Yep true looking at pele's screenie in 2015 shows that his pace never goes higher than 13, the deal has been done!! SPain have a game in Feb so hopefully don't have to wait too long for the £40m.

Was thinking of signing Huntelaar myself as well, so that my wingers have got a better target to aim for, Rooney + Tevez just can't get on the end of the crosses.

So what does everybody think of him? Good buy? or are there better strikers who are decent in the air?

Ive bought Huntelaar in a few of my United saves. He have been good on all of them, and as you pointed out he gives united a option in the air which we dont have at presence.

Ive found out though that in some saves he takes some games to settle in so you proberly shouldnt expect a immediate van nistelrooy clone but given time he can be the new RvN

Yeah think i'm going to sign him then, will probably need to sell a few players to get the cash, already spent a bit on youngsters.

Just signed Stancu as a back up striker for £1m, just bagged himself 4 goals in a friendly against Antwerp.

Has anyone used Marcelo before? is he better as ML than DL because hes not got very good tackling and positioning.

easy enough choice liverpoo are sh!ite.

First you don't really need anyone maybe get some of the well known youths, and get rid off dead wood like SIlvestre and Saha. But you will need a new gk by the 2nd season Foster and Kuzscak aren't upto it.

I didn't play them together apart from the odd game has I play with a lone striker supported by 2 AMC's. Tevez was hit and miss for me so sold him end of 2nd season and got Aguero to replave him. Quite a few people are having problems getting Tevez to perform. Tevez played has a striker in cup games and against weak teams.

Ye i bought him, but that was a purely financial purchase since you can sell him for 25m+ after 1 season if you give him a fair amount of games. so often do this and earn 20 odd millions in profit from him. back to the question i used him as a very attacking full back but as you pointed out defending aint his strong side

I'll give it a go, they are abit short on cash actually they blew £37m on Toualan who's been awful lol, i'll give it a go, Cheers!!!

Well, apart from paying WELL over the odds for Zarate (can get foraround £3.5mil). If you're on the 8.0.1 patch get Torje. And either patch buy Saivet! But overall decent youth brought in.

Guys,

I need your advice, just getting towards the end of y first season and I am still in with a shout for the league, Cl and FA Cup. That aside, I have bought J Moutino (spelling!) from Sporting as (hopefully) a replacement for Scholes who seems to have deteriorated quiet quickly this year, I'm not sure what budget I have for next season but guessing it won't be much so wanted your opinions on what to do. I feel I need to replace or improve in the following positions: GK, RB, AML, FC could also do with a back-up for Ronaldo on the right but not vital at the moment. So who should I buy and who should I sell?

Just finished my fith season.

Won Community Shield and league cup.

Top of the league for most of the season only to fall at the final hurdle.

finished second 3 points behind chelsea.

Lost in FA Cup final 1-0 to man city. AARRRRRRHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Joey barton in the 92nd minute. Nothing i could do after that but hold back the tears icon_frown.gif

Then came Real Madrid in champs league final. they dominated for most of the game even though we led 1-0 for the most part of it.then came their equalizer. stayed like that untill extra time. They took the lead on 96mins . i was gutted because we look like we where just hanging on and their was no way back.

However Man Utd being MAN UTD it was far from over .We started to play some football and sure enough the equalizer came.(Got to love ROONEY).

So came the penalty shoot out. 9 pens taken each, 5 missed,13 scored.

7-6 to madrid.

All in all it was a good season.

Prem League:2ND

FA Cup: Runner-Up (0-1 Man City)

League Cup: WINNER (4-1 Arsenal)

Champs League: Runner-Up (6-7p R.Madrid)

Community Shield: WINNER (1-0 Newcastle)

Top Scorer:Rooney Apps:30(4) Gls:34

Top Assist:Luis Jimenez Apps:39(2) Ass:33

DR: Alves/O'Shea

DL: Evra/Kolarov

DC: Vidic/Ferdinand/Pique/Evans

MC: Veloso/Zapater/Carrick (feel i may need someone else?)

AMC: Ronaldo/Anderson/Tevez/Rooney/Nani

FC: Benzema (just signed)/Soldado.

I play in 4-2-3-1 so can use Rooney Tevez up front... and mix around in parts... i know i need depth, can anyone help ?

got around £76m to do the job.

if you're on the original patch I'm practically begging you to buy Iago. Just starting my 3rd season, he's 19, just won young player of the year award, finished the season with 15 goals, he's absolutely quality.

no idea, I've just downloaded that patch and am waiting for some advice on how/where to install it. I'm pretty sure he should be, on the first month after he was bought my board confidence update told me my main problem was how the fans thought of him as a bad signing, end of the season, he's the bees knees. I only spent 9mill to get him too, so if money isn't an issue I'd seriously suggest giving him a try

Iago is good on the new patch, I am currently trying to get him on a bosman end of 3rd season but aint interested at the moment. Gai Assulin is another who turns out well.

Matt - I would sell Soldado not good enough imo, if your after a player you can play anywhere try Ben Arfa.

coming up to jan in my 1st season (no crashes so far) bit shocked that my tactic isn't as good as my last long saved game. the main problem is Rooney and Tevez, they have so many good chances but never put them away. time yet i'm not one to make rash changes
