Deluxebeatz12 Posted January 15 Share Posted January 15 (edited) Hi, i began a manager career in FM24 as the Newcastle Jets (Australian A-league) maybe 4 days ago (i am playing via Xbox PC GamePass). When i began to play i started at the very beginning of the preseason (Sometime in july). I wanted to create a new save as i have a good grasp of how to play. However, now when i create a new save i begin sometime in September (The problem with this is free agents are signed and im already knocked out of the Australian Cup). I have tried all 3 variation (Original, my word and real world) but it always begins at September. Any ideas on how to begin back in July or why my game is starting later in the preseason rather than at the beginning? NineCloudNine Posted January 15 Share Posted January 15 (edited) The starting date depends on what country you choose to start the game in. You may accidentally have chosen a different country this time. Go through the list of active leagues and pick one with an earlier date. You don’t have to choose a club in that country, you can navigate to wherever you want to manage. Be a little careful though because if there is too big a gap between your start date and the start date of the league you want to manage in, you’ll have to wait some game time first. For example, you can start in Brazil in January 2023, but if you do that you won’t be able to pick a club in Europe to manage as then you’d be in last season with this season’s squads. Hi, Thanks for your reply, so i began a new career again, this time including the chinese super league. Their champions league begins 07/08/23, i do believe that was very similar to my first saves beginning date. However, once i load in and i can select my club, i go to the australian league and it says it cannot be selected as it does not match the start date nation. It depends how many leagues you load up when you initially set up the game (playable/view only leagues). See the pictures below. Australia only offers three start dates, so you are stuck with those. Hi, thank you for your reply. Yes, i understand that. But I AM selecting the A-league as my main league and the Newcastle Jets as my team i want to begin at. It still does not let me start at the earliest time. Maybe these pictures will provide more context. When i started my first save i know i played the first game on Tue 11/07/2023. And now when create a new save (Same team, same league) it will only let me begin on the 11/09/2023, which suck because my team has already been kicked out of the Australian cup and free agents have been signed to other clubs. I just set up a test save using your setup. Set the league start date to England 3/7/2023. Then when its setup select your team and start from that date. Yes it is somewhat counter-intuitive that you can choose to start the game in a league and country you have no intention of managing in, but it does offer the flexibility to do what you want here. ChampionshipManager Posted February 28 Share Posted February 28 (edited) what you need to do is start the game (i choose Turkey as i like the date of 19th June , plenty of prep time) once game is loaded , go through motions & before pressing add manager (make sure you have a saved profile - not important but does speed the process up) start unemployed it'll take you to the following screen (check pictures) Game Status screen Then press add manager You can now manage in any league that is playable (the greyed out leagues are view-only) Edited February 29 by ChampionshipManager Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
