Carambau
The Lilies September & October 2030 Results Now THATS better! A great run of wins saw us shoot up in the table into 3rd place! We won against Düsseldorf, Hoffenheim and Stuttgart without conceding before defeating big Leipzig at home. We eventually lost the Hessen Derby, but continued to win against St.Pauli and then beat Schalke to make the next round of the DFB Pokal where we will play 3.Liga outfit Kaiserslautern. Again, we are lucky with the draw. Bundesliga Table We climbed up to 3rd. Club News Our board continues to disappoint. Carambau
The Lilies November & December 2030 Results A credible draw against Leverkusen followed a wonderful win against Dortmund before we lost to Bayern as usual. The win against ****ing Augsburg tasted very sweet. Then we met Kaiserslautern with our former player Torsiello and after a hard fight we made it into the DFB Pokal quarter final where we will meet Mainz. We then defeated Freiburg with a goal in stoppage time, drew against our bogey team and won against Cologne to end the year on a high. Bundesliga Table Yes, we are still up there. Carambau
The Lilies January 2031 Transfers Arsenal met the release clause of Samuels-Smith and we had to let him go sadly. Villagra had been making noises about leaving for a long time and finally he went. We needed an instant replacement for Samuels-Smith and we found Leonardo Moreno in Argentina. He goes into the 1st team right away. Same goes for Maximilian Bleibtreu, who we literally stole for only 6.25M from Hoffenheim! Problem is, his best position is one we don´t have in our tactics so I am thinking about changing them next season. Results The results look good but it wasn´t easy. However, they could have been even better if we had found the net against Schalke but we didnt. It looked like another goalless draw against Wolfsburg until 2 minutes from time when we scored. Mainz then were out-countered. Bundesliga Table I like it up there. Oh and Gambini was voted "Bester Newcomer" of the Bundesliga! Carambau
The Lilies February & March 2031 Results Our good form continues. We beat Nuremberg and Dusseldorf comfortably, then defeated Mainz after extra time to reach the DFB Pokal semi final against Dortmund. At least we will play at home. Obviously we partied too hard afterwards, so we lost the game against Hoffenheim. But one week later we were back in shape and defeated Stuttgart. Leipzig proved too tough for us, but then we demolished Eintracht in the Hessen Derby! Then we won at St.Pauli and drew with Leverkusen. Bundesliga Table 4th with 7 games to go. Crunch time! Youth Intake Look at that! A 3.5 stars prospect! The rest... meh. Edited March 18 by Carambau
Carambau
The Lilies April & May 2031 Results A fantastic run-in saw us finish in 3rd place, a record high for The Lilies! And April couldnt have started better - we defeated BOTH Dortmund and Bayern! And ****ing Augsburg as well! In the DFB Pokal we rested some key players and it showed - Dortmund made short work of us. But it paid off as said key players were well rested and fit again to beat Freiburg 3 days later. Our bogey team awaited us a week later, but this time we were confident enough to finally beat them in a wonderful match! After that win it was resting time again for the key players and once again it showed us that our bench just isnt good enough: We got "destroyed" by Cologne. But who cares when you beat Schalke in the last match of the season to secure 3rd place? Bundesliga Table What a season! Looking forward to playing in the Champions League next season! Youth Our U19s had a pretty easy season. No relegation scare this time! Well done, lads! Season Stats The team had a slow start to the season but then put on steam and got rollin. The January signings of Moreno and Bleibtreu were key to tighten our central defense and to having an unpredictable option in attack. Bleibtreu was so good he got invited to the German national team and even scored in his first match. He helped a declining Stephen Gold to get back to form again too. Gambini is the undisputed boss on the pitch. Janitzek will leave for Saudi Arabia after this season so we have to look what we can do there. Carambau
The Lilies July 2031 Transfers Sad to see Janitzek go, but we had no chance as his mind was on the money. Maehle was too old. Striker Fofana is a good backup striker, same goes for right back Reynolds and left back Rothe. Cortijo is a great talent with lots of potential and is planned for the first team. The Team Goalkeepers Galinovic is our new first choice keeper. Purtscher is the backup. John is still there. Key Player: Maks Galinovic Defenders Gambini & Moreno lead from the back. Key player: Christian Gambini Midfielders Bleibtreu is the new key player in midfield. We changed our tactics to bring out the best in him. Key Player: Maximilian Bleibtreu Attackers Gold did not convince in his first season. Hopefully he will this season. Key Player: Stephen Gold Tactics A NEW TACTIC! I chose this one to bring out the best in our key player Bleibtreu. Board Expectations These expectations are managable. Carambau
The Lilies August 2031 Results The perfect start! We easily disposed of amateurs Bergisch Gladbach in the 1st round of the DFB Pokal, next opponent will be Rostock at home. Then we went on to beat St.Pauli, Rostock and Freiburg, Bundesliga Table Only 3 games played. Still a nice view. Europe Back among the big boys. Club News Construction of our new stadium is complete! Carambau
The Lilies September & October 2031 Results It seems we are the Jekyll & Hyde of the Bundesliga: We are playing great domestically but when it comes to Europe we are just chicken ****. We triumphed in the Hessen Derby once more, but then in the CL we lost to a mediocre Rapid. Then we beat Leverkusen at their place before getting trashed by Benfica in the CL. We even lost in the Bundesliga, albeit against a strong Dortmund team. But then we increased the pace: We beat our bogey team convincingly and won against Stuttgart. Then we lost narrowly against Chelsea in the CL again before we beat Mainz and Rostock to advance to the 3rd round of the DFB Pokal where we will meet Bayern at home. Bundesliga Table Can you believe that? We are top of the league! Europe 3 games, 3 defeats. Edited March 19 by Carambau
Carambau
The Lilies November & December 2031 Results We did not lose a single game in those 2 months! 2 of the 3 draws came in the CL against Napoli and Villareal and against Bayern in the league match. However, we won the DFB Pokal tie 4 days later to qualify for the quarter final again where we will play Bochum at Ruhrstadion. Bundesliga Table 3 points ahead of Bayern. With a game in hand. What is happening here? Europe We improved but we need to win our 2 remaining games to keep the chance to qualify alive. Carambau
The Lilies January 2032 Transfers Fresh talent for our central midfield! Rodrigo still has a lot to learn but his potential is remarkable! Results Long story short: We are out of Europe but hot in the Bundesliga! Schalke, Rostock, Pauli and Freiburg were swept away by our in-form attacking play! Don´t talk about Europe though. Atletico crushed us and Nice were not nice and outcountered us at our place. Bundesliga Table Bayern don´t let go. Moreno was voted "Bester Newcomer" of the Bundesliga! Europe Don´t dream, it´s over. Disappointing performances.
Carambau
The Lilies February & March 2032 Results Hello darkness my old friend. Here comes the decline! A series of near losses saw us fall down in the table. It all started so well with us making the semi final of the DFB Pokal after defeating Bochum, but then we lost 3 of the next 4 matches, managing only one point. At least we could beat our bogey team, draw in Stuttgart and beat Mainz but then we lost against Leipzig again. Bundesliga Table Falling down to 3rd. Youth Intake Meh. Keeper looks ok though.
Carambau
The Lilies April & May 2032 Results Silverware! We won the DFB Pokal! This consoles us a bit for our decline in the league table. We managed to pick ourselves up, stayed strong in the important games and in the end won the Cup. Bayern humiliated us by clinching the title after beating us but I don´t care. We beat Cologne in the final to collect our second silverware of the save. Bundesliga Table We only ended up in position 4. A little disappointment. But then again we should be able to see the positives. Youth Our U19s had great season! They almost managed to title playoff semi finals against the north section teams. Season Stats This team got very close to winning the title but then maybe it showed that the lads are so young and there are few experienced players to lead the way. Nevertheless a good season after winning the DFB Pokal. Maybe next season they can challenge again. With players like Bleibtreu this should be a real possibility. Carambau
The Lilies July 2032 Transfers Fofana and Essugo were backups anyway so we took the money. Sosic, Ben Salem and Quenda were complaining all the time so we loaned them out. Brambilla will play alongside Bleibtreu in central midfield. Celso Jung and Dodic are both strikers to help Gold in attack now that we got more games this season. Chabot brings vast experience to our defense. Jung and Bruns-Pauli are young German players to develop. Same goes for Wu Junjie. The Team Goalkeepers Galinovic remains our first choice keeper. Purtscher is the backup. John is still there. Key Player: Maks Galinovic Defenders Gambini & Moreno lead from the back. Key player: Christian Gambini Midfielders Bleibtreu now has Brambilla to play alongside him. We did better in the remaining games of the month, winning them all. Poor amateurs Heimstetten got hammered, Mainz too, we were a bit lucky to win at Stuttgart and Bochum were tough but we managed to beat them as well. Bundesliga Table 3 games played. Carambau
The Lilies September & October 2032 Results 3 wins in September, and of course 1 defeat against Bayern, whose home record is unbelievable! Then we made October our own, including a draw against Arsenal, (we even had the chance to win it but Bleibtreu missed a penalty late in the game) until we had to travel to Dortmund and lost. Carambau
The Lilies November & December 2032 Results Good times. A glorious away win at the San Siro against Milan was followed by the trashing of Nuremberg before we lost in the Hessen Derby again. We made up for it by beating Shakhtar in the Champions League and defeating Rostock in the Bundesliga. We needed penalties to overcome Stuttgart to book a place in the DFB Pokal quarter final against Bayern. We then beat Gladbach and drew against Monaco in the CL and away at Cologne. To end the year we defeated Schalke 1-0. Bundesliga Table One point behind Bayern. Europe We already qualified for the playoffs. Carambau
The Lilies January 2033 Transfers Rodrigo was loaned out to gain match practice. Thats the only transfer this time. Results Lots of draws in January. When we won, we won comfortably, like vs Stuttgart and Bochum. The draws in the Bundesliga really hurt us, as we fell further behind Bayern in the table. And Madrid once again made short work of us. Bundesliga Table We fell behind a bit. Europe We made the playoffs and will play Villareal now. Carambau
The Lilies February & March 2033 Results No DFB Pokal final this season as Bayern defeated us in the quarter final. In the league, it all looked good until we lost the 1st leg of the Champions League Playoffs against Villareal. We could only manage a draw at home against Bayern afterwards and then lost the 2nd leg. AND then lost at Wolfsburg. That should be the Bundesliga title gone, although we won the next 3 games. Bundesliga Table 8 points, 8 games left. No chance. Youth Intake Underwhelming intake again. We are used to it. Edited March 20 by Carambau
Carambau
The Lilies April & May 2033 Results Winning the first four games in April gave us a little hope to do the impossible, but then we lost to Cologne at home and it was downhill from then. We were glad the season was over. Bundesliga Table We lost 2nd place on the last matchday. Again, a good season on paper. But it could have been way better. Youth Our U19s won the title in the Southern U19s League! They qualified for the semi finals of the German U19s Championships, but lost against Leipzig. They also had a great season in the UEFA Youth League: They qualified as FIRST from the League Phase and reached to quarter finals where they were defeated by Atletico Madrid. Season Stats Great stats indeed. But what is it worth when you don´t win anything in the end? And again, we need to upgrade the quality for the next season to be able to challenge once more. Carambau
The Lilies July 2033 Transfers Ares has been a loyal servant all those years so we let him go to a new challenge. And of course Arsenal came on the last day to sign Galinovic. Luckily we were still able to react in time. Elijah Smith will be our new first choice keeper, with Yaman Ozkan being his backup. Carambau
The Lilies September & October 2033 Results After a flawless September we finally lost our first point against Leipzig and lost our first game against Barcelona, both at home. We also lost to Bayern again, also in our own stadium. It seems we have some kind of "playing-at-home-phobia" for we won both at Heidenheim and Leverkusen and drew at Hamburg. Our new keeper had a nice debut vs Rostock. Bundesliga Table Of course Bayern overtook us. Europe 6 points after 3 games is ok I guess. Carambau
The Lilies November & December 2033 Results Good times. We managed to avoid defeat in those 2 months. Some nice wins there, like the 4-0 trashing of Shakhtar or the 5-2 destruction of Mainz. The only disappointing result might be the goalless draw in the Hessen Derby at home when we just could not find a goal. Bundesliga Table Bayern are relentless as ever. A 5 points gap. Europe We could make it without the detour of the playoff stage if we win our last 2 games maybe. Edited March 21 by Carambau
Carambau
The Lilies January 2034 Transfers 200M! As we could not convince him to stay anyway, we negotiated that nice sum at least! Bleibtreu was our best player but what can you do. Of course we needed an immediate replacement for Bleibtreu and threw the money at Man Utd. Yeah I know it is a lot but Bezdicka is only 21 and he goes right into our first team. Consigli is a striker talent and Ziegler bolsters our central midfield some more. Results Ten goals against Bremen. We thought its plain sailing from now on but got a reality check right after that game. 3 defeats and 1 draw followed. At least we made it through to the semi final of the DFB Pokal. Bundesliga Table Dortmund overtook us. A 9 point gap now. Europe We made the playoffs and will play Roma. Carambau
The Lilies February & March 2034 Results We were able to pick ourselves up and go on a good run in the Bundesliga. The only exception being the game against Bayern which we clearly lost. In Europe however, we managed to leave good impression. We were able to overcome AS Roma over 2 legs: After losing 1-2 in Rome, they scared us when taking the lead in the 2nd leg in Darmstadt and we needed 3 late goals to ensure our progress into the next round. There we had to play big Manchester United and even won the 1st leg 1-0. But it was not enough as they took control early in the 2nd leg and we went out 1-2 on aggregate. Bundesliga Table We got our second place back. But it is tight up there. 10 point gap to Bayern with 7 games left. Youth Intake Decent. But not more. Carambau
The Lilies April & May 2034 Results This time I won´t complain. We lost against Dortmund but from then on went on to win ALL remainig games of the season! And of course the best result of all was the win against Bayern, we completely overwhelmed them in the semi final! The final itself was rather anticlimatic as we were the better team throughout and Bremen were the underdogs and it showed and so we won it rather easily. Hey - Silverware again! Bundesliga Table Our nice run of wins of course wasn´t enough to catch Bayern but we finished 2nd, a record finish for Darmstadt in the Bundesliga. And Celso Jung became Topscorer. Youth Our U19s hcould not repeat last seasons´ success but played a great UEFA Youth League again, again reaching the quarter finals. Maybe they are not as bad as I think they are... Season Stats Our best season yet. And we managed it while playing half a season with our best player Bleibtreu! Bezdicka had a very good half season for us, but surely he will improve and become even better. Just like Wu Junjie, who got double digits in goals and assists. Or like Stefano Filippi who did the same. Or like Celso Jung who scored 35 goals altogether. Or like Thierno Maiga, who just got his first call-up to the Spanish national team. The future is wide open with talent like that. Edited March 21 by Carambau
