FM2023 - CL Draw - is it seeded?

My fixtures as Borussia Dortmund (12th in the co-efficent table) are

 

Chelsea (26)

Athletico Madrid (9)

Real Madrid (8)

Barcelona (17)

Benfica (18)

RB Salzburg (44)

Club Brugge (41)

Celtic (55)

I was wondering if the draw is totally random, or if its seeded. Drawing 3 of the best Spanish teams was a bummer

It should be, yes. It's supposed to be drawn into 4 pots and you play 2 teams from each pot. Your coefficient doesn't really matter though since you'd still play 2 teams from whichever pot you're in.

So I'd guess:
Pot 1: Atletico & Real
Pot 2: Barcelona & Benfica
Pot 3: Chelsea & Brugge
Pot 4: RB Salzburg & Celtic

With a 36 team league phase and 4 pots, that should be 9 teams per pot, so Pot 1 would be 1st-9th, Pot 2 10th-18th (both of which match up to what you drew), then looks like later ones are missing teams that failed to qualify in ranks in between, hence ending up in the 40s/50s.
