tikitakamaster
MOURINHO’S ROMA 2023-2024 TACTIC ANALYSIS The 2023/2024 Roma coached by Mourinho (in his third year at the helm of the Giallorossi) is coming off a very inconsistent season, especially marked by the controversial defeat in the Europa League final. The team starts the season with some changes in transfers and sales (the most sensational being Lukaku's arrival on loan to join the Portuguese coach). The new signings are not yet physically ready, and the team seems to still be mentally in Budapest. Roma is currently playing with a 3-5-2 formation, adapting to the characteristics of the players available to the coach. Tactical analysis and match analysis of Mourinho's 2023/2024 Roma with football tactics, model and game principles, formations and systems, lineup and odds predictions for betting, player reports for scouts and observers, match analyst role, enrollment for match analyst courses, and how aiapc assoanalysts play in possession or offensive phase. In defense, the center-back (Smalling) sets the pace, and the full-backs (Mancini and Llorente Rìos) are very fast and skilled in attacking on the flank. The team's defensive solidity, once a strong point under Mourinho, currently seems like a distant memory. In midfield (Zalewski, Aouar, Paredes, Cristante, Çelik), the 5 players positioned in a staggered manner are crucial to ensure width on the flank and create numerical superiority in attack. The two wide central midfielders (Çelik and Zalewski) focus on providing defensive coverage. In attack, the duo (Belotti, El Shaarawy) are the main protagonists of the team's offensive play. Overall, the team is not in good shape and is going through a rough patch, earning only 1 point in 3 matches. It shows a certain defensive vulnerability (having conceded 6 goals in the first 3 matches) and seems to have lost the defensive solidity of the previous season. The forward line is currently out of form and needs to find consistency. Waiting for new additions, it remains disjointed from the rest of the team. In general, the team appears too passive against the opponent's initiative. Regardless of individual results, the group seems lethargic and lacking motivation. In the defensive phase, the team switches from a 3-5-2 to a 5-3-2. The 3 defenders (Llorente Rìos, Smalling, and Mancini) are joined by the 2 wide midfielders (Çelik and Zalewski), dropping from the midfield. The central midfielders reduce from 5 to 3 (Aouar, Paredes, Cristante), while the two forwards remain around the midfield line, acting as the first defensive line. The two outermost players on one side (Zalewski and Aouar) or the other (Çelik and Cristante) engage in strong pressing, trying to disrupt the opponent's play. Tactical analysis and match analysis of Mourinho's 2023/2024 Roma with football tactics, model and game principles, formations and systems, lineup and odds predictions for betting, player reports for scouts and observers, match analyst role, enrollment for match analyst courses, match analysis course, and how aiapc assoanalysts play in possession or offensive phase in construction and development. In the offensive phase, the team switches from a 3-5-2 to a 3-2-5, with the two wide midfielders (Çelik and Zalewski) joining the two forwards. They play all over the field along their respective flanks, reinforcing the defensive line in non-possession and bolstering the attack in possession. POSSESSION PHASE In recent matches, Roma's play has been somewhat sterile and highly passive, often at the mercy of opponents. This does not mean they give up playing, but phases of non-possession and rapid counterattacks following positive transitions are more frequent than possession and construction phases. Typical constructions of Roma include: Low build-up, lateral movement, and triangulation: One of Roma's strategies in the build-up is to construct the game from the back, utilizing the wingers on the flank (Çelik and Zalewski), who widen to receive the ball from the defenders. When the ball is at the midfield line, the two forwards drop back and seek triangles with the central midfielders (Cristante and Aouar), then free themselves and wait for a pass on the edge of the box before running with the ball towards the goal. The forwards often descend and triangulate in the midfield build-up, allowing the two wingers to move up and attack the spaces left by opponents to regain the ball in midfield. Direct construction and preventive clearances: Following positive transitions, when the opposing team is stretched, and Roma is pressed into their own half, the defense, or directly the goalkeeper, attempts long passes to bypass multiple lines of the opposing defense, directly seeking the forwards who remain high for preventive clearance in non-possession. NON-POSSESSION PHASE 1st Pressing: In the non-possession phase, Roma implements an initial pressing with the goal of regaining possession. Depending on the ball's height and the field position, the individual player presses aggressively on the ball carrier, attempting to recover the ball and closing off any outlets. Depending on the zone, it can be observed that all team players participate in pressing, with the nearest player pressing strongly on the opponent to regain possession as quickly as possible. Midfield Analysis: The midfield line forms a flat and unstaggered line; the formation in the non-possession phase is a 5-3-2, and the 3 midfielders remain in line, trying to cover spaces. Defensive Line Analysis: The 3 defenders are joined by the 2 wingers to form a defensive line composed of 5 players. The two wingers are the first players to press, while the defenders stay back in line. Therefore, there are two coverage lines, one given by the player pressing and the second outlined by the players remaining to cover. TRANSITION PHASE Offensive: When the team regains possession, it employs different constructions depending on the field zone where possession is recovered. If ball recovery occurs in the defensive third, the Giallorossi will attempt a direct construction and then verticalization towards the forwards remaining in a counter-phase (preventive clearance). If the ball is recovered in the offensive third, they will attempt quick attacks and triangulations with the wingers and then verticalization towards the forward who has performed preventive clearance. Defensive: As soon as possession is lost, the team tends to reorganize quickly to avoid immediate counterattacks by the opponent. In the non-possession phase, the formation becomes a 5-3-2, the two wingers, positioned in line with the three defenders, are the first players to press aggressively, while the three defenders remain in line for preventive marking. Immediately after losing possession, the team seeks to regain possession. Strengths: Despite the unconvincing play, the team always stays in the game and manages to exploit spaces or opponents' mistakes. Individual players have quality, although they are currently not in top condition. Weaknesses: Vulnerable to fast play and triangulations. Several key players are injured. Man-marking favors open spaces to exploit. Players are not in good form and lack conviction in interventions to regain possession. Substitutes or new acquisitions are still inexperienced. He doesn't work and enjoy himself in the richest clubs in the world like the others.

Black Africa
Mourinho is still great, but players this days are weak, money grabbing mercenaries. Hes Porto, Chelsea or inter was teams of great hardworking characters, best football i witnessed.
