Desoute a month without a loss, It is not a great month. We dropped points against Motor and Zaglebie, games that we should have won. Despite this we have 6 point lead at the top of the table with 11 games left

Confident win against Gornik in the Cup and we are through to the Semis.

We managed to win second title in the row with massive 11 points gam above 2nd. However. Our points total is not that great. In other seasons we wouldn't have won it so easily. We have just been lucky that the competition have somewhat dropped pace.

POLISH SUPER CUP 2043 WINNERS !!! 

We win the Super Cup for the 3rd time and 2nd consecutive time.  It was expected as Wisla Plock played in the 2nd tier least season, The scorline however is much closer then the game actually was.

We improve in bookies eyes, this just proves that we are still punching higher then we should. 
we have 6 teams in Euorpe this seasn, and 3! in Champions League

This season we are joined by Cracovia after 2 years absence

Wisla Krakow also after 2 years of absence

Wisla Plock after 4 years of absence,

 

Season tickets are slowly moving forward, I am not too sure why we don't sell more as we have people on the waiting list apparently. 

 

Gornik Leczna is no longer top sponsored team ! Maybe they pulled the funding ?

 

Yes they pulled funding last year! in 6 years of pumping money they didn't even qualify to Europe.

Despite our recent success we are still pretty low on Wage spending.

We are the only team with 3.5 stars in the whole league, what makes us most reputable team in the country.

An OK start from us. I wish we had won or drawn the game against Lech, but we get 2 tough games out of the way early. 

 

Transfers 

This season I added top 5 leagues to the DB to see if it will slow down my game massively. Since then I had lot more interest in transfers. I felt like the transfer market was dead without any other leagues loaded. 

So yeah, we sold 31M worth of players. Some wanted to leave, some had 1 year left and some are making space to younger players. 

 

Dziubek wanted to leave and had contract running out. 

 

Lopatka stopped improving in recent years and had release clause which was met. 

 

Skrobosinski was mainly used as a DM for us as we are pretty stacked in defenders. 

 

Bak wanted to leave for a bit, We have plenty of other options at Striker position, so decided to cash in. we have 35% clause with him. 

 

Another Defender that we are letting go. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I decided to bring Kwiatkowski back to us from Juve. We paid peanuts for him, but I think he can still improve, its just he wasn't getting game time over there.

Almost perfect month for us, just a hiccup against Gornik. But really standout performances against Pogon and Legia. 
After first 2 months we are in 6th, 3 point behind the leader.

We take revenge on FC Kobenhaven for last year ! We are currently 2nd but got some tough games coming up. I hope that 9 points is enough to advance. 

Polish FA Cup

Narrow win against Wigry sends us to the next round. 

I mean these are the pairings for next round. If you notice 
Lech, Lechia, Slask, Rakow, Legia <- the teams that were in top 5 in Ekstraklasa over past few seasons are no longer in the competition.

Not the best month in the league, we have acquired 4 points out of 9 available. Although I can understand Slask result, We were not the best against Gornik Leczna. We dropped to 4th place with 3 points behind top, however Widzew still has a game in hand.

Absolute scenes in a Newcastle game. We took early lead, to then score a winner in extra time. That was pure FMing on our part as we were much worse team. Qualification is pretty much secured.

We played 4 games in space of 11 days and it backfired at us. Very poor performances in the league against top 2 teams. As it stands we drop out of contention. 

Going into the break we are in 5th place and we trail Widzew by 9 points and they also have game in hand,

Because we are almost guaranteed to advance I played rotated squad for this game. It was really close however we scored own goal in 94th minute to hand the victory over to Prague.

Comfortable win, we are through to QF where we will play Polonia Warszawa(3rd Tier)

We have dropped points against teams which are playing above expectations however I am still happy with other teams. W are trying to chase up, but other teams are being faultless. 

We are still 3rd and sitting 5 points behind 2nd and 6 points behind 3rd.

We lose after pens to Widzew and we exit the competition, but what a run it was winning 4 in the row !

S21 - Season review  

Ekstraklasa 

It was a tough season for us. I feel like we could have won the title, we scored massive 90 goals this season this is 24 more then the next team. However we have let in 47 which is far too many. 

We qualify for 3rd round of CL qualification , if manage to go in Poland will be represented by no less then 3! teams in League Phase. 

Gornik gets relegated for the 4th time this save after 3 year spell 

Wisla Plock and Wisla Krakow get relegated after a single season in Ektraklasa.

 

 UEFA Champions League

We pulled out some miracles this season to get us to round 16 of the competition. This is absolutely amazing result.

 

Polish FA Cup 

 After 4 wins in a row we finally get beaten by Widzew who are really strong team in Poland at the moment. 

We managed almost 5 years without losing  This will be tough to beat for any club.

S22 - Season Preview

Ekstraklasa

We are one if the title favourites this season. Hopefully we can improve on the last season. 

We are joined by Warta "Jo-Jo" Poznan who go back up again after 1 season of absence 

Puszcza joins us after long absence of 20 seasons. They were in top flight only in the first season in the save. 

Miedz Legnica joins us after 18 seasons absence. 

We have sold a lot more tickets then last season, however nowhere near the numbers we should be selling giving the waiting list.

 

We will play on the rented stadium which has 4000 more seats.

 

 

Our salaries are still about half way through the league and about a 3rd of teams on the top. 

 

 

Transfers

Few movements here, 
Czech is a player who never had a debut in First team and probably never would have as we are pretty stacked with strikers. 200K and 50% of next sale. 

 

I didn't really had any plans for Goszka, I feel that current strikers are much better, and 10M is decent money with 50% next sale. 

 

Decided to let Jez go, he only jumped on last season BUT I want to give some time to younger prospects.

Not bad start to the league even with dropped points against Pogon, but we played our second team in that match. Lech also has a good start but Widzew drops points straight away.

We start off in 3rd Quali round and will be playing against AC Horsens.

Nothing realy happened except some loans. But we are getting tons of offers for our players, unsettling our squad.

As this is my first such a long save with one team. I was sort of interested where we stand in Ekstraklasa within its all seasons. 
I think it would be a good addition to measuring success especially with the players that play long one season saves. 

I have created a feature suggestion to SI to create this 

However without waiting I wanted to see how we fare so far, so I managed to mimic this in Excel, including seasons already played 

So, from nowhere we managed to climb up to 18th place in All-Time Ekstraklasa Table. Rakow is probably another club that made biggest progress as I think they have only played about 5 seasons in top flight. 
I will consider adding the number of seasons each team spent in Ekstraklasa in the future. 
I will also be adding this as part of End of Season Review

We are on fire smashing teams for fun. 23 goals scored in 4 games and only once conceded ! This is absolutely crazy. Top 3 teams in the league are trying to break out early pulling 6 point gap above 4th. 

 

UEFA Champions League

We easily go past AC Horsens and then thanks to great home dipslay against Ajax, we qualify to UCL League Phase. As normal, some tough fixtures here, but I strongly hope that we can advance out of league phase again. 

 

Transfers Out

The time has come to sell our club legend. I did want to keep him as fringe player but he didn't want to stay. Anyway 3.7M is decent cash,.

What a month for us ! 3 games against difficult teams, 9 points, 11 goals scored and only 1 conceded. This is just phenomenal. We are loving life in the league, however Lech have won 10/10 and we still sit 2 points behind.

Another difficult month in terms of opposition and another really good one in terms of results. Lech didn't hold their pace and lost the game to Jagiellonia and then to us, We are sole leaders now with 4 points gap to 2nd.

Really good win against Brugge, We have great chance of qualifying further, as does Lech.

Forum was unavailable when I tried to make a November update so I played through December as well.

We have our first loss this season. and it came against KGHM Zaglebie in 96th minute.  We bounced back against Gornik Leczna but then again draw against Piast. Overall 10 points out of 15 available is not the worst as we manage to keep the top spot with 3 points above Lech. This is really 2 horse race for the title as we have 14 point gap above 3rd place shocking Zaglebie Sosnowiec. 
Widzew Pogon and Rakow are massively underperforming this season as well, as they are all bottom half of the table only 4 points above relegation places. 

 

UEFA Champions League

Loss to Bayern was expected, I thought that we could salvage more against Slavia as we were the better team, but we sit on 11 points and I think it will be enough to qualify further. 

 

Polish FA Cup

We beat really strong Lech team to advance to QF where we will play Stal Rzeszow(3rd tier)

We pull a shocker at home and managed to bead Real Madrid with a goal in 1st minute o the game ! To then get spanked by Chelsea away. We qualify to playoffs as with Lech, who beat Atletico Madrid in last leg to jump up to 24th. They will play Atletico again in playoff round and we will face Spurs.
