Harry Kane as a Trequartista

Hello Everyone

What do you think about utilising Harry Kane as a trequartista?

If he plays as a trequartista, will his goals output suffer much?

In an out and out forward role, his lack of pace annoys me, ive played him quite a bit as a poacher to use his off the ball movement but hes got more to his game than that.

Id like to use him as a number 10.

It depends on your tactics if he can perform well as a Trequartista.

Would it make sense to add a hitch to your car? For sure if you're driving a Ford F 150 and have to tow stuff on a regular basis. But a hitch on a Isetta? Not very functional but at least a hitch would look like funny.

If you want to use a Treq, Harry Kane has the attributes to pull off the role. Will it get the best out of Kane? Probably not.

Usually I'd recommend building your tactic around your best players ability, for Kane that's likely a DLF(a). That's a role that works around his limitation of pace. Importantly he's got the ability to hold up the ball, playmake + also score goals himself.

If you're worried about his lack of pace, you could play him 1. In a striker pairing 2. W/quick wide players.
