as long as we don't draw a Brazilian side we have a chance to progress. The 3-3 draw away to Fluminense was significant in so much as we had a player sent off as early as the 21st min, (while leading 2-1), and our 2nd Team still came away with something against the Brazilian side. Our GK (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * was also injured in the 33rd min in this game and although I usually have a GK on the bench for Continental games, (12 subs as opposed to 7), I didn't in this game for some reason. As a result my Ass Man brought on WBR (20) Mesa in the 33rd and took him off in the 45+4th min. (HT). Then replaced him with MC (19) D.Zapata, but by the end of the game (19) D.Zapata was playing outfield and (22) Bonilla *, (who spent the whole game on the pitch and most of it up front), was now playing in goal! Records. Goal-scoring GK's. 1 goal for (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * before he got injured against Fluminense and then against Cortuluá after his return, and (28a) Pocarrero (F.Det) 6'2 * scored again during the injury period. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%. (Is no longer at the club). (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 11/13 from the spot at 85%. (28a) Pocarrero (F.Det) 6'2 * is 4/4 from the spot at 100%. Finances.
Jimbokav1971
Jun 2030. Liga Apertura. Semi Final Group. For the 1st time ever we won all 6 of our Semi-Final Group games, (generating a whopping 18 points). Our closest rivals for the Overall League Title at the end of the season are likely to be Millonarios & Atlético Nacional, and they only scored 10 and 15 points respectively. Liga Apertura Finals. Overall Table, (at the half-way stage). 45 pts from the 1st Phase League + 18 points from the Semi-Final Group + 4 points from the Finals = 69 points. Atlético Nacional got 41 points in the 1st Phase League + 15 points in the Semi Final Group + 1 point in the Finals = 57. (They are only on 56 points in the table, so 1 point short), and this is because as I suspected before the 2nd leg of the FInal doesn't count points won if you don't win the tie itself. Either way, we're 11 points clear of Millonarios and 13 points clear of Atlético Nacional. Internationals. New contract. A 4 and a half year deal no less. Hall of Fame. How can I be in the HoF? I've hardly won anything? Goal-scoring GK's. Nothing this month. Finances.

It was the 1st season of the save where we have had enough depth to completely rotate 2 squads every single game and it makes a huge difference to not only consistency, but also player development. Really starting to think we can compete on a regular basis no. Losing big players will always set us back a little, (especially in areas where we are a little short), but we're starting to really get depth in just about all areas, (other than centre-half). Long way to go though. We had won the Liga Finalización previously, (and sneaked the Liga Dimayor on a rule bug), but this is the 1st time we have won the Liga Apertura, (1st half of the season is generally busier because we have Continental games + domestic Cup games to play on top of an already front-loaded schedule), but it will all count for nothing if we can't hang on. Jimbokav1971
Jul 2030. Liga Finalización. We may not have started the 2nd Phase with a 100% record like the top 3, but we're in better shape than Millonarios who have already lost, (to Atlético Nacional). Overall Table. We've got an 11 point advantage over Atlético Nacional and a 15 point gap over Millonarios. The only thing I'm concerned about is that when we lose in either the Copa Sudamericana or the Copa Dimayor it will trigger a morale hit that could snowball into a run of poor form. Copa Sudamericana. U20's. That makes it 3 times in a row for the AI managed U20's. We needed pens to win both the Semi and the Final, but we still won! (28c) Barreto (Bal) has sort of fallen through the cracks a little in so much as we have so many good PA strikers, a 4.0 PA striker has dropped down the pecking order when I'm looking to pick someone in a rotated squad for experience. As a result he is yet to make his senior debut, (but he actually looks (28f) Boyacá. (F.Pro) made his League debut in 2028, but not featured since. It's hard to break into the 1st or 2nd Teams because as well as the 1st Team and 2nd Team starters, we also have 2x MC's who sit on the bench for both pre-selected teams and only start when someone is injured, (so to get in the starting lineup for a youngster, a lot of MC's have to be injured). He's reasonable though. (29a) Tello (F.Sport) * hasn't made his senior debut yet, but he has 5.0 PA and with some development in the right places, who knows what he might offer. Goal-scoring GK's. The pen that (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * missed against Cruzeiro Esporte Clube might prove costly as we go into the 2nd leg away without the goal advantage a successful pen would have given us. I try not to get too down about individual results never mind about individual goals, but Brazilian clubs are so tough at this stage of the save and with a goal advantage from the home leg we had a bit of a chance. I think we need a miracle to drawn with them away from home. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%. (Is no longer at the club). (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 11/14 from the spot at 79%. (28a) Pocarrero (F.Det) 6'2 * is 4/4 from the spot at 100%. (Has gone on loan to Real Cartagena FC in the Colombian 2nd tier). Finances. We're down to our last £8M in the bank and even though we tend to lose more money later in the season, we're still in both Cups so more games equal more gate receipts and more prize money.
Jimbokav1971
Aug 2030. Liga Finalización. We stumbled a little in the league this month. largely because as we approach the business end of the Cups, I have again rotated the 1st Team away from League duty and onto the Cups. The 1st Team played the 2nd leg of the Copa Sudamericana Quarter Final, (winning away to Banfield), and after the 2nd Team lost the 1st leg of the Copa Dimayor, (to Independiente Medellín), the 1st Team will be pushed into service there to in the hope of over-turning the 1st leg deficit. Of course that means that the 2nd team will plat more League games, and that explains the loss to Unión Magdalena. Copa Sudamericana. The away win at Cruzeiro was one of the best of the save so far, but to beat Banfield home and away was pretty decent too. Millonarios are in the Semi-Finals with us, and thankfully we have avoided them in the draw. Both of us will play Brazilian opposition. Copa Dimayor. The 1st Team are going to play the 2nd leg in the hope of getting us through to the Semi's. Goal-scoring GK's. 2 goals from (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * this month brings him to 13 career goals. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%. (Is no longer at the club). (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 13/16 from the spot at 81%. (28a) Pocarrero (F.Det) 6'2 * is 4/4 from the spot at 100%. (He has gone out on loan to the Colombian 2nd Tier). I'm not completely sure if it's poor from the AI managing the club, or it's really good from the AI managing the player/agent. You have to remember that it was actually a 2 year deal, (so that seems fine), and although £2.9M was big money to us, it probably wasn't big money to them. That being said, I've just had a look and it wasn't pocket change for them either. This season Atlético Nacional spent £10M on players. The season before they spent £4M on players. The season this deal went through they spent £6.25M on players. Their finances are secure rather than rich though, so whatever they're doing they don't seem to be amazing at it. I thought they were going to have a chance of toppling Millonarios, but now that Millonarios have swapped managers they appear to be back on track. I think there is a serious case of miss-management going on at Atlético Nacional and Millonarios are still the big power in Colombia.
Jimbokav1971
Sep 2030. Liga Finalización. We had a bit of a wobble after we were knocked out of the Liga Dimayor, but we were soon back on track and finished the month strongly. We're 5 points off the pace, but we do have 2 games in hand so I'm not hugely concerned. Overall Table. Even without the games in hand we're still 8 points clear in the Overall Table, (but I don't want to rely on that). I would love to win the 2nd Phase league outright, (after already winning the 1st Phase League outright). Copa Dimayor. The 1-0 loss at home in the 1st leg proved costly, as even the 1st Team couldn't overturn the deficit and we crash out of the Cup. It was just one of those games where the ball just wouldn't go in and I think I would rather have it happen in the Cup than the league. Actually though.... as I wrote that I said to myself, "no I bloomin wouldn't", so I think we just have to take it on the chin anyway. We've won a LOT of games this season and this just wasn't one of them. U20's. The real name for this competition is the U20 Intercontinental Cup and it appears to be quite a new introduction in real life, won 1st by Benfica over Penarol in 2022 and then by Boca Juniors over AZ Alkmaar in 2023. We've now won it 3 years on the bounce, (managed by the AI). I do absolutely nothing except sign most of the Youth Intake and deal with their individual training. Goal-scoring GK's. 2 goals this month as (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * scored our only goal in the 2nd leg of the Cup as we crashed out, but the real story is that of 17 year old (29a) Tello (F.Sport) *, who made his debut in the last game of the month against Llaneros FC, (who sound Welsh by the way). He was playing because (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * was away on INT duty with ENG U21's. He scored the only goal of the game and kept a clean sheet, (making 6 saves in the process). It was a hell of a debut. [Edit] He also completed 29/29 passes. He had a great game. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%. (Is no longer at the club). (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 14/17 from the spot at 82%. (28a) Pocarrero (F.Det) 6'2 * is 4/4 from the spot at 100%. Jimbokav1971
Oct 2030. Liga Finalización. 0 losses 6 games is decent, but when 3 of them are draws it still means that we've dropped 6 points. Thankfully 1 of them was against Millonarios, (so any point is a good point), and with 1 game still to play we're just 1 point behind Atlético Nacional. The Overall Table however shows that we still have a lead of 11 points on Millonarios, and 12 points on Atlético Nacional. With 1 league game remaining, and then 6 in the Semi and 2 in the Final, there are still 27 points still to play for so nothings done and dusted. Copa Sudamericana. Our priority is the league, (because any Cup is only about money & rep), but I thought the 2nd Team had given us a valuable draw until they conceded in 1st the 95th min and then the 96th min. Taking a 1-goal lead into the 2nd leg was doable. Chasing a deficit against Brazilians is too much for u at this stages I think. I thought we had done it when we scored the last min winner in Brazil, but all that meant was penalties, and again we came up short. What a brilliant campaign though. 18 games played in both Continental competitions this season. That's brilliant stuff on top of our..... potential 56 league games. It's a good job we didn't play in the Súperliga Dimayor this season and that we missed out on 4 games in the Copa Dimayor. Colombia NT at the 2030 World Cup. I forgot to tell you earlier in the season that Colombia got out of their Group in the World Cup, but then fell to a heavy defeat to USA. France battered England in the Final, with lots of familiar names on show. Wow! This is a real player. Well I never! I didn't know this. I'm not sure how he's playing so regularly for ENG, (and doing really well), while not really featuring very often for Feyenoord at all. Sean Dyche is the England manager by the way! International duty. (27b) Hoyos (F.Det) * has morphed into (27b) Hoyos (F.Res) * and he's really developing into quite a player. His physicals are still just a little low, (at least a little low for someone who plays in a 2 in midfield), and although I've had him working on Pace and Acceleration, it's been a real struggle. I think we might be getting some bids from him when the window opens, but to be completely honest I'm not really interested. He's contracted until the end of 2034 so I'm under no pressure to sell for at least a couple of years. It will be interesting to see how much he develops over that time. Youth Intake preview. I still find it impossible to work out the relationship between the preview and the intake itself. In particular I was hoping for some decent centre-backs, so to see that position rated as an E isn't what I was looking for. Wingers are just wide strikers in this save and we really don't need them right now, but GK's and FB's/WB's are always gratefully received. It's worth noticing that there are 2x GK;s in the intake and despite being rated as an E, I also notice that there are 3x DC's in this intake. Things are so desperate that I have been re-training a 6'1" DR to play centre-half in the 2nd half of this season. Goal-scoring GK's. 0 goals this month. (Is on loan in the Colombian 2nd Tier). (29a) Tello (F.Sport) * is 1/1 from the spot at 100%. Finances. £640k is a rubbish amount for getting to the Semi.
Jimbokav1971
International Duty. Nov 2030. I'm not used to playing in South America and I honestly don't know if games ever get postponed because of International call-ups in Colombia. It's possible that they don't, because the expectation is that the player called up for the NT, (and even aged group teams), don't play in the domestic leagues. They are invariably all playing abroad. The other thing that seems to be happening is that their International cycle doesn't seem the same as that in Europe, (I thought International fixture windows were the same the World over). This doesn't seem to be the case here. To give you an example, the 2 ENG lads are away on NT duty right now, (1x U23's and 1x U20's), but none of the COL lads are on NT duty. The South American lads seem to go away at 1 time and the European lads seem to go away at another time. I don't know if there is a number for call-ups that we're not triggering to postpone games, (3 certainly doesn't do it), but equally I don't know if 5 is enough to do the job because of the way the call-ups are being split. I suppose we will just keep on keeping on and all will become clear sooner or later. And here are the same lists for our Shortlist of Academy products. Jimbokav1971
Nov 2030. Liga Finalización. We could only manage a draw which means that we don't win the 2nd Phase League, but we need to look at the bigger picture. Liga Finalización. Semi Final Group. What's key here isn't just that we top the Group, but also that we collected more points than Millonarios who won the other group, so in the Overall Table we actually gain more points on them. As a result of both the league campaign and the Semi-Final results, we're 13 points clear of Millonarios with just the 2 Final games remaining so we've won the Overall League already irrespective of whether we win the 2nd Phase Final or not. Goal-scoring GK's. With International call-ups and injury and availability we actually used 3 different GK's this month, with 20 year old (26g) San José (Temp)(ESP)6'1" the one not getting on the scoresheet. (29a) Tello (F.Sport) * scored against Junior FC and then (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" * scored against Unión Magdalena. (24e) Ramos (Driven) 6'1" is 21/27 from the spot at 78%. (Is no longer at the club). Fontalvo 6'4" is 9/10 from the spot at 90%. (Is no longer at the club). (25b) Hyam (ENG)(IRL) 6'1" is 15/18 from the spot at 83%. (28a) Pocarrero (F.Det) 6'2 * is 4/4 from the spot at 100%. (In on loan in the Colombian 2nd Tier). (29a) Tello (F.Sport) * is 2/2 from the spot at 100%. Finances. Jimbokav1971
Ok. We have a bit of a problem. We've lost the Liga Finalización Final to Millonarios, (and I don't have a problem with that), but the game thinks we have lost the whole thing rather than just the Final, (and of course the game still doesn't give us any points for the Final), but it's saying that we've lost the whole league. The game thinks that because we lost the Liga Finalización Final, we haven't won the Liga Dimayor League. Despite the names being similar, we know this because it talks about the number of goals scored in the whole league campaign rather than just the 2nd Phase. I don't know where I go from here. It could well be that there is very little significance to the overall league table, (other than relegation), and the only issue here, (other than the points won in the Finals not being recorded correctly), is that the message is taking the info from the full league table rather than the Phase 2 league table, (and that's what I'm hoping for). Do we have anyone reading this with any knowledge of Colombian football in real life? Is the Overall League Table used for anything other than deciding which teams play in which Continental competition and who gets relegated?
