SpillBlood
Season 6 - 2028/2029 Season Compared to previous seasons, I haven't made many changes. Critchley left his job with us as U21 manager again so I brought in Darren Moore to replace. A few in and outs. Still looking at bringing in some youth players. Not much has changed this season. I feel bad as i've listed Tietz even though his record his great for us and van Hooijdonk is playing his football in Italty on loan this season. The squad currently: It's a big squad compared to previous seasons. Tietz is listed to go out on loan or for money, Pitchford is new here but will be going to Belgium to play for Genk for a season. Also in: Also out: Gamal, Juliao and Becerra wanted new contracts so alot of wage has gone there. McAtee had already been replaced by my January singing Boxall and I'm looking at bringing in a youth player to replace Berge. My starting midfield is DM - Gamal, CMs - Gray and Miley Backup DM - Watson - CMs Boxall and Juliao I have CBs that can fill in at DM so Watson if need can fill in at CM. Samson was never going to make it here, he's all pace and that's not our game so I brought in Pitchford to replace. Flores and Hojlund replace Tietz and van Hooijdonk. Hojlund has always played well against me, I noticed Utd were happy to let him go so I thought I'd give him a try. Lopez, Gyokeres and Hojlund is a very solid attacking line, especially with new signing Flores pushing, and Chida still needing to play, I did want him homegrown but I might loan him out. I would have loved to have sold Ekdal and replaced with a better CB but no one wants Ekdal and without him leaving, I can't replace. The new players: Pitchford has potential, he played well on his 6 month league one spell at Plymouth but Sheff Utd had been relegated and his min fee was still active so I activated it and I'm going to let him play abroad for a season. I will train Flores into a Pressing Forward! I just think he looks very very good and still has potential and he's only 18! Hojlund is the type of striker that I want here and hoping he can make an impact. I'm still looking at youth to bring in. There's an amazing English DM at Sunderland but at 17 he doesn't want to move, the 17 year old Stoke striker still doesn't want to move. Birmingham have a 16 year old Welsh keeper that is capped already, fully capped. Right now I'm looking at a MC from Denmark and a young French CB from the English lower leagues. Problem with the CB for me is that I'd of liked to buy him and make it trained at club but at 18 and already 40+ games in league one, he needs to be out playing. It's the same with bringing in Tipple, my scouts love him. I just feel can he really improve enough? I know he's only 17 but he'd need to improve ALOT. Our backroom staff for a club our size is brilliant, I didn't need to make changes this season at all. I have one space still to bring in a better coach, I'd still like to bring in who's higher than 4* in either Defending - Tech, Possession - Tech or Attacking - Tact. It's just not that easy . Maybe a better Handling GK coach. Turns out I have space for a Physio, I'll get on that one! Hold on a second, I missed out the announcement I can have 6 more scouts and another recruitment analyst . Our reputation in the world has improved atleast. Being around the same level as clubs such as Ajax, Sevilla and Roma shows how far we've come. And we're bringing in more money. Shame it's not until 2032 I can ask for a new stadium and tbh, I'd like to bring in more success so they name it after me . Season Start Hopefully we can get revenge on Chelsea for the FA Cup final but it's a tough start away at Leicester. SpillBlood
Community Shield Can we get revenge on Chelsea and make it 2 in a row for us? I'm playing my first 11 . Wahi and new signing Kjaergaard (who looks fantastic and I really wanted but I can't compete, 71mil signing + 195k wages) are on the bech. Badiashile is injured, so is Chillwell. Kimmich starts. Be a tough tough game, we can win. I believe. First half. Chelea kick off. 1st minute: Bad pass from Chelsea and Holm steals, he drives into the box but Kimmich gets the better of him. 11th minute: Becerra throws in and we're Kossounou goes on a brilliant solo run! He passes to Gray, into Gyokeres and he's fouled? Is he? Is that a penalty or a good tackle? It's a good tackle, no pen! 14th minute: Chelsea throw in, James goes for a long shot and is blocked. 16th minute: Holm has the ball out wide. Gamal, back, back to pamal, Miley, out to Becerra, he hits it in low and Lopez on his left belts it in. He's onside and it's 1 - 0 to Rotherham! 24th minute: Chelsea free kick, they pass it but Holmn steals again. Gamal, back to the defense, we're passing, back to Kovar, to Greaves, Becerra, Gamal, Holm, to Gyokeres but it's shot well over. 42nd minute: James throws in, it's crossed in and we head out. Kimmich collects, dribbles and shoots but that's a great save by Kovar. Chelsea with the corner, Kimmich takes and we head out but not far, James collects, back to Hincapie who shoots but it's wide of the post. Half time. 1 chance, 1 goal. Second half. We kick off. 47th minute: Holm throws to Gray to Gamal, brilliant ball to Holm, he takes on his man, shoots low, it's off the post and in! 2 - 0 to Rotherham! 2 shots on target, 2 goals! 51st minute: James throws in, Fofana has it, Chelsea are passing round and Miley tackles, with Gray, Gamal, James steals, Nkunku to Ferguson who is offside. 58th minute: Miley swings in the corner, Lopez heads over. 66th minute: Kovar out to Graves, Becerra back to Greaves, back to Kovar, to Schuurs, Kossounou, Holm, Schuurs, we're just keeping the ball. Kovar with a terrible kick but we block Fergusons shot for a corner. Poor by Kovar. Kimmich hits in and Kovar saves. 69th minute: Holm with the throw in and Gray shoots wide. 72nd minute: Becerra steals, Schuurs has it, to Gamal, back again around the defense. Up to Gray who shoots over. 73rd minute and I'm bringing Boxall on for Miley, Juliao on for Gray and Hojlund on for Gyokeres. 73rd minute: Before the subs take place Chelsea are passing quick with the ball, it's played to Nkuku and Schuurs does enough to force his shot wide. Chelsea have brought on Kjaegaard for a midfielder. Nkunku is playing behind Kjaegaard and Ferguson, will it make a difference? 10 minutes to go and I'm bringing on Brown, Watson and van den Berg to replace Holm, Becerra and Gamal as they're all tired. 82nd minute: Chelsea kick out and pass round the back, we steal it but get muddled, Hojlund shoots but it's over. 85th minute: Chelsea corner, it's headed up but Hojlund heads out. Kimmich has, there's a long shot but Kovar has Wahi infront of him who is offside. 87th minute: Brown throws in, it's back to him, Boxall dribbles in the box, shoots but it's blocked. Boxall takes the corner but it's headed out to Juliao, back over to Schuurs who's poor pass is blocked out, he manages to take the ball back and keep posession. 89th minute: Freekick down the right, Brown takes, to Boxall who passes in and Lopez hits in! Great set-piece! They call offside but it's award, 3 - 0! 3 shots on target, 3 goals! 90th minute: Great passing from Chelsea and Vagnoman cuts in, Schuurs blocks for a corner. Kimmich takes and Brown heads out and Lopez clears. Chelsea have it, Disasi sets himself up and shoots wide. 94th minute: Kimmich hits in the freekick but Van den Berg heads out. Kossounou wins the loose ball and hits up. It's full time! We have our revenge and that's two in a row! Brilliant at the back and clinical going forward!
SpillBlood
August Tough games, we got a bit lucky but we held on for a great start to the season. Leicester are such a good team and it was through a great strike from Dewsbury-Hall in the 62nd minute to give them the lead. Hojlund came off the bench and bagged his first Rotherham goal with a good quick attack, Kovar kicked out, Gyokeres flicked it on with his head, Miley collected, played Hojlund through and we equalised after 70 minutes. We won a pen in the 75th which Gyokeres put away for the 3 points! We battered Palace in the first half, Gray brace, both set up by Hojlund and then he got himself on the scoresheet. Easy 3 - 0 at half time but then we just didn't do enough in the 2nd half. Palace had 4 shots, 2 on target, 2 goals. A ball over by Atum saw Kovar beat, he managed to stop the first shot on his shin and Alfie Devine has hit it the follow up, it's deflected, hit the bar and gone into the open net after 48 minutesand I'm thinking, what's going on. We didn't create good enough chances and Palace out of nothing, some good passing, Prutsev drove through and scored in the 92nd minute. Amazing first half, poor second. We robbed Villa. Schuurs' shot deflected for us to take the lead through an OG and we just had to defend, they had chances, we blocked. They were really good and we got incredibly lucky. They had 2.32xG vs our 0.93. Holm gave us the lead after Man Utd, heading home Lopez's corner after 28 minutes. Some good football saw Mason Mount equalise after 69 minutes. We were very even, Man Utd had most of the possession but we defended well and had more chances to score. Watson had a huge chance when Onana went down but he hit is volley wide. Better late than never, Watson long throw to new CB Bitshiabu, he's played it to new CM Boxall who hit low to give us the lead! Utd tried but we held on. Great start to the season! Some of the new players have made instant impacts. We're not top so I feel I robbed Ancelotti . Carabao Cup We rotated, they played their first 11 so that was a good win. We're away but we should beat Sunderland. Champions League Draw That's... difficult. Facilities 2/3 ain't bad, it isn't like we don't have the money to improve the youth facilities sat in the bank.... Income I have to wait until 2032 for a potential new stadium. We're at max capacity. We're growing in size. But we're also spending alot more on wages . Deadline Day This was before City spent another 80mil and Utd another 40mil . I could not turn down an 31mil bid for Ekdal, he is not worth that at all. Tietz found a loan, Genk couldn't actually afford to loan Pitchford so he went elsewhere. I brought in a new starting CB and 3 youth players. Gnahore has come through Shrewsburys youth, one for the future. Bitshiabu is an absolute tank of a CB that could still improve, he's going to be starting with Greaves and Kossounou. I'm training Sostik as a DM BWM-S, one for the future, another one who lacks jumping reach but he is either footed. I'm training Petersen as a CM Mezzala-A, he has some good stats for it, shame about his determination but his work rate and teamwork are decent for an 18 year old. I'll try putting him in a mentoring group with Gyokeres and see if it helps him. Next Month My word that is a very difficult month. The month after is no better either, I suppose at this level there isn't really any easy month. Let's do this Millers! SpillBlood
September Solid month. Away at Arsenal who were the better side most the game, Saka set up Jesus in the 26th minute for them to finally go ahead. We managed to keep them at bay and some great passing saw Miley play in Gray who was onside to make it 1 - 1. In the 85th minute Varela who'd come on as a sub saw red for Arsenal but they held on. Chelsea have so many quality players but we were at home. We gave them all the possession but we were just quality. Holm set up Gyokeres after 12 minutes, we doubled as Kossounou headed in Bitshiabus flick on following a corner after 19 minutes and Gray scored our third just after half time with a quality finish from outside the box. Vellidis(an English youth striker who is one of Englands main strikers at the age of 20) pulled one back after a fortunate deflection found him but it was a great fiunish. We deserved out win. Liverpool had the better changes but Miley scored a brilliant finish after 58 minutes to put us ahead. A mistake from Juliao saw Liverpool break and scored a great finish themselves from Karpukas. Away draw, happy with that. 2nd on GD, nice. Champions League I'd rotated but look at our xG! I can't believe it took so long for us to score. So many chances! I I played pretty much my starting 11, they had possession, we had the chances and if wasn't for Oblak it could have been double figures, we were brilliant! You can see from this why I like my tall strong players, 4 headed goals . Next Month Hopefully we can keep our form going as that's another tough month.
SpillBlood
October There were 20 odd days between the Liverpool and Forest game and my players were only on international break for about half of it so I through a friendly in. We were brilliant in the first half against Forest. Holjund set up Miley after 4 minutes, Miley then set up Hojlund twice and then Gyokeres set up Hojlund for his hat-trick. They didn't have any chances first half, second half it'd like we'd taken the foot of the gas and let them play some football. Shame, would have liked to see us better them more. We were superb against City, even game but we were clinical, my defense played well and it was just brilliant. Gray set up Miley after 9 minutes and Miley set up Gyokeres after 14, game over. We were so poor in the first half against Spurs, didn't have a shot on target at home in the first half!!! Pape Matar Sarr just dribbled through our midfield and defense and hit it in after 6 minutes, I can't believe how easy he made it look. Pedrola doubled after 29 minutes after the ball landed to him in the box, he had time to turn and hit it and I was just watching going "Someone close him down, get a foot in". After 50 minutes I made all 5 subs and we were much better, Bitshibau headed in Lopez's corner after 64 minutes and I thought Lopez had equalised after 67 minutes but he was offside, Spurs took home all 3 points. And our team record was broke straight after that announcement . We're still top though! Carabao Cup I put a strong enough side out to win that but I had to make subs and bring on my better players to make a difference. Good draw for us, especially being at home. Champions League I'd rotated due to the City but we didn't play well enough, xG says we maybe should we won but it was probably the correct score. I played my first team, well pretty much, look at the xG difference, how didn't we win . Their goal was very frustrating, straight from kick off, down the left, in the box, Kane scores. It was like we hadn't come back out on the pitch! Next Month Feel like the Parthenope(Napoli?) game is a big one, but after that we have Young Boys, Dinamo and Anderlecht who I feel we should be able to beat all 3 and we can't let our league form slip. It looks like a good month on paper but we'll see. Oh I also need a new assistant manager, after working with Luis Nascimento for years and offering him a new contract every time a club came him to be manager. Preston paid £2.9mil for his services to be manager. I do have an assistant coming in that can't speak a word of queens, isn't the best member at being a coach but is a model citizen who's formation and coaching styles fit more to the club than anyone else I can find and fit better than Nascimento's did. Nascimento was just a much better coach. Edited January 28 by SpillBlood
SpillBlood
So they want to have a strong and successful youth set up. But would rather I signed players for the first team and not increase our youth facilities but they'll improve recruitment and my youth level. WHAT MAKE SENSE
SpillBlood
November Brilliant in the league. With a heavily rotated team so my key players were fresh for Parthenope game, we still battered Fulham. Hojlund ahead through Boxall's ball after 20 minutes, Boxall doubled after 69 and Gamal made it 3 after 70. Easy. Another game we were brilliant and I'd rotated back again after the Napoli game as we had tired players. Boxall gave us the lead, Flores doubled from the spot and got a brace after 79 minutes. Flores is becoming an interesting player, he can score a goal. Bournemouth were good and we had to work hard to equalise. We took the lead after just 2 minutes through Hojlund but Broja equalised after 4 and Lewis Cook put Bournemouth ahead after 28 and Bournemouth controlled the rest of the first half. We came out the in the second half looking much better but Bournemouth were stubborn. In the 89th minute Lopez finally equalised so we took home a point, in the end it was deserved. Gyokeres really is in bad form so Flores and Lopez started against Sheff Utd and got a goal each. Sheff Utd didn't have a chance all game, in reality we really should have scored more, they're bottom for a reason. And we're top for a reason A few awards, Flores getting both young player and player of the month! All 3 young player of the month winners are Rotherham players . Champions League They took the early lead, we had chances to equalise but the 3 points went to "Parthenope". FA Cup Draw Boring draw but we have the home advantage atleast. Next Month Alot of games but this is where we seem to do well if we look at past seasons, December and January seem to be where we pick up the Premiership winning points. Can we do it again? When it comes to the Champions League, we really need 3 points against Young Boys. Edited February 1 by SpillBlood
SpillBlood
December Not sure what it is about December but we love these winter months. Newcastle were 15th and were without a manager but they were solid. This included a goal line clearence to deny us going ahead. We managed to finally score as Gyokeres hit in a poachers effort from Mileys pass after 50 minutes. Archie Gray really should have doubled for us but Newcastle scored next, equalising after some good passing around the box found Alvarez free on the right to hit past Kovar after 60 minutes. Considering how many chances we'd had in the game, Newcastle were fired up by their goal and Kovar made some huge saves. Our subs really did not perform very well, misplacing simple passes. We held on for a draw which seemed like a fair result in the end. It took 47 seconds to take the lead against Norwich. Watson started and it was through one his long throws. It's throw in, Brown heads on, Bitshiabu chests it and Gray hits in. I changed to the formation at half time I used in the 2nd half against Young Boys that changed the game and we were in complete control. Hojlund doubled our lead through some great passing, a chip ball from Miley was headed on by Gyokeres and Hojlund volleyed in after 69 minutes. We made it 3 after 86 minutes, Boxall played a ball through to Hojlund, he was tackled by Bijol but it fell to Gyokeres to hit in. 21 shots, 8 on target, 4 CCCs, 2.81xG vs 1 shot, 0 on target, 0.00xG. We were brilliant. A fluke goal gave us the lead against West Ham. Holms hit in a low cross, it's hit off the West Ham defender, straight onto Gyokeres and it's in after 9 minutes. Bitshiabu made it 2 after 19 minutes, heading in Mileys corner. Miley scored himself to make it 3 after finishing a beat through ball from Brown after 24 minutes. Gyokeres scored our 4th after a quick counter, a cracking ball over the top by Miley that found Gyokeres onside and he chipped in for his brace after 63 minutes. West Ham did pull one back, Ward-Prowser corner, Schuurs headed up, Zouma headed back in and Terrier beat Kovar in the air to head in after 72 minutes. We went down to 10 after 85 minutes as I'd used all my subs and Brown went off injured. We held on, but we've lost Brown for 3 - 4 months! We went into the game against Arsenal with Arrey-Mbi playing at LWB as Becerra is recovering from a knock and Brown is injured, he's a CB by trade but he's done alright when he's had in fill in at LWB. We've controlled the game but in the 59th minute we didn't close down Martinelli who hits a curling shot from outside the box to give Arsenal the lead after 58 minutes. We made changes and it was sub Juliao with a deflected pass that luckily found sub Lopez to hit in after 67 minutes to equalise. Such quality happened, Kossounou dribbled 15 yards or so, going down the right flank and put in an amazing ball which found Lopez who headed in to give us the lead after 85 minutes! What an assist from Kossounou, he's a CB! With that, we controlled possession and it was a great win against such a good side. With so many games I rotated against Leeds and Wober put them ahead after 27 minutes with a brilliant shot from outside the box. Juliao equalised after 27 minutes, finishing a great team move. Arrey-Mbi should have put us ahead before the break but headed over when he should have headed in, it was poor. We took the lead after 51 minutes when Juliao won the ball, we countered and Boxall finished off. Schuurs headed in after 53 minutes to make it 3 from a Lopez corner. I thought Leeds has scored an absolutely brilliant goal but luckily Fofana was offside or it could have been goal of the month against us. Leeds did pull one back, they put a low cross into the and both my defenders were muscled off the ball in two difference instances and they passed it in the net, it's such a strange animation when it happens but we still took home the win. We took the lead against Brighton through an O.G after 10 minutes. Corner, in, it's hit about, Greaves hits it and it's off Luiz Feliple and past the goalkeeper. Hojlund made it 2 after 10. Good passing down the left, Becerra plays him in and he slots past Peretz. It took until the 56th minute but we scored our 3rd after Kossounou headed in Mileys corner. Brighton pulled one back through Karabec, some good passing, Mitoma was onside, pulled it back and Karabec found space to put it in after 65 minutes. We made it 4 just a minute later though, Bitshiabu headed on Mileys corner, it was saved but only to Lopez to head into an empty net. It was a really solid performance against a team that are underperforming. I had to rotate massively against Crystal Palace as we played them on the Friday and we have the Leicester on Monday who are doing much better. We took the lead just before the break as Archie Gray hit in a 25 yard screamer that Rajkovic fumbled into his net. Palace equalised after 57 minutes, Van Den Berg won the ball, tried to do too much, they countered and Yeboahs pace was too much for the CBs I have on. We took the lead in the 86th minute after Holm hit in a 30 yarder that crashed off the bar! Nothing less than we deserved, what a goal! Miley had it 3 in the 94th minute to seal the victory, after cutting in after a corner and firing low. We're top and fully deserve it. Actually shocked at how poor some of the big teams are doing. I said Gyokeres wasn't in form, he is now . Champions League I changed roles at half time, creating a tactic named "Give it to Flores" with a very attacking direct playmaking style and my word did it work . Carabao Cup I have no idea how it was only 2 - 0, we battered them, look at that xG! We've just proven we can beat Arsenal, it'll still be tough. Youth intake One if not two fullbacks coming through, could be interesting. Young Player of the Year I do like it when my players win random awards . Next Month Alot of difficult games and we need to beat Dinamo and Anderlecht in the Champions League. Hopefully we can get through in all cup competitions and keep our league form going but it'll be tough, that's some very good teams compared to Decembers fixtures. Not sure what business we'll do in the transfer window but I have listed Chida, my Japanese 19 year old youth striker, he's good, clubs are really interested in him, he just doesn't fit here and when Pitchford I signed in the summer comes back at the end of the season, I'd rather give him a run as he fits my formation much better. I should be able to bring in some silly money for Chida, or I hope I can.
SpillBlood
January What an incredible month, absolutely amazing. We really do love the December/January run. Which ended up being a run of 16 games until the draw against Arsenal. It took just 6 minutes to take the lead against Leicester, with Bitshiabu heading in Mileys corner. After 15 minutes Leicester were down to 10 men after an ugly take from Bryan Zaragoza on Juliao, battle of the 5ft5 players. We made it 2 after 17 minutes, Miley swung in a corner, Bitshiabu headed, Raya saved and it fell to Hojlund to head in the empty net. We scored that exact type of goal just a few games ago . Hojlund scored his brace after 31 minutes, Becerra with a throw in on the left, Holjund has dribbled through and fired low into the corner. Hojlund scored a perfect hat-trick in the 73rd minute with some great passing, it was a quality wait and pass from Gyokeres to set him up. Winks was lucky to not be sent off in the 74th minute after a hard tackle when he was already on a yellow. 33 shots, 16 on target, 3.98xG vs 2 shots, 0 on target, 0.15xG, after the red card they didn't have a chance. We were brilliant. It took 2 minutes for Hojlund to score against his old club Manchester United! Miley swung in the corner, Kossounou flicked it on and Hojlund was waiting at the back post to head in. We made it 2 after 19 minutes, Becerra crossed, Onana came for it and was in no mans land for Juliao to hit into an empty net. Becerra scored this time to make it 3 after 28 minutes, Miley played it out left, he's dribbled in the box, unchallenged and he's nutmegged Onana! I think Manchester United were a bit ticked off as Bruno Fernandes dived in two feet into Miley to see himself sent off after 42 minutes, it was an awful challenge. We made it 4 just before the break, Gyokeres stole the ball on the right, played a one-two with Holm and then hit it low for Hojlund to get a brace. Manchester United pulled one back even with 10 men in the 76th minute, Watson on a sub gave away a penalty which Otavio placed in the bottom corner. We made it 5 and another Hojlund hat-trick! Flores swung in the corner, Kossounou headed it but Onana saved, Holjund was free to head in. We're scoring so many goals like this now ! Joao Gomes gave Chelsea the lead after just 5 minutes with a 25 yard low drive, it was a quality strike. Juliao equalised after 15 minutes when Hojlunds cross found Holms, he's nodded into Juliao's path who's shot, it's hit the inside of the post and it's in. The Champions League duo come on and give us the lead! Holm plays a ball forward that finds Lopez, he plays a ball across the box that finds Flores to poke in after 69 minutes! That gave us the win in an incredibly close game, even though their xG was 1.04 and ours was 2.75, the scoreline was fair and both 'keepers had to make some brilliant saves. We're crusing at the top, Hojlund is so good. He somehow wasn't in contention for POTM but Becerra won young POTM. Carabao Cup Our defence was solid in both legs and Kovar was briliant away at the Emirates. We possibly got a bit lucky we got the goal and we're into the final! And it's a tough draw! FA Cup We made this hard for ourselves! Thankfully we saw the game out. Burnley were a good team but we were better. Away at Spurs is a tough tough ask. Champions League Not sure what it is about this competition but Lopez and Flores uptop together are incredible. Flores has 6 goals and leads goals/90 minutes with 1.45, Lopez leads the assists chars with 7 and MOTM charts with 4. It's brilliant. We won the games we needed to quality in the winter run, hopefully we can get a good draw in the last 16. Deadline Day Such a strange bid considering his valuation. Tbf since this his value has dropped to 21 - 25m, he's still the club captain but he'll be replacing in the summer, he's my worst performing CB now. I was linked with Todibo who's currently at Arsenal and he looks fantastic but 65milish for a 29/30 year old CB with 200k+ wages isn't my type of player, we'll see what the summer holds. I made 20+mil profit on Chida and some good clubs including Atletico Madrid wanted him on loan but I wanted the money to invest in English youth players. Wolves were interested in Obdando who I'd felt wasn't going to get any better and to cash in on him which I made 17.5+mil profit on. I bought in 4 players for the future. Phillips looks brilliant for 18 and has so much room to improve, potentially the next Declan Rice. Tremble is a potential future CB, training him as a ball player. Lele is Obando's replacement. Martinez has alot of potential, having a trained at club GK in the future would be brilliant. We have some brilliant players and are paying alot of wages out and some of the bigger clubs who haven't won anything in years or teams such as Newcastle are becoming more midtable are paying so much more out, it's crazy. Next Month Another run of tough games, hopefully we can keep this brilliant form up and keep these cup runs going. SpillBlood
Carabao Cup Final It's our third Carabao Cup Final, losing to Spurs in 2024/2025 and beating Leeds in 2026/2027. Can we make it 2 out of 3? It ain't bad. The line ups: We're in with a chance! City kick off the first half. 10th minute: Rotherham counter and Holjund is dribbling through to goal, the City defenders are catching up so he goals for the lob that Ederson expertly deals with. 17th minute: Holm crosses, Miley heads at goal but Ederson tips over for a corner. Miley takes the corner but City clear, Gyokeres has and it's an awful pass that Foden takes. 18th minute: Quality ball through to Hojlund form Miley, he probably should of shot first time but he chose to dribble and we closed down for a corner. Miley swings in and Kossounou heads well over. 20th minute: It's too easy, passing through from City and Haaland is in space and slots in the bottom corner, 1 - 0 to City. 21st minute: We're shooting and City are having to defend, we win another corner, Miley swings in and City boot out for a throw. Holm takes, but poor passing again, City are on the counter but Kovar catches the soft header. 26th minute: Miley hits a freekick and it's the post! Foden manages to cut out the follow up! 31st minute: Is Miley fouled in the box? That's a strong tackle and it is! Gyokeres.. can he do it? It's past Ederson! 1 - 1! 33rd minute: City cross in but Kovar takes. 34th minute: Swedberg has it outwide, he crosses and we head behind for a corner. Foden takes, Miley heads out, CIty have again but Juliao wins the ball and then is fouled, Rodri is booked. 40th minute: Juliao hits a ball over to Becerra who is absolutely tiny on this pitch and expects him to win the header, City counter, Rodri goes for a worldy but he hits it well well over. Don't think Juliao was very smart that time. 42nd minute: Kossounou goes into the book and Foden has a freekick, it's a wonderful hit and it's an absolutely class save from Kovar. City win the corner, Foden hits in and Kossounou heads over. 43rd minute: Holm plays a low cross across the box, Gyokeres hits and it's a huge block. We win the corner, Miley takes and it's headed out to Juliao but City win it back. It's half time. We kick off. 46th minute: City have a freekick near the half way line, it's hit into the box and we don't clear properly. Debast plays it to Gvardiol, he lays off Ball who blasts well over. 51st minute: Another City freekick, it's hit into the box and Kossounou heads out for a corner. Foden takes and Kossounou heads out, Debast collects and passes it back to Lewis who sprays it out wide to Foden, he crosses in but Kossounou heads out. Lewis collects, plays it into the box and Holm clears. 53rd minute: Another City freekick, Foden swings in and Haaland heads over. 55th minute: Another City freekick! It's hit outwide, it's played to the edge of the box and Lewis forces a good save from Kovar. It's a corner, Foden takes and Kovar hits out and Gyokeres collects, we're trying to counter and we win a corner. Miley takes and it's headed out, Gyokeres lays off Juliao who forces a good save from Ederson. City kick out and are attacking, Ruben absolutely does Gamal and hits a good shot that Kovar has to save for a corner. Foden takes, Kovar takes. 60th minute: We win the corner, Miley takes it's headed out, back in, out again and Miley robs the ball and hits a great shot, that's a top top save from Ederson! 66th minute: Foden takes a freekick from the edge of the box and it's a corner. It's swung in and Kovar takes. He rolls out to Kossounou who hits out to Becerra who had to try and head the ball which is not part of his game at all, City attack and Holm clears for a corner. We need to make a change. Lopez is coming on for Hojlund, Gray and Boxall on for Juliao and Miley and Schuurs on for Becerra, forcing Greaves out to LWB, we're really missing Archie Brown, he'd be brilliant in a game like this. 67th minute: Foden takes the corner, it's headed out to Ruben, outwide again with Foden who forces a good save from Kovar. Lewis collects but Boxall takes, a poor pass and Ruben has it again, Lewis on the edge of the box and it's another corner! It's in and Boxall heads over for corner, it's in again and we finally clear, but do we. City have it again on the edge of the box and another corner, Kovar takes this time. 74th minute: We got luckly, a great turn from Haaland and his strike is off the bar! van den Berg is having to come on for Bitshiabu, he's struggling! 74th minute: Another City corner, Foden in, out and Gyokeres takes, loses it but we win it back. 77th minute: Ferdi cuts in and Kovar makes a great save to deny, another corner, hit in again and Greaves heads away. 78th minute: Boxall steals but his pass is poor, it's with Adeyemi whos shot is blocked by Kossouno. 81st minute: Holm takes a freekick to Boxall who shoots wide. 84th minute: City are passing round the back, Haaland shoots from outside the box and it's another corner. Foden hits in and we clear. Holm is robbed and City hit a ball over, it's going out for a goalkick but Kossounou hits it out???? What. It's in and we clear. 87th minute: We hit a freekick in, it's headed on by Gyokeres, Gray heads it and it's the bar! We nearly stole it! It's extra time! City dominated that 2nd half. City kick off. 92nd minute: Ademeyi goes down the left, cuts in and Foden hits into basically an open net, 2 - 1 to City. We just gotta go for it. Watson replaces Gamal, can his long throw work? 96th minute: Great passing from the Millers and Holm forces a great save from Ederson. Boxall hits in the corner but it's headed out. 98th minute: City cross, Haaland heads and it's easy for Kovar. 105th minute: Really poor from Kossounou to give the ball away, City counter, win a corner and Kovar takes. We kick off. 106th minute: Schuurs has a freekick, strikes and it's over. 118th minute: Gray steals from Ferdi, Holm crosses and it's cleared to Greaves, it's to Boxall who plays it to Gray who hits in!!!! it's 2 - 2!!! 120th minute: Rotherham corner, Lopez and headed out. City look to coutner but Gray steals, we're attacking and it's another corner. Boxall hits in and headed out, we still have but Schuurs loses and City are countering, Lewis is down so City kick it out and it's pens! City take the first pen. Haaland steps up... KOVAR SAVES!!!! Gyokeres steps up... EDERSON SAVES! SAME SPOT. Foden steps up... it's blasted in! Lopez steps up... top corner! in! Adeyemi steps up... cooly slotted in the bottom! in! Schuurs steps up... blasted low! in! Doku steps up... it's in! Gray steps up... blasted in! Lewis steps up... top corner, in! Boxall steps up... bottom corner! in! Matheus steps up... blasted in! Watson steps up... blasted low! in! Ferdi steps up... Kovar messed up then! in! Kossounou steps up... it's in! Ruben steps up... it's in! van den Berg steps up.... sends Ederson the wrong way! in! Ederson takes... and it's a quality pen! Holm steps up... Ederson saves! City win the cup! We tried, they have such a quality team. Their bench would walk into our first team.
SpillBlood
February Apart from our cup loss, it's been an amazing month. 3 minutes in and the referee went to the monitor for a penalty check against Liverpool but decides it wasn't a foul! 6 minutes in and he's doing it again! The second time we did win a penalty as Holjund was fouled! Gyokeres steps up and Alisson saves, Gyokeres is in a goal drought! We do take the lead in the 14th minute, brilliant attacking player, Becerra plays a low ball into the edge of box and Gamal hits in the corner low past Allison. Liverpool found the equalise after Vlasic was played through by Gravenbach and he hit in the top corner after 76 minutes. We took the lead in the 80th minute as sub Juliao scored from a shot from outside the area! Can't tell if it took a deflection or not but I'll take it! Bitshiabu sealed the victory in the 94th minute, heading in Lopez's corner with a little help from the woodwork. We finally took the lead against Nottingham Forest in the 37th minute as Gyokeres should have really put us ahead earlier in the game to break his drought. It was Hojlund who played a neat ball through to the on running Juliao who hit in. Gyokeres did finally get back to scoring ways after he was fouled in the box after 54 minutes but this time cooly converted his penalty. Forest pulled one back just 2 minutes later. They swung in a corner, it was poorly headed out, Niakhate has passed it back to Malen who's unleashed a strike from outside the box past Kovar. Forest then equalised after Sangare headed in Hudson-Odoi's corner after 64 minutes! We went back ahead though just one minute later! After a Rotherham corner, we still had possesion, Watson has passed to Bitshiabu who struck the ball and it's a HUGE deflection, hitting Mukiele and going past the goalkeeper! Boxall made it 4 after 72 minutes, Watson threw in to Hojlund, he's played a smart ball to Boxall who's dribbled past his man and hit past Turner. It wasn't over though, Forest pulled one back to make it 4 - 3 in the 76th minute! Cirkin hit a pass, it's blocked and a kindly fell to Malen to put in for his brace, total fluke pass but I can't say anything after the own goal! Hojlund made sure we sealed the victory in the 98th minute! Quality ball over the top from Watson found Hojlund to smash in. That was an incredible game of football, Hojlund was the difference. I had to make changes for the Aston Villa game, we had tired key players who we needed to be fit for the cup game against City. Villa had the best chances in the first half but it was us that took the lead in the second. Flores hit a freekick which Schuurs headed back across goal and van den Berg headed in after 53 minutes for what I'm sure is his first Rotherham goal! In the 86th minute to seal the victory, it was van den Berg getting a brace after heading in Flores' corner! Gyokeres came on and scored a 3rd! Another sub in Holm played a quality ball through which Gyokeres has run on to finish! We were so much better in the 2nd half, Schuurs nearly scored such a good goal but his volley hit the woodwork. Brilliant win. We have some tired players after the City and Spurs cup games so I've had to make a couple of changes for the Spurs league game as we have Ajax just 4 days later. Spurs took the lead after just 6 minutes after Kulusevski found Pedrola with a good through ball, it was all us after that and some good passing found Gyokeres to set up Hojlund who's shot deflected in after 25 minutes to equalise. We took the lead in the 48th minute as Bitshiabu headed in Lopez's corner. We made it 3 after 76 minutes, incredible play from Boxall, dribbling past his man, into the box and finding van den Berg who's cutting in from the right in space to hit in. Spurs pulled one back in the 87th minute, Phillips heading in Zeballos' corner. We managed to hold onto the lead and take home all 3 points. We're flying high! Carabao Cup See above. FA Cup We hit the woodwork 3 times! For some reason the game only says 2 but we hit it the 3rd time for when the goal went in. Tough draw and no doubt they'll be looking for revenge as we beat them at their ground 5 - 1 in January. Champions League I was not expecting that! Miley only came on as I wanted to put on some fresh legs and he was brilliant! Next Month Hopefully keep our brilliant form going! Would love to actually win the FA Cup as we've been in the final twice and lost both .
SpillBlood
March A pretty good month. It took 32 minutes for us to take the lead against Fulham, Miley swung in the corner, it was headed out to Juliao, he played it Gyokeres who rifled a half volley into the back of the net. He really should have doubled his tally just after half time but he blazed it out. Gyokeres finally got his brace after 54 minutes, Holjund played him in with a quality ball and he smashed it in. Juliao made it 3 after 58 minutes, Miley swung in the corner, it was headed out, Kossounou cushioned a header to Juliao who smashed in from just inside the box. Kovar made some brilliant saves towards the end of the game to keep a clean sheet, one of them was at full stretch following a corner, Fulham's attacker has headed it, it's going to the opposite top corner and Kovar somehow got to it, it was an amazing save to keep a clean sheet. Manchester City were the better side in the first half, no clear chances but both teams hit the woodwork and we went into half time even. It was Rotherham though who took the lead in the 60th minute. Gyokeres played the ball to Holm out right, he's cut in and used the outside of his boot on his stronger foot to hit past Ederson. City should have equalised in the 73rd minute through Ball as he's played in but he hits the post! We went close for a 2nd just after but Ederson denied Gray. Haaland should have equalised after an awful pass from Gray but he hit wide in the 92nd minute! An even game but City really should have pulled one back, big points dropped for them in the "title race" but since we're the ones they're chasing, I'm not complaining ! I've had to rotate massively for the Everton game ans I'm hoping the fact that they're 17th doesn't punish us. Everton looked like scoring first but an absolutely quality ball from Flores found Lopez in space to run on and hit in after 21 minutes. Everton finally got their goal in the 26th minute, Branthwaite heading in Patterson's corner. What a goal and thankfully it was a Miller. Gamal who came on for the injured Watson curled a shot in from just outside the box after 45 minutes so we went into the break ahead but van den Berg also had to go off injured just before the break. I thought Everton were gonna equalise, Kovar pulled off some great saves, especially from corners but we went 3 - 1 up after 73 minutes, Holm played a through ball which found Lopez onside and he cooly slotted in. We made it 4 after 91 minutes, Boxall swung in the corner, Bitshiabu headed at goal, Fernandez got low to save but Schuurs headed in the rebound. It was a good win in the end and we were the better side, especially in the 2nd half but I'm shocked Everton are 17th, Kovar had to make some important saves and they played some good stuff. We went behind against Bournemouth, Traore hit in a corner, we headed it out, he collected and hit in after 20 minutes. In the 42nd minute Gyokeres was fouled and we won a pen but even with 16 penalty taking, 17 finishing and 14 composure, Dahlhberg saved his penalty. He isn't doing the best from the spot. We managed to equalise in the 71st minute, Brown back from injury won the ball back, Boxall collected, crossed in and Lopez headed in. We were the better side in the end and we had the chances but Bournemouth held strong and Dahlberg was brilliant. Out of 32 games, we've won 26 and we've won 16 league wins in a row. We've drawn twice to 14th place Bouremouth who stopped our winning run. 15 points clear with City only having 21 to play for, surely it's our title. This came up even though we lost to City? We've already been given our season budget, need to sell some players to bring in the players I want as we're looking at 50/60mil defenders. Champions League Taylor scored a brilliant freekick but that 4 - 0 away thrasing made sure we were through. Hopefully we can get revenge on "Parthenope" as we lost to them in November 1 - 0. FA Cup Miley was fantastic, an assist and goal saw us through to the next round. I'd like to think we can get to the final, Newcastle aren't as good as they should be. Youth intake Not sure where this quality fullback that was coming through is but... I don't play with wingers or AMs but I do play with Pressing Forwards and he's absolutely rapid for his age, I'm training him upfront. He does lack jumping reach and heading but that teamwork, determination and work rate is the sort of player we want here. NxGN So we have the winner who's my 4th striker and number 36 who actually came through the clubs ranks and made his Turkey debut whilst on loan at Burton. I'm not sure he's good enough to ever make it here it's cool to see a player that has come through our academy that early into our save a full national at 19 and seen as a top 50 wonderkid. This is Ercan: I don't know how much more he can improve but he'll be going out on loan again next year and hopefully can play as backup HG player at some point. Next Month Big month for cups, I'm hoping we can beat "Parthenope" and Newcastle, the prem should be wrapped up in April, the big clubs really aren't good in this save and some managers are absolutely getting sacked too fast. SpillBlood
April A good month in which we were crowned Champions but we've collapsed at the end, the Arsenal game was very frustrating. Becerra and Miley were both on holiday resting so they weren't available for the Sheff Utd game, I had tired players and had to heavily rotate but I still put a strong enough side out that we should beat our rivals. I just had to play my new youth RB Lele due to Holm being too tired and van den Berg and Gamal being injured. Sheff Utd took the lead though, Duarte scored a 25 yard screamer after 39 minutes, not alot Kovar can do there! Brown equalised just before half time though, heading in Boxall's corner. We made it 2 just after the break, Juliao played a one two with Lele then set through Hojlund who smashed in after 48 minutes. We made it 3 after 76, Schuurs hit a freekick straight into the wall, the ball bounced to Gyokeres who's dribbled into the box, past his man and shot, the goalkeeper didn't get a strong enough hand to it and it's in the net after 77 minutes. It was 4 after 81 minutes, Schuurs heading in sub Sorensen Petersen's corner. In the 83rd we made it 5! Sub Peter Phillips set up sub Bisthiabu who dribbled into the box cut past his man and fired in! He's on as a sub playing LWB, wasn't expecting a CB to do that! We went into the Newcastle game needing just a point to win the title and we were struggling to even get a shot away but in the 42nd minute van den Berg cut it and played a low cross that found Gyokeres to hit in to make it 1 - 0. Flores had only just been subbed on and made it 2! A Watson long throw, Kossounou headed on and Flores charged into the box and fired low after 67 minutes. A good solid win in the end, Newcastle had the possession but we had the quality. I decieded to start 15 year old MacDonald against Norwich, why not? Norwich didn't have a shot in the first half and just before the break we finally made our dominance count, we'd hit the post, Gyokeres had missed a huge chance but it was Boxall heading in van den Bergs cross after 45+2 minutes to go in ahead. Norwich had a couple of chances to equalise and hit the woodwork but Flores on as a sub put us 2 - 0 up. Watson threw to Arrey-Mbi who layed off Flores hit in on the half volley. Juliao made is 3 in the 89th minute, quality football from Flores, his initial cross is cut out but Becerra recovers, passes to Flores who lays off Juliao after 89 minutes. Our subs had a huge impact and Kovar was brilliant. I kept MacDonald on for the full match hoping he'd get a goal but it wasn't to be. West Ham are also playing in the Europa Conference League which is why we're playing on a Sunday which is not ideal for us as our all imporant match against Arsenal is on Wednesday so I have to rotate, if I want to beat Citys record points, we need to win. West Ham looked like they might score for the first goal but it was Rotherham who popped up. Watson throw in, Gyokeres plays back, he plays it back to Gyokeres who plays a chipped cross and Holjund headed in after 11 minutes. West Ham equalised in the 36th minute, Bowen dribbled down the left, played a low cross and Colombo hit in. West Ham took the lead just 2 minutes after, Colombo skinned his man, dribbled in the box and hit low, that was woeful from us. Kudus made it 3 after 53 minutes, Zouma dribbled down the right, found Bowen who played to Kudus who knocked it. Becerra came on as a sub and gave West Ham a penalty, Colombo stepped up to make it a hat-trick but Kovar denied. West Ham made it 4 in the 94th minute, Colombo heading in Terrier's corner. We were well beaten in the end, I didn't expext a good enough back 3 in Schuurs, Arrey-Mbi and Bitshiabu to play so poorly. I hope we're not about to collapse with some big games due. The West Ham game means we can't beat Manchester City's record points but this is still an amazing season. FA Cup This will be our third FA cup final, hopefully we can win it third tine lucky . Champions League Gamal went off injured and Watson couldn't fill his boots, Napoli came out the second half flying, thankfully Flores did what he does in the Champions League. Of course Gyokeres missed another penalty . Atleast we went through! Losing 2 - 1 away to 10 men, very frustrating, we need to be so much better in the 2nd leg at home, I feel if we don't win this we'll have thrown away our chances at a Champions League final. Next Month Hoping we can finally win the FA Cup and we beat Arsenal at home! Edited February 9 by SpillBlood
SpillBlood
We made it to the Champions League final. But imagine how you'd react when your RWB who assisted your first goal, scored your second does this for Arsenal to equalise in the 86th minute. Gyokeres came on at half time and played brilliantly, Flores is just something else, he's making me first he should be a first team starter next year. And in the final we have... No Real Madrid they've won it 3 years in a row! AC Milan actually knocked them out! Well, this is going to be a tough game but I think we have a chance! SpillBlood
Season End 12 minutes in and Leeds had already injured two of my players! Thankfully they're only little knocks but I had to sub both. In the 40th minute I had to sub Gray who had come on as a sub! This isn't looking good! We took the lead through a mistake from Leeds. Meslier played it out to Colwill who played to to Strujik, Hojlund said thank you very much, took the ball, dribbled into the box, smashed it, Bol should have been able to block it going in but didn't connect and after 47 we were 1 - 0 up. We made it 2 after 52 minutes, Hojlund dribbled down the left, played a low cross into the box, Gyokeres is blocked but Juliao runs in and drills it past the 'keeper. We made it 3 after 67 minutes, good passing round the box, Watson to Brown who smashed it from just outside the box into the far corner. Brown doubled just minutes later, heading in Mileys corner. We were brilliant in the 2nd half. Seems Leeds wanted revenge on an ex player though as we've lost Archie Gray for 3 months. We finally made our dominance pay against Brighton as Kossounou headed in Lopez's corner after 40 minutes. Brighton equalised after 47 minutes when Sesko got on the end of Hinshelwood's long ball, there was a big error from Bitshiabu during that, he's massively out of form. We won a penalty in the 58th minute and Gyokeres had just come on as a sub, he finally hit in a pen to make it 2 - 1 to Rotherham. We had enough chances to make it 3 and Brighton hit the post late on but a win is a win at the end of the day! Tottenham are very interested in signing Hojlund, like I'm going to sell . Now onto the cup finals! I really want that FA Cup, it's our third time trying and Everton felt like they were a bogey team at one point. We haven't lost to them in 4 games, surely we can make it 5. Everton are happy to keep possession. Third FA Cup Final we've lost . How can we absolutely batter the league and then flop in the finals so bad. They're passing it around, attacking down the left, it's crosses in and Kovar takes. 90th minute: Kovar kicks out and Milan win it back, Hojlund makes the tackle, it's a poor ball from Greaves but thankfully he wins it back. Milan look to attack but Leao is offside. 92nd minute: We're passing round the back, Brown has it now, down the left, Hojlund is tackled, AC attack down their left, Holm wins and WE'VE WON THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. BEFORE THE FA CUP . FIRST TIME IN THE FINAL AND WE'VE WON IT!!!! I did say Flores did likes this competiton Edited February 9 by SpillBlood
SpillBlood
End of Season An amazing season, winning the Champions League was incredible, especially the come back against Arsenal. We were so close to hitting the record Prem points and an FA Cup but we can try again next season, we have the Club World Cup to play in and I'm already looking at a CB that is being released from a Saudi team, my scouts are obsessed with him but he wants 250k p/w and I'm not sure I can pay that, it might be tempting considering he's costing me no money. I'm looking to bring in quality this year, we have some good youth but I want to bring in elite players if I can. It's going to be an interesting summer and some of my good players will be leaving. Edit: We're overachievers again And Hojlund was signing of the season . Edited February 9 by SpillBlood
SpillBlood
Season 7 - 2029/2030 Pre-season went well with my assistant playing the matches as normal, I'm always busy scouting youth and key players over the summer window. Our squad is bigger but I have youth players out on loan to play as I can't give them any time here. There's still a couple of players I wouldn't mind loaning out for game time. We have strength in depth. Staff We're the best in the league at everything expect Physiotherapy which we're 2nd. We've come a long way in such a short amount of time. Club Reputation Under Reputation due to our recent success we're supposedly the biggest club in England . Most players seem interest to come here, we just can't afford them or their wages. Sadly the only want to solve this is a new stadium which we're 3 years away from. Training Facilities We have 100mil in the bank but he won't increase youth facilities. But he'll increase recruitment. Make sense . Transfers Also out: Yeah, I smashed our club record signing a RWB but I had two options, Livramento or Dumfries who's 33 and would have cost 50million. The two CBs are masssive upgrades and the rest are youth players with 1 more youth player inc in january. I couldn't turn down 28mil for Greaves, he isn't good enough anymore. 40mil for Schuurs is also too good to turn down as he was a rotation player. Damac triggered Bright Arrey-Mbis release clause and I was happy to sell. van Hooijdonk sadly isn't good enough anymore. 10mil for my backup goalkeeper is crazy money. Wain is a player with no future, Championship at best so I was happy to cash in. So who are the new players? Starting CB and will be club captain. Incredibly experienced CB who will also be starting. Livramento will be my starting RWB and can still improve. Robledo replaces Iversen Young is one for the future. Hubana is a target forward! It's worked for me in the past, has ALOT of potential. Is a risk as he's injury prone but he could be a huge huge player. First time I've had this and in the future I'd like to bring more big names in. Season Start We start with two cup finals and what should be 9 points.

Miley fires in and Everton head out to Juliao, to Miley, Gray long shot is blocked, Holm plays in but it's clear and we play it back. Becerra has it out left, crosses and Sanchez collects. 95th minute: Everton cross and Holm heads behind, Patterson sends in the corner and Kovar collects. We hold and and win the Community Shield. We were the better side by far but we conceded two easy goals! Atleast we beat Everton.
SpillBlood
UEFA Super Cup We actually beat Real Madrid in 2027/2028 for the Super Cup, I think we're favourites here to win it again. Lopez hits it in and Bitshiabu heads it just wide. 10th minute: Becerra plays in Miley, he hits in a low cross and Bard gets across to defend for a corner. Becerra has it , he crosses and Gray heads over. 29th minute: Becerra steals but his pass is so poor, it's intercepted and Bounani is through to hit in. It's 2 - 1 and Nice put away their only chance of the game. 30th minute: Flores hits a quality freekick that Plizzari has to deny. Miley hits in the corner but they out, Becerra hits it and it's well over. 36th minute: Vivian hits out a low cross for a corner, it's in and we head out for a throw in. 38th minute: Becerra has it down the left, Pavard tackles, Nice are playing it around but Livarmento steals, Gray to Miley but he hits way over. 39th minute: Livramento loses out and Nice try and break, Miley steals but is tackled, Becerra has it and wins a corner. It's in, they head out, we had in and keeper takes, he kicks out straight to us again. Livramento down the right, to Gray, Miley, Gamal, it's back, cleared to us again, Miley shoots but it's over. Their GK has such poor kicking. 42nd minute: Lopez crosses and Miley heads over. 44th minute: Bitshiabu dribbled down the left, takes on two men and wins a corner. Miley swings it in but it's headed out, Flores collects, we're passing round, Livramento crosses but it's poor and out for a throw in. It's half time. Second half: We kick off. 45th minute: Livramento has it, to Gray but he loses it and Nice kick out, Becerra collects, dribbles down and crosses, it's punched out and Gamal volleys it over. 51st minute: Lopez hits in the corner and it's headed over. 52nd minute: Another corner but it's headed out. 55th minute: Becrra throws in to Miley, back to Becerra, his poor ball is robbed, we have it back, Livramento's through ball is cut out, we have it back again, it's hit low into the box, Flores hits the post! There's a huge change to Miley but he blazes it over! That should have been 3! 60th minute: Musah shoots but Kovar saves. 60th minute: Becerra at the other end, shoots but it's saved. 68th minute: Gamal hits in a free kick but it's headed out, we have it, played into Becerra but his shot is tame. 70th minute: Pavard wins it, they're passing it round, it's a long shot but it's only just over. 73rd minute and I'm subbing my fullbacks and my MCs, they're so tired. I'm also sneaking MacDonald on for Lopez. 78th minute: We're passing round, Holm to Juliao who strikes and it's a good save. Flores with the corner and it's headed out, Boxall cuts in and it's MacDonald and that's another good save. 83rd minute: We're attacking, Gamal shoots and wins a corner. Flores hits in and it's out to Boxall, Flores but he's tackled, Nice block the through ball but we still have it. Brown is tackled and Nice try to attack but Brown takes it back, Juliao has it, out to Holm, low cross, Doumbouya gets the better of MacDonald. 87th minute: MacDonald thumps it and it's a huge save! Boxall corner, Kossounou flicks on but it's out. Vivian has it, we're passing round and Musah intercepts the through ball. 90th minute: We have it down the left, Boxall plays through to Flores, Brown, Boxall, Holm but the keeper collects the low cross. 90th minute: Nice freekick in and it's out wide and headed way over. That would have had to be the best header ever to go in. It's over. We've won the Super Cup! Vivian must be happy, he's been captain for two games and won two trophies! SpillBlood
10 hours ago, AlfieLucas said: Still doing incredibly well. How are you managing it lol. Honestly I don't know. I just look for players who have good physicals, work rate, teamwork and determination. Jumping reach seems to help. Not sure if it's because I build my teams a certain way and AI don't, I think they sack managers too often or they buy some odd players for alot of money who don't really fit. I keep thinking I need to switch to a tactic with wingers but honestly what I'm doing seems to be working just fine. I don't have many players who are the best technically. We lack free kick, penalty and corner takers but we still score from corners as I try and find players who are more like having tanks on the field that will win headers. I think that's why Davies, Tietz and van Hooijdonk did so well in my tactic, I've looked at other teams with strikers worth alot of money but they lack physical aspects and have a poor scoring record. My corner takers are Miley who has 11 corners, Lopez who has 10 and then sometimes Watson who has 10, Gamal who has 9 and if needed Becerra who has 8. It isn't something I feel I need to work on, I'd rather have physical players. The only players who are ineffective in the air are Becerra and Juliao who are 5'4 and 5'5 but play in postions I can adapt for them and are both good enough players in general I can get away with it. I have Archie Brown who has 18 JR and 13 heading to play at LWB instead of Becerra if need be and Gray or Boxall are more physical players(not the most physical but still a big improvement over Juliao) if need be in CM. Just think it's the way to go. Edited February 10 by SpillBlood
SpillBlood
August The start we wanted! We start the season at home against Nottingham Forest, a team we haven't lost against in 9 games, we've beat them 8 times and drawn once. It took 3 minutes to take the lead, Livramento passed back to Juliao, who played it to Gyokeres in the box, he layed off Gamal who hit low past Turner. 9 minutes in and it's a potential penalty, it's been given! Gyokeres steps up.. and hit low to make it 2 after 10 minutes! It's 3 after 22 minutes, a low cross from Becerra finds Gyokeres who hits low past Turner. We made it 4 after 23 minutes, a quality ball over from Gamal found Gyokeres onside who volleyed home for his hat-trick. Nottingham Forest went down to 10 men in the 35th minute after Danilo slid in with two feet and took out Miley. It was 5 after 44 minutes, Juliao played a one-two with Miley and then hit a good shot across goal into the far corner. We couldn't find another goal in the second half but Gyokeres was top class today! 3 goals and an assist ! Our passing so far in the first half against Wolves has been so poor, we're lucky they haven't scored. I was about to sub Miley and Lopez off when Becerra threw in to Miley, he dribbled past his man, found Lopez in the box who hit in after 56 minutes. In the end it was a good win for us, by far the better team but a very shaky first 20 minuts when it came to pass completion. I've had to rotate a couple of tired players but this is a game we should be winning. In the 2nd minute we've won a penalty. Boxall hits a ball over the top, it looks like it's too long but Solet pushed down Gyokeres, he steps up and hits in! We're in total control and we finally went 2 - 0 up, Boxall headed in Browns cross after 27 minutes. We made it 3 in the 91st minute, Gamal with an absolutely wonderful through ball found Juliao who slotted past Cox. Even though he's conceded 3, he's made some brilliant saves. In the 94th minute Ezequiel Fernandez was sent off for Brentford after a 2nd yellow card. It was a great win in a game which we dominated. West Ham just won 7 - 2 and went top! Champions League Draw An easier draw than last year, two tough games against AC Milan and Inter but the rest should be wins. Carabao Cup I would have liked an easier game to play youth but atleast we're at home. Deadline Day United came in for Holm, he was a squad player now and I've made 42mil profit on him . I can't believe Arsenal have overtaken City! They're spending crazy money a week and aren't good enough! Players in I needed to replace Holms and finding a RWB was not easy, especially one that can win a header. I did find a Canadian RWB at Porto but he wanted to play first team and 150k a week which he isn't as good as Livramento and it just wasn't happening. He's played alright for Almeria and 20mil was the higher end of his market value but I needed cover. I'm training his heading + bravery to see if I can get it increased by a point or two but this is the best players I could find who'd come and play rotation. For £1.5mil I bought in a youth fullback, i'm retraining him LWB and as a wing-back support role, IF I can get him trained well enough he could be a good option to play LWB and RWB as he has a strong right foot. He could be a great player in the future he just has alot to learn. He's a punt due to being injury prone but he's a cheap punt. I actually made money this window. We have money in the bank, still have 67mil in the budget and 250k in the wage budget. I just think some of the prices for potentially slight improvements are crazy but on the flip side, the money would have been spent if I didn't sign the two free CBs that were released. Maybe we'll see if we need to bring in a big name signing in January, there is potential for a CB spot but I do want to try and give Tremble and Phillips, my youth CB and DM some game time this year. They both have alot of room to improve and look like they could be England players in the future so they need game time. Next Month I'm hoping more than anything we can beat Bournemouth as last season we drew twice. Hoping we can get wins in our cup games. SpillBlood
September We won an early penalty against Southampton, Gray sent in a cross from the right and Hojlund was taken down. Gyokeres stepped up and blasted in the bottom corner past Kellher after 8 minutes. We doubled after 10 minutes with Gray hit in from outside the box following a great passing move from the Millers. A huge mistake from Kelleher, passing the ball to Lopez and not recovering in time saw Lopez dribble round and hit the ball into the empty net after 68 minutes. In the 79th minute we won another penalty with Watson being taken down. Gyokeres got his brace, hitting his penalty in the top corner after 81 minutes. In the game it was a solid win, Southampton had 63% posession with only 4 shots and 1 on target with 0.39xG, they're going straight back down. What a finish to take the lead against Bournemouth. It's a bad pass from Alex Scott and Gamal cuts it out, passes it first time to Gyokeres who curls it low into the corner from outside the box past Dahlberg after 15 minutes who wasn't postioned properly. Hull equalised after 40 minutes, a low cross from Traore was smartly finished by Outarra. We should have taken the lead after 65 minutes but my word that was some miss from Gyokeres. After some good passing down the left, Boxall crossed to the near post and Lopez hit in after 75 to restore the lead. Lopez got his brace after 82 minutes with another attack down the left, Bournemouth headed out, Brown collected, cut in past his man passed past his next which found Lopez at the near post to poke in after 82 minutes. Bournemouth pulled one back after Broja stole the ball from a very very poor Vivian pass, he passed low, we couldn't cut out and Solanke hit in after 90 minutes. We could have scored more, we were the better side and it was a deserved win. West Ham are giving us competition! And we face them next! Carabao Cup I played my new backup goalkeeper/future starter Robledo and he was brilliant on his debut. Made some big saves and I'll need to give him more cup time, he's already #1 for Chile. Think that's the toughest draw we could have got. We'll do well to progress. Champions League Boxall was brilliant, we dominated. They had 1 shot, 0 on target. We cancelled each other out, it was an even game and it's a very good draw considering we were at the San Siro. International Goal He's scored enough for me in the Champions League but it took 10 caps to finally got his first goal. Next Month Very tough month, we're away at top of the league and then we have City and Liverpool. Nice will give us a game and Arsenal away is as tough as they come. SpillBlood
October Good month overall, we were lucky against City and we missed an opportunity against Liverpool. We had some tired players going into the West Ham game thanks to the international break so I had to rotate which I wasn't happy about. We had all the play and we finally broke the deadlock after 14 minutes wehn Brown hit in a low cross and Lopez nutmegged Henderson. West Ham equalised just before the break, good passing in and round the box and Gourna-Douath was found by Caron to slot in. I had to make subs and some tactically tweaks at half time and it paid off after just 52 minutes. Flores volleyed in Hojlunds chipped through ball to retake the lead. Miley made it 3 after 57 minutes after another sub in Boxall played a lovely ball over the top, Miley took it down and slotted in. Hojlund went off injured so I only had 1 uptop and we lost our shape. West Ham pulled one back after some good passing, Colombo found Caron to slot in after 81 minutes. It looked like Bowen had equalised for West Ham after 89 minutes but he was offside and we held on for a big win. West Ham really are a good side, they have some brilliant players. It was a cracking win in reality after the changes I had to make before the game and during. Man City had been the better side but we took the lead after 27 minutes. Miley played through Lopez who slotted in. Man City equalised after 56 minutes, Rodri hit a shot from outside the box that deflected past Kovar. We weren't good enough and I was more than happy with an away draw. We forced City in alot of long shots, they had 15 shots and only managed 2 on target. It was an even game against Liverpool and perhaps we had the best chances forcing some great saves from Altay but Eder Militao got himself sent off after 50 minutes after a scissor tackle on Miley and Liverpool were down to 10. Liverpool took the lead though after Konate headed in Szoboszlais freekick after 78 minutes. Gray thankfully scored just 2 minutes after, Hojlund crossed in low and Gray hit past Altay to equalise. We had enough chances to win, a draw to 10 men isn't good enough. Arsenal are joining in the battle now. Carabao Cup I started youngsters Tremble at CB, Phillips at DM and Robledo who had another brilliant game in net. I brought Hubana off the bench and he nearly scored just before Juliao put us ahead, so to give youngsters a game, this was a good win. Champions League We absolutely battered them but it was our defenders who scored our goals! The next Dzeko? I'd be very happy with that . This is Hubana so far: Next Month Tough games against Chelsea and Spurs and a rival game vs Leeds but we should be beating Getafe and Young Boys. SpillBlood
November What a month! We scored goals! It took 15 minutes for either side to have a shot but Brown played a ball across setting up the charging Livramento who smashed in to take the lead. Chelsea equalised with their first shot, Reece James hitting a crackin' shot in after 20 minutes. Gyokeres put us back ahead just 2 minutes later, Livramento down the right, to Juliao who ran down, crossed low and found Gyokeres who hit in. Gyokeres made it 3 after 47 minutes, a great tackle from Vivian, Gamal collected the ball, played it to Hojlund who set through Gyokeres to hit in, brilliant counter. Hojlund made it 4 after 61 minutes! Passing down the right, Livramento then dribbled down, crossed in and Hojlund headed past Trubin. What a brilliant win, winning 4 - 1 away at Stamford Bridge, love it. Vivian seems to be playing much better at RCB and he hit a quality ball over against Spurs, Gyokeres headed on and Hojlund smashed into the back of the net after 14 minutes, a really good goal. Gyokeres made it 2 on the stroke of half time, heading home Becerra's cross. Spurs pulled one back after 56 minutes, Pedrola heading in Porro's cross. Hojlund restored out 2 goal lead after a mistake from Gnoto, Becerra stole, to Gyokeres who played it to Hojlund who smashed in after 72 minutes. A good solid win, Spurs had 2 shots, 1 on target all game, what happened to them! We took the lead against Leeds after 16 minutes, Gyokeres won the ball, played it to Hojlund, back to Gyokeres who he across goal for Hojlund who slot in. Miley made it 2 after 21 minutes finishing a low cross from Becerra. Gyokeres made it 3, Becerra hit a ball through, Hojlund is blocked but Gyokeres picks it up, rounds the 'keeper and slots in. It's 4 after 56 minutes, Becerra with his 3rd assist as he drilloed a low cross that Hojlund beat his man to hit in for his brace. Leeds pulled one back in the 76th minute, Prout passed it back to Sildillia who dribbled into the box and fired low past Kovar. Gyokeres made it 5 though, Hojlund dribbled into the box, he was tackled and the ball landed straight to Gyokeres who smashed in after 86 minutes. What a win! We scored 12 in 3, my players won POTM and YPOTM but I came 2nd in MOTM, boo! Carabao Cup Good draw. Champions League We were brilliant in both games with big scores as I'd expect. England Debut Pitchford hasn't played a game for us yet . I signed him, loaned him out to Empoli, he's with Bournemouth this season but if Gyokeres does go in January as he's interested in moving to Saudi, I'll be calling him back to play. Top 50 Players No Millers in the top 50 players, think my goal is to get atleast 5 in here. Affiliate Actually my first, I haven't asked before this but I have some youth that could do with some game time. It was between Preston, Cardiff and Swansea. Preston are in the league below but my former assistant is their manager and it's why I chose them. Next Month This is an incredibly difficult month, 9 games and I have injuries and 2 key players away at AFCON. Theate is out until the end of December so there's chance my youth CB Tremble will get some game time. Looks like we'll be starting Bitshiabu, Vivian and van den Berg. Not sure who will start at DM instead of Gamal, think Gray might get some time ahead of Watson. First though we have to beat United, we're at home but Kovar might be out with a knock and that's a huge blow.
SpillBlood
December We absolutely love December, I have no idea why we're so good in it. Even though Kovar had a slight knock, he had to start against Manchester United, it's too big a game. Miley gave us the lead after 20 minutes, Gyokeres picked the loose ball after a corner, Miley from outside cut in and curled past the 'keeper. Hojlund made is 2 after 27, heading in Gyokeres cross. Gyokeres went from hero to villain, he was sent off in the 42nd minute for awful two footed challenge. Voss pulled one back for Man Utd after some good passing, Garnacho played him through and he slotted past Kovar after 55 minutes. United were the better side in the 2nd half, we had a couple of chances but we managed to hold on for the win! We're now without Gyokeres for 3 games, his form has been nothing short of sensational, he's going to be missed. We're without some key players and Everton are flying, Beto is scoring for fun. Hojlund should have put us ahead after a lucky deflection bounced to him but he hit well over, bad miss. Juliao then should have put us ahead but he fired well wide, I hope these misses don't cost us. We finally scored but Lopez was offside, I have a feeling Everton are going to steal this. The misses did cost us as it's a scoreless draw, that's the first for us a in a long time. We took the lead against Fulham after 10 minutes, Phillips hit a freekick to Livramento who was free to volley into the back of the net. We doubled after 31 minutes, Becerra hit in a cross, Lopez headed back, Bazunu saved but Hojlund was free to hit in the rebound. That was dirty! Thiago Martinez is sent off for Fulham after he lunged down Tremble after 60 minutes. We won the penalty in the 74th minute that Flores put away to make it 3 - 0. Trilli made it 4 after 92 minutes, a corner is cleared to Juliao, hit shot is blocked, Watson picks up the loose ball, lays off Trilli who smashes it, it's off the post and in. What a win, we dominated that game from start to finish. 1st vs 2nd, a big game away at Arsenal and I start with old midfield trio of Gray, Watson and Miley. What a start! An awful pass at the back from Rice, Hojlund steals, he dribbles from their side of the center circle and past the 'keeper, what a run and what a goal. Saliba heads it off the line after 10 minutes! We were nearly 2 up! It is 2 this time! Brilliant football, quality passing between Hojlund, Gray and Livramento, he hits a low cross, Miley hits and it deflects off Zinchenko into the back of the net after 11 minutes. Arsenal should have pulled one back, it isn't hit well and Kovar manages to deny after 22 minutes! Joao Neves has just come on and Kovar makes another huge save to deny him from pulling one back! Arsenal finally did pull one back after 53 minutes, Nawneri has room to dribble and then smashes it into the corner from outside the box after 54 minutes. As I was making subs I saw Arsenal hit the post! This is such a close game! It's full time! Two early games fired Arsenal on but Kovar was brilliant! It took 3 minutes to take the lead against Leicester after Bitshiabu headed in Mileys corner. Miley doubled after 12 with a curling shot just inside the box. We were superb in the first half, Leicester didn't have a single shot. Leicester didn't have a shot all game, we had 34, 17 on target with a 3.45xG, we should have scored more than 2 but we were brilliant. Leicesters goalkeeper Raya was MOTM, that says everything. A bore draw against Villa, Becerra had the best chance, Villa didn't manage a shot on target, we couldn't find a way through. We took the lead against Newcastle United after 21 minutes with Gray scoring from 20 yards out, with the help of a deflection. We doubled just a minute later with great passing down the left, Hojlund played low into the box and Gyokeres finished. Watson nearly scored a wonder goal near the end, dribbled for half the pitch but where should have slotted in, he hit it straight at the 'keeper, unlucky! Another win this month where we've scored two quick goals. What a month. It's still very tight at the top, a run of a couple of bad results could change everything. Carabao Cup I played some youth player so it was a good win, MacDonald should have scored his first Rotherham goal at the age of 16 but it didn't hit it well enough and the 'keeper saved. Hubana just minutes after gave us the win. I gave my 3rd GK his debut aswell. Difficult task but they're not playing well. Champions League Gyokeres scored in 18 seconds! Sadly the record on my save for quickest Champions League goal is 9! FA Cup Draw Atleast I can play some youth. Youth intake Not a good intake this year sadly. Golden Boy He's very good at what he does, he isn't the Pressing Forward I would like him to be, but he's got a great strike on him and he loves playing in the Champions League. Transfer Budget increase I've spent 16mil of it already . Conteh, the youth England striker from Stoke finally made his move here, he's been loaned back at, I don't need him to be trained at club, I need him to play football. Next Month Hopefully we keep our form going as we do love the December + January run. I'm not sure if we'll see movement, if Al-Ahli want Gyokeres, they're going to have to pay big for him. Boxall has interest from clubs but I'd rather not sell, especially to another English club.
SpillBlood
January What a month, we've been fantastic. We won a penalty against Brighton after 11 minutes. Gyokeres steupped up and hit in the top corner after 13 minutes, so glad he's so much better from the spot this season. Becerra made it 2 after 36 minutes, van den Berg has collected a loose ball after Brighton cleared a freekick, layed off Becerra and he's hit in low. What looked like a good tackle to me! Brighton have a pen of their own after Livramento tackled too hard, Joao Perdo took and sent Kovar the other way to pull one back after 42 minutes. Lopez made it 3 after 45 minutes, Gamal his a lovely ball over, Lopez took it down nicely and slotted low. Trilli on a sub made it 4! Juliao played it out right, he's cut inside and brilliantly hit past the 'keeper after 75 minutes. We dominated for 90 minutes, brilliant. Gyokeres gave us the lead after 19 minutes against Wolves. Miley layed off a freekick to him, he took a touch to collect it in his feet and then rifled it into the bottom corner. We scored another two goals in the game but they were both offside. An easy victory in the end. We're without Livramento, Flores, Lopez and Phillips for this as they're all injured. Hubana and my 16 year old striker MacDonald are both on the bench against Forest. It took 2 minutes to win a penalty as Juliao was brought down, Gyokeres stepped up.. and Turner saved! Juliao opened the scoring though in just the 5 minutes, Becerra pulled it back to Miley who crossed across goal and Juliao smashed in. Gyokeres made it 2 after 22 minutes, he picked up a loose ball in the Forest box and hit in. Hojlund made it 3 after 49 minutes, Juliao intercepted Cirkins pass, played through Hojlund and he slotted in. Another easy victory in a match we dominated. Gyokeres is in the form of his life. Carabao Cup Chelsea were absolutely awful, hopefully it means we're through to the final. FA Cup I brought on my new youth striker for his debut aswell. What a freekick from Hubana, it was brilliant. Mad to read Madley was biased towards Rotherham . Up next is Hull, a team we should really beat. Champions League 2 goals within the first 2 minutes, we were a class apart. Wolfsburg had just beat Manchester United and were on a high. With our tired players and injuries, I was happy with a draw. The draw was enough to "top the league". Deadline Day I didn't do any more business apart from sending out players on loan. We're in a very good position. The two purchases: I love the name "Bojan Mitrovic". I hope he becomes class. Future England striker. Update on some on my youth players I have 3 players home at club now and two of them are world class. First up is Gamal, my starting DM and he's probably the worst of the 3! We have Juliao, who can still improve. Gavi is transfer listed but my scouts said nah, Juliao is better. And Becerra who has for some reason declined slightly, he's class, I know he's lost a point in dribbling. Flores will be next to be HG. The Golden Boy winner. And 3 I signed and refuse to loan out as I want to give them game time and to be grown at club. Tremble is coming along well, future England CB for sure. I'll be looking to move Watson on in the summer as Phillips is already replacing him. He only arrived in the summer but he's been really decent when I've played him. If we can keep him fit, he'll become world class. Next Month Hopefully keep our form going but we could do with a small break, atleast I can rotate against Chelsea with the lead we have. We have 5 games in 15 days, we have alot of tired players. Edited February 16 by SpillBlood
SpillBlood
Cup Final Day 3 of my main CBs are out. Vivian and Bitshiabu are injured, Kossounou can only make it to the bench with food poisoning. On the flip side, Foden is injured, their main GK Meslier is cup tied and Haaland is jaded and in need of rest. I'm not sure starting Tremble is the best idea against City and I think the physical stats of Archie Brown at LCB will help. The line ups: I do expect a City win here. I have the highlights for this one on key rather than comprehensive City kick off the first half. 22nd minute: Gvardiol throws in a poor ball, Gamal steals, sends a wide cross over, it isn't the best, Becerra collects and fires way over. 25th minute: City attack with pace, Haaland strikes and Kovar gets over to deny for a corner. Roony takes, Kovar collects. 38th minute: Miley swings in the corner, Brown heads in! 1 - 0 to the Millers! 40th minute: Miley plays the ball out wide to Livramento, he whips in a low ball to Gyokeres, his deflected pass falls kindly to Miley who strikes in! 2 - 0 to the Millers!!! We kick off the second half, I forgot to grab a half time screenshot! 59th minute: Good quick passing from City, Haaland is in on the left side of the area but Kovar makes a huge save and it's out for a corner. Roony takes and Kovar takes. 61st minute: Becerra is fouled, is it a penalty or a freekick? It's a penalty to Rotherham! Gyokeres steps up and it's past Spike Brits! 3 - 0!!! 72nd minute: It was nearly 4! Gamal hit it out left to Becerra, he plays a ball to Hojlund, he hits in from a tight angle, it's saved, lands to Miley and Lewis blocks for a corner. Miley takes, Brits collects. 10 minutes to go, making 4 subs. Trili, Tremble, Gray and Boxall on for Livramento, Becerra, Miley and Juliao. 82nd minute: It is 4! Trilli throws in to Gray, back to Trilli, he plays it back to Gray who's running into the box, he dribbles out to give him an angle to shoot past Brits! 88th minute: Final change for us as Watson replaces Gamal. 93rd minute: It's 5 - 0! A brilliant counter, Gray dribbles, to Boxall, he plays in Hojlund who hits past Brits! This isn't the first time we've smashed City with Brits in goal . WE'RE THE CARABAO CUP WINNERS! What a fantastic win! It was my fourth Carabao Cup final and the second we've won! Getting revenge on City as they beat us in the final last year! SpillBlood
February What an incredible month. Considering the injuries we've had, absolutely brilliant. Another positive is Gyokeres has agreed to extend his contract, he is getting on and had his head turned by Al-Ahli but his form is incredible and he plays so well with Hojlund. In league games Gyokeres has 19 goals, in 20 apps, 3 sub apps Hojlund has 11. Oh and Pitchford who is on loan at Bournemouth, is also on 11 for the team in 16th, I think he'll be replacing Lopez here next year. Anyway, onto the football. We scored early against Southamtpon, Livramento crossed, Kelleher came out but Hojlund beat him to the ball to head in after 4 minutes. Gyokeres made it 2 after 24, Brown crossed, Gray headed, Kelleher spilled it and Gyokeres hit in the loose ball after 24 minutes. Archie Brown headed in Boxall's corner after 30 minutes to make it 3. It was a good win, Southampton had a couple of chances but we were by far the better team, helped by Kelleher. We're about to hit a run of games without Vivian who's out for 2 - 4 weeks and Bitshiabu who's out for 5 - 8 week, it could be costly. We're also without van den Berg against West Ham, he's on the bench but not fit enough to start. West Ham had chances but we took the lead, some good football down the right between Gray and Livramento, Livramento has crossed low and Gyokeres smashed in after 15 minutes. WHAT A HIT!!! Livramento makes it 2. Corner swung in, it's headed out, he picks it up and smashes it into the top corner on his weaker foot after 22 minutes, the 'keeper had no chance. It was a solid win, Tremble played really well at CB and Livramento was class. West Ham have scored the 2nd most goals in the league so keeping a clean sheet was another plus. Brentford took the lead after 28 minutes from the spot, I actually can't tell what a penalty was given for. I had to make subs at half time, some players were playing well below what I expect, especially against bottom of the league. Miley equalised after 53 minutes, hitting in after a quality ball through from Gamal. Gyokeres put us 2 up after 60 minutes, Gray played him through, he's shot and it's deflected off the defenders foot into the back of the net. We went down to 10 in the 94th minute as Miley was injured. It was a deserved victory according to the game but I think we could have played better. We should have taken an early lead against Bournemouth, we played some brilliant football and Boxall was in but he smashed it off the bar. Boxall gave us the lead after 23 minutes, Gamal intercepted Kluivert's pass, we countered, Gyokeres slid through Boxall who made his 2nd big chance count. It was 2 after 36 minutes, Livramento played it to Julio in the box, his pass didn't make it to Gyokeres as it was blocked by Sensei, who then smashed it out only to hit Kerkez, the ball landed to Hojlund to smash in. I'd be raging if that happened to us! Talk about lucky ! Somehow Juliao has an assist and it was a "sensational bit of play". Now that is something you don't see everyday, Livramento threw in, Juliao crossed, Becerra lost his man and in acres of space my 5ft'4 LWB headed in and made it 3 after 39 minutes. It was a great win in the end, we had a few more chances but beating Bournemouth with a clean sheet is good enough for me. And it's still going My team is honestly playing just that good, we have some class players, we do have some big games coming up that could end our streak. Well deserved for Livramento, he's been class. I'd just mentioned Pitchford above and he's got young player of the month, definitely needs to be here next year. Three in a row for me. Carabao Cup See above post . FA Cup Flores on his return to fitness missed some big chances, we should have scored more but a win is a win. Next Month Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and City, Champ League games, an FA Cup Quarter Final and to end the month with a rival game. This is as hard as they get, if we could out undefeated, I'll be amazed.
SpillBlood
March Our first league defeat of the season and a poor away game at Ajex spurred us on and we were brilliant for the rest of the month. Not the best first half away at Liverpool, an clearly offside goal for us and two yellow cards, apart from that we did nothing but neither did Liverpool. Brown on a sub headed in Mileys corner after 62 minutes. Liverpool equalised after some quick passing, Jones played through Echeverri who slotted in after 70 minutes. Kovar made a big save to deny Echeverri from getting a brace. Liverpool take the lead through some luck, I thought Diaz was miles offside. A ball over the top found Diaz, he's hit it, Kovar has saved and Echeverri is there to tap into an empty net after 78 minutes. We have been so poor, after such amazing form, I can't believe what I'm watching. We equalised but Hojlund was offside, he really was. We were terrible compared to our normal selves, too confident maybe? It was actually our first ever loss against Liverpool! We took the lead against Chelsea after 38 minutes. Watson played to Gray, who turned, dribbled and blasted past Trubin. We doubled out lead after 60 minutes, a brilliant run down the right by Livramento, he crossed it in, Enzo collected, Hojlund tackled, Chelsea fumbled the clearence and Boxall hammered it in. A game we dominated, with the class Chelsea has, they didn't have a shot on target. We could have scored more, much much better then the Liverpool defeat. We gave away an early penalty against City as Miley tripped Kone. Haaland stepped up and Kovar saved! City went close again after a player I was looking at in the summer in Eliseese Ben Seghir dribbled into the box and smashed the bar. We had some good chances ourselves but we went in level. Juliao should have put us infront but his shot was well wide! What a finish from Hojlund who put us ahead after 70 minutes! It all comes from a City freekick, it hits the wall, Theate collects, dribbles half way down the pitch and passes back to Becerra, he plays it to Miley, he plays it to Hojund who dribbles into the box and slots low, that took precision! Lopez came off the bench to make it 2 - 0. Becerra dribbled down the left, crossed in and Lopez headed past Meslier. We nearly scored an O.G that Kovar stopped and then saved the follow up! It's 3, a HUGE mistake from Meslier! He has the ball on the edge of his box, he's just not doing anything with it, Hojlund closes him down, steals it off him, dribbles round and hits into the empty net. In reality it was a close game, our defense was solid and we finished our chances. We took the lead against Leeds after 14 minutes. Leeds headed a cross out, Livramento collected, crossed low and Juliao hit in. Oof, that's a nice hit and our 2nd goal. After some good passing, Becerra hit a low strike from 20 yards out that hit the post and went in. We had more chances but so did Leeds! Kossounou cleared what looked like a Leeds goal off the line after 80 minutes! A mistake at the back from Leeds saw us take a 3 - 0 lead though. Brown crossed low, Vandevoordt pushed it instead of collected it and Flores hit it into the empty net after 92 minutes. Solid win to end the month. Flying high at the top and it's 3 Rotherham players that make up the top 3 average rating! FA Cup Brilliant win. TIme to get revenge on Liverpool! Champions League Our finishing was poor, Gray came off the bench to rescue a draw. Much better at home. The only team I didn't want to draw, this is going to be hard to beat! Big injury Probably the biggest prospect at the club is out for 6 months, hopefully he can recover from this. Youth intake Not good this year, I think Moreira has higher stars then he should because we don't use wingers. He's either footed and doesn't have the pace to play out wide, he should be in the middle of the pitch. I'll try retrain but I don't think he'll make it here. Top 50 Wonderkids 5 Millers and 4 of them in the top 10 . Young is the only 17 year old in the list and just made his Scotland debut! Here is the winner: Already capped for Spain, he'd cost 81mil and I don't think he's my type of player, 10 strength in defense, no thanks. Next Month Spurs and United both away in the space of 3 days, we'll be lucky to win either of those. We can try our best, that's some good teams and the cups have priority we our 12 point lead at the top. Finally winning the FA Cup after 3 final losses would be the dream . SpillBlood
We have Arsenal to play next, if they win then it's only a 6 point gap but we have a game in hand. It really is ours to lose though. If we win, we'll be 12 points clear and it's really ours. Needs to play more football to be called up. He's a good player, he'll be playing more next season but considering Gray, Miley and Livramento can't get in the England squad and Gray can play DM, that's really odd to read. England actually play 4 - 4 - 2 so that's even more odd to read. Edited February 17 by SpillBlood
SpillBlood
April Good enough in the Prem and FA Cup, not good enough at home in the Champs League. My computer crashed so I lost everything I wrote up! The Spurs game was really a nothing game, the difference came when Gamal took a freekick, Spurs goalkeeper Chevalier should have caught but spilled the ball, Livramento was charging in and hit the ball into the open net. That was the difference. Perhaps we were the better side against Manchester United but I'd rotated heavily due to the Real Madrid games, they scored twice but they were both massively offside and I'm happy to take an away draw. Gyokeres ended his goal drought against Fulham after 44 seconds, heading in a lovely cross from Hojlund. Gray doubled after 35 minutes, Gray was running into space, Trilli his through a lovely through ball and Gray who was onside slot in. That was the game, we had chances and you can see why Fulham are bottom. Thankfully I save the game often so I didn't lose any games. Miley put us ahead after 8 minutes against Arsenal. Arsenal just didn't defend well enough and then Havertz played a poor pass which let Miley strike at goal. That's 2 after 20 minutes with another mistake at the back from Arsenal. Ramsdale rolled it out to Todibo who dwelled on the ball, Gyokeres took it off him, ran into the box and hit in. That was it, two mistakes at the back from Arsenal gave us a huge win and 30 games in a row undeafted at the New York. We can beat Citys record points if we win the rest of our games. Look at West Ham! They have some good players. We've been given our budget already for next season, I have no idea where I even need to strenghten. Champions League Seems I forgot to take a pic of the 2 - 2 draw. Miley gave us an early lead but a mistake from Miley saw Rodygro steal and put in, Miley then put us back ahead. We had chances but Vini Jr equalised for Real. Flores should have really put us ahead but missed his chance and I knew we'd struggle away. We had a couple of chances but Real played us off the park in reality. FA Cup We battered them, the error from Trent was a howler. We've beat them once in a final this season, why not again? Youth upgrades-ish. But still refuses to improve youth facilities! Award? 4 Millers Next Month Give me that FA Cup! SpillBlood
FA Cup Final 4th time lucky? Manchester City are currently without a manager but I'm sure I've lost to an intermin before . The line ups: Foden is injured but that's one heck of a squad! We've beat them twice this season, we can beat them again! Rotherham kick off. 5th minute: Some great passing from us, there's space for Juliao to shoot from the edge of the box and Meslier denies and it's a corner. Miley takes and it's headed out. 6th minute: Close again from Juliao. Livramento throws in to him, he plays a one two, dribbles into the box but fires wide. 8th minute: Juliao scores this time! Some dodgy passing from both teams but also some great interceptions. Livramento steals, dribbles down the right, past his man, shoots, Meslier saves and Juliao heads into an empty net! 1 - 0! 35th minute: Juliao who's only just back from injury and is having a great game is forced off. Gray replaces. Half time. That's a good first half from us! Second half. City kick off. 58th minute: Becerra throws to Miley, he cuts in, dribbles and shoots and Meslier saves and it's out for a corner. Miley takes and Kossounou heads but enough power and Meslier takes. 63rd minute: Great football and a great counter from Rotherham but Gyokeres is offside or we'd have a 2nd. 68th minute: So close! Brilliant football from the Millers, it's passed into the box but Gray hits over. 78th minute: City cross but Kovar takes. It's a battle but we manage to find the final bass, Gray shoots but it's over. Miley is being replaced by Boxall and Lopez is coming on for Gyokeres. We have some tired legs but they're playing too well. 83rd minute: What a save! Livramento throws to Boxall, he plays it back, Livramento dribbles into the box, shoots and Meslier gets a hand to it and forces a corner. Boxall takes and it's headed out. Gamal collects, plays it to Gray and this time he makes it count! It's 2 - 0 to the Millers! Trilli and Brown are placing Becerra and Livramento for the final 5 minutes + AT. 89th minute: Lopez is injured and I have no subs left, he's going to have to hobble around. 91st minute: Gamal strikes and hits the post! So close to a 3rd! IT'S ALL OVER. A MATCH WE DOMINATED AND.... WE'VE FINALLY WON THE FA CUP!!!! DOMESTIC TREBLE!!! Look at that xG, we battered them! Gamal was superb at DM! Manchester City's League Points Record After our loss to Newcastle, we can't beat it. Close again but 98 is the max we can get. MacDonald scored! I rotated heavily and we absolutely smashed Everton. Then my 16 year old striker who can play MC, AMC and ST now popped up with his first goal. It's things like this that make the game great . SpillBlood
End of Season That's pretty cool Trilli is "late developer". He's a good backup. Awards Gyokeres was on fire this season, not sure he'll stay though as Saudi clubs are interested again. Records made to be broken. That's incredible from Norwich, well played. I have no idea how this window will go. I'm not sure where to improve apart from I'd replace Vivian but I don't think clubs would pay for him. We'll see. It's been an amazing season, we finally won the FA Cup, I want to try and get 5 Prem wins in a row and beat City's record points but that one could take a few seasons. I have no interest in starting a new save until the new patch is out and I might try my luck from the bottom tier but the good times at the NYS will keep going. I mean, I want to be playing this save until we actually build a new stadium! Look how many people are waiting on a season ticket . SpillBlood
Season 8 - 2030/2031 As always, my assistant manages my friendly matches as I went through looking at players but finding a better player that isn't going to cost silly money or silly wages? It doesn't seem to be happening. The squad: Goalkeepers: Kovar is #1 and is honestly one of the best in the world, the only upgrade I can see is Diogo Costa and he isn't that big of an upgrade for the cost or wage. Robeldo is my backup and is #1 for Chile. Martinez has higher potential it seems than Robeldo but is my 3rd GK. Defenders: My RWB is Livramento with Trilli as backup. My LWB is Becerra with Brown as backup. I have 4 main CBs in Theate, Bitshiabu, Vivian and Kossounou. Critsian Romero was listed at Spurs, he wants to play in the Champs League, I did go in for him and managed to get him down to £350k a week which still seemed too high for me, he has a couple of bad things about it but he also has some class and he's probably in the top 5 CBs in the world on my save and would have fit right in the middle. Man United bid for him, he came back saying give him this bit extra in £375k and these promises and he'll sign, I said no and he went Man United for £475k a week. Just feels paying £125k more than any of my other players messes up the wage structure I have and may cause issues when want new contracts and when my CBs had the best defensive record last year, shelling money out like that seems silly. I have van den Berg tied down to a new contract as he's happy to be a squad player, I felt signing Romeo may impact Tremble's game time as he's a future star. Lele is a future RWB, Gnahore could be a good CB in the future and Tapia could be just a good wing back either side. Kimble is an English fullback I've just signed, hopefully in a couple of years will replace Trilli. Gamal is my DM, he ain't no CB . Phillips is also my backup DM! Midfielders: My DMs are above. Juliao is World Class now and Miley will start next to him. Gray has been great and Boxall is another one that deserves to be here. Young is the CM with the potential. I'd love to buy Gabri Veiga, he looks perfect for my club, not the best personality in balanced but I also don't need another CM with the lot I have. They play well together and I'm happy with them. Sostik is one for the future, he needs to play to develop. Strikers: Pitchford/Gyokeres will play next to Hojlund. Flores is backup and Mitrovic and Hubana are future strikers, espedcially Hubana. MacDonald and Conteh will spend a couple of years out on loan playing football. Facilities Upgrade! It finally happened and the board came to me! About time! Backroom I had to make a couple of chances with retiring staff and we'd lost having the best goalkeeper distrubiton training in the league. I made changes for that and we're looking very good. The only way for me upgrade really is to try and sign the newgen staff that have incredible stats, they just want far too much money, £40k a week on a coach? That's more than I'm on! Maybe Phillips was called up for a reason. Pitchford and Phillips are World Cup winners . England beat Belgium on penalties. Stature Increase 5th best club in the world, or pretty much. We really need that new stadium. Signing of the 2029/2030 Season This came through a little later than normal, Livramento was brilliant. Transfers... so far. So my board want me to use atleast the money they gave me. I have a full squad, I can't improve without selling, no one can afford or really want the players I'd part with. Also out: I feel like I'm pretty much done already unless I can find more youth players which doesn't seem to be possible. Ercan for £20mil was a great. He is actually a Rotherham youth product but he was never going to make it here, he's developed through loans abroad and it's boosted his value. Lopez is great but with Pitchford back, I don't need him. Petersen wasn't needed, I can't see him developing anymore. I'd rather play other youth in the positions he could play. Watson was a great servant to the club but that's silly money for him and I'd rather give Phillips the game time. The rest I've loaned out for game time. Kimble is my only purchase, a youth CB/RWB for the future. I've tied most of my squad down to longer contracts, we're in a great position and I don't see the need to bring in a big money signings. Heck, the biggest "signing" was my loan striker coming back. Look at his physical stats And we know he can score goals, he's a massive reason Bournemouth stayed up last year. Season Start We start with what is hopefully a cup win, some tough games and we'll see if I need to bring in any more players. SpillBlood
Community Shield Arsenal are a tough team to beat but we can win here. We've been in the Community Shield 3 times and won all 3. Can we make it 4 out of 4? The line ups: Both teams are going for it with those starting 11's. Arsenal kick off the first half. 3rd minute: That's some great passing and movement from the Millers. Becerra plays it into Hojlund and Ramsdale has to make a big save. Pitchford takes the corner and it's headed out. 6th minute: Odegaard takes a corner for Arsenal and Havertz heads in. 1 - 0 to the Gunners. 17th minute: Arsenal we defending well, Hojlund has a chance but he's offside. 30th minute: Livramento has a knock so Trilli replaces. 34th minute: Juliao wins the ball back, Kossounou hits it long and finds Pitchford, he hits it past Ramsdale and it's 1 - 1. It's a debut goal! 37th minute: Big chance for Hojlund but he hits wide. It's half time and I'm not sure how we're not winning. We kick off the second half. 50th minute: A last ditch effort see's a huge block to deny Hojlund, Arsenal try and counter but we deal with it. 59th minute: Tomiyasu blocks a great effort from Pitchford and we win a corner. Pitchford takes and we win another. Pitchford again and it's headed out. 62nd minute: Gray and Flores are replacing Miley and Hojlund, Hojlund is on a 6.1 . Too many missed chances. 72nd minute: Theate and Boxall come on to hopefully make the difference. Juliao and Bitshaibu make way. 72nd minute: A quick counter from the Millers, Flores plays it through to Pitchford who dribbles all the way down and Ramsdale makes a huge save to deny. 76th minute: Phillips replaces Gamal. Can we win this game? 92nd minute: A very poor pass from Phillips and Arsenal counter, Kovar makes a huge save and Arsenal win a corner. Odegaard takes and we Phillips clears. How on earth is this pens, we've been by far the better team. Will Hojlund's misses be the difference? We do not have good penalty takers. Arsenal take first. Nkunku... Kovar saves! Flores... bottom corner! Odegaard... KOVAR SAVES! Becerra... smashed in! Martinelli... sent Kovar the wrong way. Gray... it's down the middleish! Joao Neves... off the post... and in! Vivian... it's slotted low and in and we've won! 4 Community Shields in a row!
SpillBlood
August We start the season away at Spurs which is not the easiest of games. Spurs took the lead after 29 minutes, Pedrola cut in, dribbled past his man and hit across goal for Kuluvsevki to finish. Gyokeres came off the bench to equalise after 63 minutes, Miley collected a loose ball after Phillips had been tackled, chipped over to Livramento who headed on and Gyokeres volleyed in. We made it 2 in the 85th minute, Bitshiabu headed in Pitchford's corner. That was a game of two halves, Spurs better first, we were much better second. Manchester City have a manager this time compared to last years FA Cup Final, Diego Simeone is in charge. Will he be the one to lead City to a Premiership title win they haven't won it since 2023/2024? They did win 4 in a row like we've just done. A brilliant counter attack saw us take the lead in the 41st minute. City have passed round the back then attacked down the left, Becerra cleared, Pitchford picked up and played it back to Theate, he's dribbled forward, played it to Juliao, he's been patient and then played a fantastic ball through to Gyokeres who squared it to Pitchford to hit into an open goal. City should have equalised but Haaland is offside, the best striker in the world should be making a better run then that! We made it 2 after 55 minutes with some superb passing! Becerra threw in, Miley, Gamal and Becerra have passed around the left, Becerra then plays it through to Miley who's made a run it, he's chipped it to Juliao who volleyed in. So close to 3! More brilliant passing but our end result is the post! I actually really dislike the way Manchester City are taking freekicks, it leaves them open to pressing teams with the way they pass round the back between CBs and DM in such a compact space. Great win, we were the better side, City did have one good chance but Kovar made a good save. Foden slotted straight into the first 11 against Everton. It took 3 minutes for him to assist on his debut, Kossounou heading in his corner. We doubled in the 64th minute after Pitchford finished off a good move after Hojlund has played it across goal for him to hit in. Hojlund made it 3 after 82 minutes, Miley hit a long shot, it's smashed the post and Hojlund was there to hit in. He got himself a brace after a long ball from Theate, Pitchford dribbled down and played it across goal for Hojlund to hit in. We were class! 4.30xG! A rival game at home to Leeds. We took the lead after 13 minutes, Phillips scoring his first Rotherham goal after hitting a curling effort from outside the box. Leeds equalised after 58 after a freekick, Sinisterra passted it Prout, he took on his man and hit past Kovar. Pitchford equalised just 2 minutes later though, Foden hit in a freekick, Kossounou headed back for the charging Pitchford to hit in after 60 minutes. Foden made it 3 after 76 minutes, Gray passed a freekick to Flores, he's passed back, Gray played it down the left to Foden, he picked it up and hit it in. Nice win! Carabao Cup Draw Would of liked an easier draw! Champions League Draw Some difficult fixtures. Atletico, Inter and PSG. We'll give it our best! Deadline Day Okay so I've tied all my players down to new contracts, I wasn't planning on bringing in any other players and then Diego Simeone signed the CM I was half tempted by and put.... Phil Foden up for transfer... How could I not!? Yes, the wages are ALOT, so much more than I'd like to pay for a player but he's absolutely world class, fits straight into the LCM slot of my tactic, has better corners and free kick taking than anyone else. It's a HUGE signing. Torino shocked me! But they did spend 34mil on Lopez from me. Our wages are increasing but our team is amazing. Next Month That run! Inter, Arsenal, Atletico and Manchester United! We'll have to be at our best!
SpillBlood
September Not the best month, atleast we recovered at the end. I'm not sure how we didn't win against Brighton. We had an xG of 2.41 and their GK Peretz ended on an 8.4 rating. It was like they had a brick wall in goal . Arsenal took the lead after 2 minutes, Kossounou came rushing out and Martinelli beat him in the air, the ball was free to be hit in by Jesus. We equalised after 7, what an absolutely incredible ball over by Hojlund, Pitchford picks up and slots in. Awful defending from the Millers, Zincheko hits across goal, none of the back 3 defend it and Nwaneri hits in at the back post after 39 minutes. That was not good enough, especially at home. Boxall has been moaning for more football since Foden joined so I started him, he missed a huge chance to give us the lead . Becerra and Foden are both tired after the Atletico game but they start against Man Utd, they'd played well down the left together, Becerra had been out injured and you can tell the difference. We took the lead after 6 minutes! Foden it tackled but the ball rolls to Gamal, he chip passes to Pitchford who volleys in! What a start! We won a penalty just before the break, someone was pushed when we crossed in? I didn't really see, Foden buried it to make it 2 after 44 minutes but the tired players need to be replaced. Brown came off the bench and made it 3! Boxall crossed in, Brown runs in unmarked to head home. What a close game, we literally just took our chances. It's close at the top! Carabao Cup Chelsea were good but we held on and snuck it on pens. Even though we're away, that's a good draw, we should win. Champions League We didn't react well after Phillips was sent off. It was a close game aswell. One moment of quality from Becerra and Foden was the difference, such a tight game. International Debut My 20 year old DM/MC who is out on loan at Plymouth made his Croatia debut, didn't think he was nearly good enough but I thought that about Phillips . Next Month Hopefully we can beat Brighton this time, weird we're playing them again already. Hopefully we can beat Liverpool as we're home and Newcastle away is tough. We should win both cup games.
SpillBlood
October We gotta put our chances away! We're really not doing as well infront of goal. I'm hoping we can get a win against Brighton this time after we battered them last month and ended up in a scoreless draw. We took the lead after 66 minutes, my LCB Bitshiabu dribbled into their half and played a quality through ball to Gyokeres who slotted in. Trilli made it 2 after 74 minutes, good passing down the right, Trilli played a ball down to Juliao, he turns, passes back to the rushing in Trilli who hit in. Bitshiabu made it 3 after 87 minutes, Flores hit in a corner, Bitshiabu headed, Peterz saved but only to Bitshiabu to hit in the rebound. Much better in the last 30 minutes, Brighton had good spells and it was a close game until then. We were close to taking an early lead against Liverpool, some great passing from the Millers and from a tight angle Juliao hit it but it's the post and out! Liverpool take the lead after 16 minutes with some luck, Frimpong shoots, it hits my defenders and bounces straight into of Echeverri to poke in. We equalised in the 28th minute, Konate cleared, Vivian won the header, Foden passed it out to Becerra who played it into Hojlund in the box to hit in. HOW DID HE MISS. I gave Gyokeres a start I thought he deserved, a huge mistake at the back from Liverpool, a flicked header went wrong and Gyokeres is in and the goalkeeper is out of positon. Dives down and saves Gyokeres' shot. He had a million options and took the wrong one. He's there again after 69 minutes! Liverpool hit in a corner, it's not headed out properly, it's played to Yemery, he shoots, Kovar saves and it's Echeverri there to nod in. 4 goals in 2 games against us, it's like he's an magnet. It's a late equaliser from the Millers! Miley hits in a corner and Bitshiabu heads in! I'll take that draw! He's our best goal scorer at the moment and he's a CB! We took the lead against Newcastle after 50 minutes. Foden hit in a freekick, Bitshiabu headeded it, the goalkeeper saved and he hit in the rebound. We made it 2 after 55 minutes, Foden played it to Pitchford, he's played a ball to Juliao who's hit it from outside the box, Grabara got a hand but it's still in! Newcastle pull one back after 64 minutes, it's a strong tackle from Becerra but the ball falls kindly to Reinier, he passes to Chotard who hits in. He's gone from hero to zero, Bitshiabu plays an awful pass to Isak who dribbles down and equalises after 91 minutes. We had so many chances to win that game, we're really struggling putting our chances away compared to last season. City can overtake us at the summit. Need to turn the draws into wins. Carabao Cup 6 clear cut chances, 7 half chances and only a 2 - 0 win. We gotta do better infront of goal. That's a difficult draw but atleast we're at home. Champions League We were brilliant, Banik Ostrava didn't have a shot on target. World Golden Glove G'wan Kovar , Next Month We need this to be a green month. West Ham are a brilliant side but we're at home and should be winning.
SpillBlood
November Incredible month, just brilliant. Scored 17 and conceded 2 in 4 games . We took an early lead against Sheffield United. Pitchford played it to Foden who hit it first time to Juliao who smashed it in from outside the box, a brilliant hit! We made it 2 just before the break. Foden hit in a corner, it's cleared, Juliao intercepts, played it to Foden who hits across goal where Hojlund beats the keeper to slot in Sheff Utd pull one back afteer 49 minutes. Ex-Miller Watson hits a long ball and Fontan volleys in, that was a good goal. We made it 3 after 55 though. Foden hits in the corner, Kossounou heads out to Juliao, he plays to Pitchford who hits into the bottom corner. Pitchford made it 4 after 90 minutes. Gray won the ball, played it to Juliao, Hojlund then played a quality through ball to Pitchford who hit in. If he didn't miss a sitter earlier Pitchford would of had a hat-trick! Great win, much better football. We took the lead against Chelsea after some pinball in the box! Foden hit in a freekick, Kossounou headed back across goal, Trubin saved, it's hit by Bitshiabu but blocked, Caicedo doesn't clear, Hojlund steals and puts it in after 16 minutes. HUGE mistake gives us another goal 2 minutes later! Trubin passes out to Colwill, Hojlund pressed and steals it, he shoots and Trubin can't get to it. It's him again, Bitshiabu heads in Fodens corner to make it 3 after 28 minutes! Kossounou makes it 4 after 36! Gamal hits in a freekick and Kossounou heads in! What a superb first half!!! Bitshiabu makes it 5 and his brace! Heading in Gamal's corner after 51 minutes! A huge mistake at our end and Chelsea pull one back in the 81st minute! Caicedo crosses, Kovar "coughed up the ball" and Ferguson hits in! The game is saying Becerra made a mistake yet Kovar fumbled the ball! Huge win, brilliant infront of goal, shame we conceded. Brilliant start against Villa! Foden hits a lovely ball from the left to Gamal, he plays to Juliao, Juliao plays it back and Gamal hits it in after 8 minutes. Huge luck but we're 2 up after 15! Good passing, Gamal shoots, it deflects straight to Becerra who hits into the corner. It's 3 after 16 minutes! Great passing, lovely ball from Gamal through to Hojlund who takes one touch to set himself up and another to smash it in. 45+3 and we win a penalty! Foden steps up and it crashes against the bar! Villa haven't had a single shot at home in the first half!!! Nothing to note in the second half but we were brilliant. That may have been Gamal's best game in a Rotherham shirt! We're the 3rd best team in the form table vs West Ham who are 2nd in the form table. It's gonna be a close game! We took the lead after 46 seconds through a fluke. Foden hit a low freekick to Becerra, he was blocked, Hojlund picks up and then mishits hit, Caron then mishits it, Chalobah doesn't collect and Kossounou has an open net to hit it in! It's 2 after 13 minutes, Vivian dribbles down the right, crosses a low ball which Henderson palms straight to Juliao to hit in. It's 3 after 28 minutes, Gamal hits in a corner, it's headed out, Foden collects, waits until Gamal is onside, plays it to him, Gamal crosses and Hojlund heads in. It's 4 after 34 minutes, Bitshiabu dribbles down the left, hit's a cross, it takes a little deflection, Foden runs in and hits past Henderson. It's 5 after 38 minutes, good passing down the right, Livramento plays a through ball to Juliao hits it across the goal mouth, Chalobah blocks Hojlund but it comes off Hojlund for Pitchford to hit into the net. What a first half! Shame the second half was quiet. City are still straight behind us. Difference is we have an 8 game December, they have a 9 game. Champions League The Monaco game was so close, I had to bring on my key players who I was resting. A mistake at the back from Monaco was what gave us the chance for Foden to hit in 30 yards into an open net. Top 50 Players We have #10. Buying the 10th best player in the World for Rotherham seems absolutely crazy . Next Month We do love a December and January run and that's quite an easy league run. The cup games are very difficult though!
SpillBlood
December We love these winter months and this could be the best one yet!!! 20 league goals in 6 games, 0 conceded. Away at Bournemouth. They do like an upset against us but we should be winning this. What a goal, 2 minutes in and Foden played a one two with Kossounou, dribbled through the middle and curled it into the bottom corner. It's 2 after 13 minutes, Becerra crossed, Juliao went for it(the 5'5 MC) Dahlberg dropped it and Pitchford hit into the empty net. It's 3 after 22 minutes! Juliao corssed, Aarons missed his header, Becerra shot, Aarons didn't block that either and it's in the bottom corner. Oh what a goal, we're in such incredible form at the moment. Gamal has played a one-two with Hojlund and then curled into the bottom corner from 20 yards after 40 minutes. Gyokeres came off the bench and scored a brilliant solo goal after 91 minutes to make it 5. We were brilliant from start to finish, what a game. When it comes to Bournemouth, without Pitchford they'll be going down this year. This is their results from December... Anyway, back to The Millers. With the PSG game so close which I need points, I've rotated heavily for the Norwich game, they're 18 and we're at home, we should win. We took the lead after 18 minutes, Brown headed in Flores' corner. It was 2 after 67 minutes, some good passing through the middle, Miley to Hojlund and he finished off the move. Hojmund made it 3 after 83 minutes, heading in a cross from Trilli. Brilliant win, especially with a rotated squad. Hojlund only came on as Flores picked up a knock. We could of had so many more, we hit the woodwork 3 times! Another game, another early goal. Pitchford won the ball back after a corner, we played it up well, Foden hit it into the box low and Miley finished. A bad pass from Gamal, or the CB who wasn't alert but Kovar is playing well here. Just before the break though we make it 2 though it feels Leicester should of had a goal. Good play down the left, Becerra plays it to Foden who plays it across to Hojlund to hit in. That was a close game, even though we had 19 shots, 6 on target compared to 6, 4 on target from Leicester. They had some good chances, Kovar finished on 8.1 for a reason! We took the lead against Southampton after 22 minutes. Juliao played a low ball to Pitchford who hit in. Foden makes it 2 after 57 minutes after he closes down Devine in the box, steals and shoots past Kelleher. An easy victory in the end, Southampton didn't manage a shot on target. Another game, another early lead for the Millers! Good attacking pressure from us, Becerra crossed from the left and Pitchford headed in after 10 minutes. It's 2 0 after 64 minutes, Foden swings in the corner, Bitshiabu heads it and Soriano saves straight back into a thumping header from Bitshiabu. It's 3 after 72 minutes, sub van den Berg played it to another sub in Boxall. He plays it across to Pitchford who has acres of space to hit in. We went down to 10 in 92nd minute through injury, it's Bitshiabu and I hope it isn't serious. It was a very close first half but we controlled the second. It could have been even more comfortable as we hit the woodwork twice. I've had to rotate heavily against Porsmouth as we faced Man City on New Years Day but this is a match we should be winning, Pompey do not have a good team in the slightest. We took the lead after 20 minutes, Trilli crossed in and Flores headed past Walton who was in no mans land, that's some bad goalkeeping. Gyokeres make it 2 after 25 minutes, Miley plays it to Flores who plays it to Gyokeres, a brilliant first touch and Gyokeres is through and fires in with a powerful effort. Portsmouth haven't managed a shot in the the first half, there's just a huge quality difference. Brown makes it 3 after 48 minutes, heading in Flores' corner. Miley makes it 4 after some good football, Gyokeres recovers the ball following a corner, passing to van den Berg, he squares to Miley in the box who hits in. Flores makes it 5 after 72 minutes, Gyokeres intercepts Towler's pass, crosses first time and Flores heads in. It was just a massive difference in quality, Portsmouth managed 1 shot, 0 on target, we had 28, 16 on target. Flores was brilliant. We had some easy games in December whilst City didn't, we've made a nice gap at the top. Even after a month that good, we won no monthly awards! Champions League We kept PSG at bay, they didn't manage a shot on target. Our best chance and only chance really fell to Hojlund who really should have scored but a draw is still a great result. Carabao Cup The Boxall FA Cup game, two worldys, a freekick and a penalty. Probably the best performance of any player in any game i've played on FM24. And we should be able to make the final. FA Cup Draw We should be winning against Palace. Youth intake Not the best but the fullbacks and AM could be interesting. World Goalkeeper of the Year He's so good . Next Month So many games, Spurs aren't doing the best and we should be winning that, we should be winning most but away at City is a big game. We are without Bitshiabu for most of the month though and he's playing amazing so he will be missed, Theate is good enough to fill in thankfully. I think I'll be making moves in the market, my backup RWB Trilli is wanted and A.Madrid have bid for him, he's probably too good an offer to refuse and he wants to make the move as they want him for first team where he's only a squad player for me. SpillBlood
January Great month in reality, it's a shame about the FA cup loss, an even bigger shame was ending our not conceding streak in the Premiership and the fashion it happened! A big game at the top of the table, away at City who have in form Haaland, he started this game recovering from a damaged foot so I'm shocked he's in the starting eleven. We took the lead after 19 minutes. Gamal won the ball and we attacked quick, Hojlund dribbles past Debast who's lack of bravery, he doesn't commit like he should and Holjund slots past Meslier. It's an equaliser in the 93rd minute for City... City haven't had a chance all game and still haven't. Ferdi crosses the ball, Musiala is running in and Kossounou hits it into his own net, that's awful. We then lose Hojlund to injury in the 95th minute, that was a bad injury time. We took an early lead against underperforming Spurs. Becerra crossed, Kotarski came out for it and Pitchford headed past him into the open net, bad keeping. Foden is fouled and we win a penalty, he steps up and cooly sends the 'keeper the wrong way after 43 minutes. We made it 3 after 63 minutes, Livramento with a bursting run down the right, crossed across goal and Hojlund hit in. We were amazing, great win, Spurs didn't have a sniff! In the first half against Leeds we had 70% possession and only managed 1 shot on target, better than Leeds' 0. Within the first minute of the second half we have a penalty as Strujik who is already booked pushed Hojlund. Foden tucks it away after 47 minutes to give us the lead. It's 2 after 49, Hojlund heals in Livramento's cross. Easy win, Leeds had 1 shot, 0 on target at home. We're flying at the top! Carabao Cup 14 - 1 on aggregate . And we could score more in the final . Boro have the record goals conceded now aswell . A new Carabao Cup record. And our biggest win. Onto the final and we still don't know who we're playing. It's Manchester United or Liverpool. FA Cup Another record. And it's a shame it ended against City. Pitchford really should have equalised, he missed an incredible chance but it was a tight game and City got the goal. Some key players in Pitchford, Becerra and Juliao were poor. We missed Hojlund who picked up an injury against Leverkusen. Champions League Two good wins and very much needed wins to avoid playoffs. Deadline Day I didn't really want to sell Trilli but I couldn't turn down that offer. Conteh has been on loan at Sheff Utd and it had been a disaster, he needed a league below so to Hull he goes. If I knew Gem Prout was on the move, I might have been in myself! I'll pick him up in the future to replace Foden. I brought in two youth players, I feel we have enough cover to replace Trilli. Kimble can play there, van den Berg can fill in, Gamal can play at RWB and Phillips fill in a DM, we'll be fine. Besic is another future GK, 6'4 is lovely, not sure about his tendency to punch though. He was cheap and worth a risk. Quiroga is versatile and either footed, could be a good player in the future. I still think it's crazy how much Arsenal spend. Double of the wages we spend and can't win the league. Next Month Some difficult games against the top teams, hopefully we can get some points. SpillBlood
Carabao Cup Final 2031/3032 We're the current holders, winning 2 out of 4 finals i've been in. We're without Hojlund and Brown and that could be the difference. Hoping we get revenge since Liverpool just beat us 4 - 2 in the league. It seems since the league game Szoboszlai has also picked up an injury, that might help us. The line ups: Rotherham kick off the first half. 5th minute: Good passing from the Millers and Gamal unleashes a 30 yard strike that Altay has to get across to deny. We win a corner, Foden takes and it's headed out, Juliao to Gamal but he gets it all wrong and it's way way way over. 42nd minute: A poor header from Vivian and Liverpool counter, Echeverri crosses in, it's nearly an own goal by Joao Pedro makes it his and it's 1 - 0 Liverpool. 43rd minute: Gravenberch hits a long shot and it's a corner. Mendes takes and we head out. They hit it back in and Foden wins it, we counter, Becerra plays it down the left, hits in a long cross and Mendes heads a poor ball out, Juliao collects, and plays a little chip across goal that Gyokeres volleys in. 1 - 1! 45+1: Becerra steals, dribbles all the way into the box and it's a good save to deny! Gamal heads back in but Liverpool clear. It's half time. Liverpool kick off the second half. Brown is already injured so I don't have a natural replacement for Becerra who is now injured. Theate is coming on to replace and moving Bitshiabu who isn't having his best game out at LWB. At the same time, Flores is replacing Pitchford. 65th minute: Foden strikes a freekick but it's over. Bitshiabu is now injured so van den Berg is going to have to come on to play RWB and Livramento fill in at LWB! 10 minutes left, Hubana and Miley are replacing Foden and Gyokeres. We've been the better side but it's ET! Liverpool are down to 10 through injury! 98th minute: A freekick from Hubana is just over. 102nd minute: Gray is replacing Juliao. 103rd minute: Altay makes a great save to deny Hubana's freekick. 105th minute: Flores hits in the corner, it's headed out, Gray hits and it's another corner. Flores hits in again and Hubana heads over. 15 minutes to go. Come on Millers! 114th minute: Miley scores but he's offside! Should have made a better run there! We've been by far the better side but it's pens. It's Liverpool first. Mac Allister steps up... Kovar saves! Flores... top corner! Nunez... SAVED! Hubana... top corner again! Militao... SAVED!!!! Miley... it's in! WE WIN THE CARABAO CUP. KOVAR IS A CUP HERO WHO SAVED OUR BACON!!! Edited February 28 by SpillBlood
SpillBlood
February Two great wins, a win that took too long to get and a heavy defeat. Still a good month. That's a crackin' goal by Juliao to give us the lead against Arsenal. Some good passing from the Millers, Juliao plays it to Vivian, Vivian then plays a brilliant ball over the top to Juliao who smashes it past on the charging Tobiasz after 30 minutes, not the best 'keeping. Tobiasz did make a worldy save to deny Gyokeres just before the break. Foden put us 2 up after 49 minutes, good passing again from the Millers, Becerra cuts in, shoots and Tobiasz saves it straight to Foden to hit in. Hubana came on to replace the injured Gyokeres and put us 3 up after heading in a cross from Juliao after 58 minutes, that's his first Millers league goal! Oh dear! Hubana missed an absolute sitter to put us 4 ahead! I can't believe he headed it over, a little tap and he'd of scored! Arsenal managed their first shot on target after 87 minutes! And in the 88th scored with their second! Corner in, Hubana heads out, Joao Neves picks it up, skins Hubana and hits in low post Kovar. We were brilliant for most of that. Away at Arsenal with an xG of 3.26 vs 1.08. It took unil the 86th minute to finally see a goal in the game against Everton and thankfully it was a Rotherham goal. We'd had all the chances, Everton had possession but hadn't even managed a shot on target. Miley hit in a corner and it was hit out, Phillips hit it back to Miley, he hit it into the six yard box where Hubana was waiting to pounce. That's 2 in 2 for Hubana who's doing well filling in for injuries. I'm glad we won that, our xG was 2.84, Everton had an xG of 0.06. It took 34 seconds for Boxall to give us the lead against Manchester United. A poor kick out from Ugurcan, Boxall intercepted, we played some good passing and Gamal a good pass to Boxall who was running into space, he took a good first touch and then hit in. It's 2 in the space of 5 minutes, Boxall with a quality ball through to Foden who hit in first time. It's 3 - 0 after 21 minutes, a lovely ball through by Becerra found Hojlund who hit in first time. It's 4 in the 39th minute, Boxall hits in acorner, Kossounou heads it, Ugurcan spills it and Kossounou hits it in. We're 4 - 0 up at half time and Man Utd haven't had a shot on target. Manchester United pulled one back in the 54th minute with Viera heading in Mounts corner. We were brilliant, especially in that first half, Boxall only started because Juliao wasn't fit enough. Him and Foden ran the show. First against second and we're without Foden and of course our arch nemesis Echeverri starts for Liverpool. Liverpool took the lead after 4 minutes, some good passing and Kossounou intercepts the through ball but Joao Pedro takes it off him and hits in. Liverpool should be two up after a poor poor pass from Becerra, they're all over us. We win a penalty though after a low ball in, Hojlund is about to strike and is taken down! Hojlund steps up and hits past Kobel to equalise! It's 2... to Rotherham! Juliao doesn't hit the best long pass but Antonio Silva messes up his header and basically flicks it on to Pitchford, Kober comes out to close him down but he hits past and it's off the bar and in after 31 minutes! WHAT IS THIS. It's 2 - 2, Kovar passes out from a goal kick to Vivian but it's so poor from both, guess who? It's Echeverri who steals it and hits it past Kovar after 41 minutes. Huge mistake from Kovar. A poor pass from Gamal, Liverpool counter, Yemery is in and it's 3 - 2 to Liverpool. My team are not doing the best with their passing today. It's 4 - 2 to Liverpool, corner comes in, we had out, Echeverri collects and Pitchford doesn't close down, Gravenberch plays it to Joao Pedro who hits a low shot past Kovar. Make my subs and then Hojlund is injured so we're down to 10 men! We actually played well in spells finished but some bad passing and defending and that's a heavy defeat. Liverpool can be 6 points behind us but it's our league to lose here. Carabao Cup Above post . Champions League Probably the hardest draw, we've never played them before, they have some real quality players. If we can beat Barcelona, we can win the Champions League if I how I feel. Next Month Some tough games, I'm just glad our last three games are all at home.
SpillBlood
March Brilliant month. I've heavily rotated against Sheffield United, Tapia is making his Rotherham United debut at LWB. Van den Berg gave us the lead after 11 minutes, heading in Miley's corner. Hojlund doubles after 36 minutes after a quick break and a lovely ball from Gray. That's a lovely goal from Lindstrom to pull one back for Sheff Utd after 39 minutes, he's hit in a corner, we've headed out, he's picked up the ball, dribbled in, skinned Livramento and belted it past Kovar who had no chance. Now we lose Livramento to injury and youngster Kimble is on. Some magic from Foden who's on as a sub to put us 3 - 1 up, he intercepts, turns, hit's a quality long ball to Flores who takes it down brilliantly and hit's past Luiz Junior after 86 minutes. That was a good win considering the changes I had to make. More rotation against Chelsea, I have some players back but the Barcelona game is more important. Some good passing from the Millers, Vivian is out wide and crosses in, Trubin comes out and is no mans land as Miley heads the ball past him, 1 - 0 to the Millers! Good attacking from Chelsea, Vellidis plays it across goal and Ferguson hits in to make it 1 - 1 after 30 minutes. Good passing from the Millers this time, Boxall finds Brown out wide, he passes first time to Flores who hits in low to make it 2 - 1 after 48 minutes. Foden who came on as a sub is injured, that's a big loss against Barcelona. Chelsea looked to have equalised in the 92nd minute but there had to be multiple offside players there! We held on for a good away win. Kovar has food poisoning and will miss the Villa game, let's see if Robledo can step up. Bitshiabu gave us the lead after 21 minutes, heading in Mileys corner. It's 2 after 38, Miley hits a low ball into the box following a throw in that Pitchford hits in. Villa haven't managed a shot in the first half, we've in total control. The creator is now the scorer, as Miley hits in Pitchfords through ball to make it 3 - 0. Pitchford makes it 4 after a good run and low cross from van den Berg finds Pitchford who slots in after 62 minutes. Bitshiabu heads in Miley's corner to make it 5 - 0 after 63 minutes. Villa pulled one back in the 86th minute, a through ball was stopped by van den Berg but a bad first touch like Fermin hit past Roledo. Miley made it 6 - 1 in the 90th minute after a great through ball from Archie Brown. Robeldo starts again against Newcastle, Livramento is back but Pitchford is out, hopefully we can get a home win. A good attacking move and some brilliance from Livramento to set up Juliao puts us 1 - 0 up in the 40th minute. Juliao gets a brace in the 42nd minute, Hojlund crosses, Grabara saves and spills it out to Juliao to hit into an open net. Newcastle keep attacking but we're clearing, it's a shot from Newcastle, it whacks Livramento and goes in for an OG, 2 - 1 after 69 minutes. It ends 2 - 1 in a tight game where Juliao was the difference. Think it's our league to lose With the Champions League qualification we've got our budget already, I want to sell before I buy though. Champions League I knew if we held them away we could win at home. Which compared to our game with Real Madrid last year, we did. West Ham in the Champions League is a different game but they're good, they'll give us a proper challenge. Youth intake Not a good year. It's made me replace some of my backroom staff . Spong doesn't have the physical stats and he's moody. Blott might be able to do play at a lower prem club, he has poor physicals which I'm not sure he can get up enough to play here. Lawal is probbaly the best of the lot. Pacey, tricky and can finish. If I played with an AF, he could have potential. Top 50 Wonderkids MacDonald is a proper Miller so I love this one, he's born in Wakey, came through the academy, he's a Rotherham fan, he's a Miller. International Debut So my striker who's out at Hull who's scored 5 in 10 in the Championship but scored 0 goals in 12 in his first loan for Sheff Utd in the Prem was called up. But Pitchford who has the 2nd average rating in the prem and 2nd goals, the best English striker can't get in oh and he's a WORLD CUP WINNER. April Fancy watching Rotherham United vs West Ham United? SpillBlood
Premiership Winners 2030/2031 We're now the best team in Yorkshire. 5 times in a row . Keep them coming. I really want the Premiership, Carabao, FA Cup and Champions League all in 1 season but we're still a way away from that it seems.
