Hello Everyone. I'm starting the Benfica Career, my first career in the Football Manager 2024 Series. The goal is of course to break the Guttmann Curse, but I plan to break it in a different way. I will stipulate that the entire squad that wins the Champions League (Including the First 11 and Reserves) must be players trained from the infrastructure. My age range for transfer will only be between 15-18 years old. Breaking the curse is easy, but I resorted to this method to add some fun. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Team Squad

Goalkeepers

image.png.c74e2af5983b071e0deaa766005ba7f0.png

We have too many goalkeepers. I will reduce the number to three and continue on my way.

Defenders

There are names among defenders that do not suit our Squad Quality. I think I will make the necessary decision about them and reduce them to a reasonable level.

Midfielders

Our wing and center players are at a high level, but some of them are getting older. I can focus the main strategy of the transfer on this region to create a more vibrant team.

Forwards

There is no need to discuss the quality of the names that will carry our goal load. It is certain that this will be the area that I will focus on least in transfer for now.

Now that we know the team, let's get started. For As Águias ;)

Hello again, I wanted to continue my career after the upcoming little update. I continued my career after the update that came yesterday. Now let's see what we did.

Let's Start with the Arriving Players First.

First of all, we made two main parts transfers in order to strengthen the A Team. (Dorgu and Weigandt). The Rest of Our Transfers Were Made in Line with the Transfer Target We Set. (Medina, Kerr Smith, Monticelli, Semih and Emre) All of our new players will be at a level suitable for the Under-Age category. I am also considering transfers suitable for the quality of the team without inflating the A Team for the first three seasons. Afterwards, when our infrastructure players start to arrive, I will not transfer to the first team and I am thinking of spending the league, cup and Champions League process with the players in our infrastructure.

In addition, there are transfers that we are still considering, and once we complete them, the squad will be in its final form.

We do not want to have any problems with the transfer by setting the share status we determined when sending the transfers to be sold to 50%, thereby improving our income and paying off our debts in a short time.We do not want to have any problems with the transfer by setting the share status we determined when sending the transfers to be sold to 50%, thereby improving our income and paying off our debts in a short time. As we enter the 4th season, we will make all transfers to the lower age category, so we will have a staff that will cover the expenses of the first team and we will benefit from the constant infrastructure.

We left our staff to the experts.

I set the game a little early and we played friendly matches at frequent intervals to find the rhythm. We were put to a good test in the last match. When we overcome our problems, we will be an unstoppable team, especially in the league.

This is how the 3rd Round Matches of the Allianz Cup went.

We are the biggest team in Portugal.

We tried to trap the opponent as much as possible. They took the lead. We reacted immediately. Then we were patient and with the assist of Joao Mario, the star of the match, Bah scored the goal and took the lead. Afterwards it was all a matter of patience. I wasn't nervous after the red card, but we managed to win the cup and started the season with the cup.

Greetings Again, Let's See What We Did After the First 8 Matches.

The season started well for us. In fact, I think it is also important for the players to increase the harmony of the team with each other before the difficult matches. Gaining the leadership with one match missing was the sweet spot for us.

It was another sweet moment when I was matched with Galatasaray, my country's champion, in Group E of the Champions League.

However, our beginning was a bit like medium candy.

Our last transfer was beyond the transfer target we set. I find it normal that such moves are made to strengthen the A Team.
