mikado64
Which staff members' scouting knowledge impact the scouting range? Only the Chief Scout's? Or Chief Scout and DoF (as suggested by their grouping under "Recruitment" in the staff search filter)? Or a combination of all staff members' scouting knowledge? Related question: does the scouting knowledge of the HoYD or of further staff members affect the Youth Intake? For instance, would it be disadvantageous (in view of youth intake) to have for an Italian side a French HoYD with only scouting knowledge in France? Or is it not a problem eg if other staff members (eg Chief Scout) have scouting knowledge in Italy?
Jose Loser
Scouting range is set by your club`s board and does not depend on your scouting staff. It`s more or less tied with club stature, bigger clubs have bigger scouting range. I`ve understod that HoYD uses scouting knowledge as base of the ”pool of youth” intake is taken from. In your case having an French HoYD in an Italian club, would increase the possibility of getting a French youth in your club. HoYD also tends to find youths close to his own personality, so it`s beneficial to have a HoYD with professional, determined etc. personality.
Dan Sheppard
Just to clear this discussion up, while Scouting Knowledge can be seen in Touch, it doesn't have any impact.
