[FM24] Chelsea - Youth Only - No Badges - Sunday League Experience - Real World start. Poch was treated unfairly, but I think I'm not even going to last as long as he did.

This save should continue, although I was loving the Tullibody save.

I'm considering alternating seasons if I don't get sacked by Chelsea.

Tullibody definitely isn't over.

We had qualified for Europe whether we won the Cup Final or not. Had we lost the FA Cup Final then Liverpool wouldn't have needed the European Cup Final spot, so it would have gone to the league and that's us anyway.

I wasn't aware until now, but we actually started on a 2 year contract. Is that normal?

So we don't actually have to be offered a new contract right now. We just have to not be sacked. Does this play in our favour, (with the FA Cup win)?

I'm a bit gutted that I was sacked after qualifying for europe via the League and also winning the FA Cup.

I suppose it's not really a surprise when you consider who we're managing and their history with sacking Poch

Poch actually did better than be in that he led Chelsea to a 6th place finish with 63 points, and under my leadership we could only manage a 7th place finish, but with 65 points.

Nicolas Jackson 6'1" scored 26 goals, (23 of them in the league).

Cole Palmer 6'2" scored 22 goals, (20 of them in the league).

Raheem Sterling contributed 9 goals and 10 assists before he broke his leg.

Reece James contributed 16 assists.

Ben Chilwell contributed 12 assists.

Moisés Caicedo contributed 11 assists.

I think I did well, but just not well enough to keep my job. I actually quite like that I was sacked, because it really does mirror reality doesn't it. Do we think Poch would have kept his job had he won the FA Cup? Possibly.

Anyway, really enjoyed this while it lasted.

Well that was (somewhat) quick. I don't know why they called the meeting in what honestly wasn't all that bad of a month.

Unlucky to get sacked, but not shocked. Being a Spurs fan as well, i hate Chelsea with a passion. At times i do wonder doing a save with them, as the players they've got, they should be challenging on FM at least.

It was always on the cards unfortunately. I thought that winning the FA Cup might grant me a reprieve but no luck and can't really complain.

It wasn't about form, or losing the confidence of the squad, (the things most likely to get me sacked). In the end we were just sacked, (fairly in my opinion), because they wanted a Champions league finish and we were  a fair bit off that. Yeah we qualified for Europe, but it's not the same.

Nah, don't think I was unlucky in the end. We were unlucky with individual results and injuries, but when you miss out an important target like that it's always on the cards.

No complaints from me.

You definitely lasted a lot longer than I'd have thought based on your starting point and the club you chose.

I wonder how this would compare to a save under the same conditions with similar 'trigger happy' boards, say at Madrid or PSG (Watford obviously aren't as big).

I thought I would be gone before Christmas. Just getting to Jan still in the job was a decent achievement based on expectations and the ridiculous injuries we had at centre-half.

I managed Chelsea a few years ago when I was deep deep deep into the save and I think I took charge when they were in the Championship with huge debts after Abramovic had left and they had imploded. I had built my reputation and got badges by that stage though, so it wasn't the same.

I also did a Barca save a few years ago where I had to repay something like £2.4B worth of debt in 3 years while still remaining competitive. I have a feeling I started off as an International footballer in that save, (to avoid these problems). I don't know if it's possible to take over a club like with no badges and Sunday League reputation and be successful. I suppose it is because I got through to the end of the season and had we won more games then I would have been given the chance to see out the 2nd year of my contract and we all know hos much easier the 2nd season is.

A big thing that I struggled with, (especially early on), is that there wasn't a single on-relationship in the whole squad at the start of the save. Even almost a year on when I was sacked, there were still no links anywhere on the tactic screen, despite the fact that I'd been able to play with quite a settled side for much of the season.

With Madrid and Watford I think the demands are high, but also achievable, so I don't think it's as hard as it was here. What would get you sacked there is the dressing room. We survived that and it was just a failure to meet agreed upon targets in the end. Losing the dressing room with no reputation is always the biggest danger in saves like this.

That was certainly an interesting experiment! I also feel like you did well there. :applause:

I think anyone playing a similar save can think they did pretty well if they're still in a job come January.
