du Garbandier
Here's a situation: it's deadline day. An offer came in for a player, and I agreed, subject to getting a replacement. I identified a replacement and agreed an offer, only for the transfer to be nixed owing to insufficient funds. Funds that would be available in the event that the transfer goes through. So I'm trying to persuade the board to make the deal and they refuse, and I end up resigning over it (then reloading ).
turnip
While that's obviously frustrating, this kind of 'we will have the money' situation isn't something SI have programmed into the game yet. It's why - personally - I will never go into Deadline Day without either having: a fat load of cash and a bloated shortlist of players I can spend that money on; or, the full knowledge that I don't have to sell anyone I haven't already got backup for. du Garbandier
Yeah. Usually there's buzz about players that are attracting interest. I'm too early in my career to have built up a decent shortlist, although the transaction in question came from there.
