Scrolling down itself Fm24 PS5

I’m not sure if this is just a me problem or its a bug within the game and its actually quite hard to explain but i’ll do my best. Basically whenever i’m on a menu that has a scroll down option, the game just decides to scroll down itself without me pressing a single button and it makes the game extremely annoying because i’m having to consistently scroll back up 24/7. My controller works fine so that’s not the problem. I have al ready switched mode by pressing L3 but is not so effective.

We have seen a few players report this but have been unable to reproduce this internally so far.

Does this only happen within certain menus and is it happening every time or just randomly?

Have you also changed any of the accessibility settings on the game?

I had this too.i pushed the right stick up a bit and it stopped as that's the one that scrolls down. Just a kind of flick of the stick it sorted mine anyway

Have you guys been able to fix this bug yet? It's extremely annoying and it has stopped me from playing the game.

I'm playing on Xbox Series X and have also started experiencing this issue after installing the latest update.

The issue persists even after clearing the cache and reinstalling the game.

I'm on the ps5 mate and yep same thing , I've tried everything I can think off , even deleting my saves sadly.

Bro its happening every time every where in menus in options etc do something its unplayable

We are still looking at this. To confirm that we have been able to replicate this but cannot locate the root cause as it's not happening continually.

Thanks Dan. I posted about this issue recently on the forums.  So far using a USB and/or the on screen pointer is a way round this bug, but obviously isn't ideal.  It's seriously made me doubt getting any console versions of FM25 at this point.

The problem is that the modern game pads suffer from something called stick drift. This means that the controller is inputting movement to the game's engine even when the stick is not being moved by the user. I honestly think there is nothing that SI can do to fix this.

One possible solution is to allow the user to change the menu navigation to the D-PAD rather than the sticks and disable input from the sticks. I think games like FM will suffer more from this as in most games the player is continually using the sticks.

There's an easy way round this, add deadzones in the settings, only way to cure this problem

Just started playing FM24 on PS5 this week. I find it much better plugging mouse into the console to play the game. No such issues and easier to navigate in general imo.
