Guilty as charged, @BML Although, to be fair, Alf Erik Frajford kept his place despite the media calling for him to be dropped and Mats Lien Haug may have kept his place had he not been injured. But I did leave out Marcus Liabø, Havard Vestmoen and Rolf Jøran Stavang. Edited 15 hours ago by Stuniverse
Stuniverse
Preview - Romania (away) UEFA Nations League A Group 2 -- -- To be honest with you, I haven't decided yet how we're going to play but sitting back and defending for 90 minutes isn't how my teams play. It's always important to win and we'll be going to Bucharest in confident mood. -- Expected Line-up I think for this match against Romania we'll look to play a 4-1-2-3 system similar to what Norway played under Kjetil Knutsen. Stuniverse
Tuesday 30th September 2036 Romania v Norway UEFA Nations League A Group 2 -- -- -- I'm pleased with the work rate and commitment of all the players tonight, but Alf Erik Frafjord caused havoc down the right in the second half and helped us turn the game around. Well most of those games were with Kjetil Knutsen in charge but it's good for the players to taste victory again and hopefully there'll be more wins to come. It was a great finish by Sergiu Tabacaru and, sometimes, you have to put your hands up and say well done. But it had been coming. Romania hit the bar with a 12th minute header. And three minutes later Romania did take the lead through Sergiu Tabacaru's stunning goal. On 22 minutes, Andrei Şomfălean smashed the bar with a shot from just outside the penalty area. Romania had the better of the first half, no doubt about it. I made two substitutions and changed our shape during the break. We were much better in the second half. On 53 minutes, Alf Erik Frafjord made a great run down the right wing, crossed low into the penalty area, and Mads Fredrik Ruud Irgens equalised. Four minutes later, Alf Erik Frafjord and Dennis Gjengaar combined down the right, but Erling Haaland blasted his shot wide. On 68 minutes, Alf Erik Frafjord crossed the ball into the six-yard box and Erling Haaland's header was saved by Răzvan Sava from point-blank range. Benjamin Thoresen Faraas put Mads Fredrik Ruud Irgens clean through on 76 minutes but he dragged his shot wide. I was elated. It was a fantastic moment. I thought our overall play deserved it when Erling Haaland turned in Alf Erik Frafjord's low cross to give us the lead for the first time in the match on 83 minutes. There were a few nervy minutes late on but good defensive blocks and a couple of fine saves by Kim Christian Høyenhall allowed us to see the game out. -- Edited 13 hours ago by Stuniverse

Stuniverse
Preview - England (home) UEFA Nations League A Group 2 -- -- It's a tough Group, you only have to look at England, our next opponents, being bottom of the Group with two losses even though they are the newly crowned European Champions. A win would leave us well-placed at the halfway stage but England are no mugs, you don't win the European Championship unless you're a very good team. I'm still learning about this group of players but, with the exception of the two back-up goalkeepers, everybody else in the squad has now had playing time in one or both of the Spain and Romania matches, so I'm starting to build up an opinion of where the players will, or won't fit in my future plans. We'll go into the England match in confident mood and if the players put in the effort and work rate then, hopefully, we'll do well. -- Expected Line-up Edited 9 hours ago by Stuniverse
Stuniverse
Saturday 4th October 2036 Norway (2nd) v England (4th) UEFA Nations League A Group 2 -- -- Those kind of runs have to end sometime, so why not tonight? -- -- We're absolutely thrilled with this victory over England and we thoroughly deserved it. To be honest, not much happened in the first half as we cancelled each other out. During the break, I asked the inverted wingers to play as wingers in the second half. Two minutes into the second half, Alf Erik Frafjord hit a long cross to the far post where Andreas Schjelderup arrived on the corner of the six-yard box to volley the ball home. We doubled our lead on 56 minutes when Dennis Gjengaar finished off a lovely passing move. On 81 minutes, substitute Henrique Araújo scored our third, slotting home Dennis Gjengaar's low cross. Four minutes into added-on time, England scored a consolation goal after a scramble in our penalty area. -- Edited 8 hours ago by Stuniverse
