G81
I have a new phone coming tomorrow. Both my new and old phones are Samsungs (new one is an s23 fe). Can I transfer my save to my new phone, if so how.
Dan Sheppard
You can follow the advice on here to export and import saves to other devices: https://support.sega.com/hc/en-gb/articles/19474088986641-How-to#01GZ1JTZ8A595MXNHGPM0871P0
G81
I exported from my other phone then used quick share to send to new phone. However, game is saying there's no games to import when I go to the import screen. The (three) files it exported are greyed out if that helps? SI Staff Mike Gormley Posted April 15 SI Staff Share Posted April 15 Hello, I was wondering if you could share screenshots of what you're seeing? Specifically in game at the import screen and another one of the files being greyed out?

G81
This has been rendered somewhat moot for a week or so, new phone is faulty so am back on old phone waiting for a replacement.
Dan Sheppard
Let us know how you get on with the new device when it arrives.
G81
Nope. Got new phone, went to import, found the files, hit import, seemed like it was doing it but nothing appeared. Now says there's no exported filed to import (as above) preventing me from doing again despite the files still being in the folder I shared from my old phone. This needs rectifying by netflix so that there is a cloud save that they hold.
SI Staff Mike Gormley Posted April 25 SI Staff Share Posted April 25 If you were seeing the career in the import list but unable to import it that suggests to me that there's a potential issue with the game not having the required permissions to import the file. Can you follow these steps to ensure the game has all of the required permissions? https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/9431959?hl=en-GB
G81
Having looked, it appears no permissions are active. Can you confirm which permissions should be turned on?
SI Staff Mike Gormley Posted April 28 SI Staff Share Posted April 28 WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE is the one you're looking for. If that's enabled the import/export process should work for you. If that doesn't work then please let me know and we'll try to get to the bottom of it!
G81
I'll have a look. Will update. In the interim, a side issue - I've started a game in Spain with the smallest team in the league. I've noticed that their reserves aren't in any reserves league, even after a promotion - will this be a permanent issue or will they eventually enter one, as its hampering my ability to develop players outside of my first team (I dont seem to get any loan offers either)
G81
Further to the above, went into permissions, I don't see the one you've outlined. Screenshot added. I can't turn any on though. Edited April 29 by G81
SI Staff Mike Gormley Posted April 29 SI Staff Share Posted April 29 Can you tell me which OS version you're running on and what type of device you have please? I'll try and get as close a match as possible and see if I can replicate what you're seeing.
G81
It's a brand new Samsung A55, model hasn't been out long I believe. Android 14 (obviously).
Mar24
Buonasera, io ho lo stesso problema. Vorrei trasferire i salvataggi da un Samsung galaxy A50 ad un tablet mediacom X10. Le autorizzazioni sono consentite

SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted May 6 SI Staff Share Posted May 6 England has a bank holiday today - I expect Mike or someone will get back to you tomorrow (I'd try and help but tbh importing saves isn't something I do often myself so I'm not the best person to talk you through this). SI Staff Mike Gormley Posted May 9 SI Staff Share Posted May 9 Hello. Apologies for the delay but as Marc stated there was a bank holiday and I had additional leave around that time too. Quote Got new phone, went to import, found the files, hit import, seemed like it was doing it but nothing appeared. Now says there's no exported filed to import (as above) preventing me from doing again despite the files still being in the folder I shared from my old phone. I managed to do this by accidentally selecting the wrong folder when setting up the import location. This step in the SEGA guide is really important: Find the folder the level above the ‘Football Manager 2024 Mobile’ folder you have placed the career folder inside For example, if your exported save is located at "Documents/Football Manager 2024 Mobile/export_MyCareer" Then your import location should be "Documents/" and the game will then search that folder for the correct 'Football Manager 2024 Mobile' folder. In order to reselect your import location you would have to do a fresh install of the game unfortunately. This is something I'll raise with the team as I think we should improve the user experience for the next version. Can you try selecting the import folder again and verifying if that fixes the problem or not?
G81
To be honest, it's not even letting me on the import screen now. This needs sorting for next year. It should not be such a pita to carry a game across phones, especially when it could be rectified by Netflix taking their inroads into the gaming provision sector seriously and facilitating cloud saves or an equivalent.
