GCVS00
Hi all, I'm interested in emulating Tuchel's Bayern in FM, but I can't seem to find many posts about their tactics from this year. Can any Bayern fans or Bundesliga watchers help out?

TheJanitor
Didn't watch them play this season, but looking at their 3-1 win against Augsburg, it looks like they lined up in a 4-2-3-1 that turned into a box formation: https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2023/9/5/23858229/bayern-munich-bundesliga-match-tactical-analysis-midfield-box-coman-joshua-kimmich-goretzka-gnabry https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1743402/Live/Germany-Bundesliga-2023-2024-Bayern-Munich-Augsburg The box was created by the AML (Coman) and AMC (Gnabry), along with the DMs. The ST (Kane) dropped deep and the AMR (Sane) was the de-facto forward. Both fullbacks provided width. I am not a great expert so I don't have a full tactic, but I would start with these roles: GK: Goalkeeper (D) RB: Wing-Back (S) CDs: Central Defender / Ball Playing Defender (depending on your players - I don't think it is crucial but it seems like Bayern is playing with them) LB: Complete Wing-Back (S) RDM: Segundo Volante (S) LDM: Deep Lying Playmaker (D) AMR: Inside Forward (A) AMC: Attacking Midfielder (S) AML: Inverted Winger (S) + Sit Narrower ST: Deep Lying Forward (S) Some roles I am not sure about. Kane dropped very deep, but for balance sake, an attacking duty might be better. Also for the AMC - maybe an AP/s would be better. Also he seemed to roam a bit.
