[Suggestion] New Duties for Trequartista and False Nine Roles

Support duty for Trequartista role

With only attack duty available, current interpretation of Trequartista role might be actually closer to a 'Fantasista' than a classic Trequartista. With a support duty the old school Trequartista will mostly stay on his favourite 'trequarti' position (that's literally 'three quarters of the field', hence the name of the role in italian) using his skills and creativity to unsettle defence with first time killer balls and smart passes, mostly looking to create chances for others rather than for himself. Contrary to Enganche the Trequartista/support won't look to play with his back to the goal or hold up ball against defenders as he'd often lack strength and rely instead on his agility and higher football IQ.

Side suggestion: short name of Trequartista sould be TQ instead of T. This would maybe underline the key 'three quarters' aspect of the role.

 

Attack duty for False Nine

I would really like to have an attack duty for the False Nine role. With a support duty the F9 should mostly work as playmaking forward, creating space and chances for midfielders and especially inside forwards that would become main goalscoring threats of the team. With an Attack duty the F9 will still drop deep into AM strata looking to dribble and play key passes, but will also start one-twos, sprint forward, make runs behind the defensive line, beat the offside trap and make himsfelf available for killer balls. To me the Messi role in the Barcelona/Pep days would be closer to a F9/attack interpretation. A False Nine on support isn't meant to be main scoring threat of a team imo.

Absolutely, the F9 should have been with an Attack Duty from the beginning, The only F9 with Support Duty I can remember in World Football was Fabregas for Spain.
