Sahaj Oberoi
Honestly as I have been doing saves, it has been difficult to get into a rhythm as I have been getting bored quickly. But this time, I will do my best to be a little more consistent in creating content. The Otto van Bloor save was a fun save to do in all honesty and I got into a rhythm there, however since then it has been difficult. I will decide my new club soon. Sahaj Oberoi
My first club I am going to manage is Bournemouth. This is what the squad looks like. And this is a 2022-23 season setting in FM 2024.
Sahaj Oberoi
I've not really done this before but I want to update my writing style and improve so I will explain my tactical style. So this is how I am going to play. 4-2-3-1 Gegenpress with two DM's. So the idea is to use the shot stopping of Neto who is a very capable goalkeeper. Our creative outlets will be Jefferson Lerma and Jaidon Anthony as we need to use Jaidon's pace to run through the wings and cross it to Dom Solanke. Jefferson Lerma is going to be our creative outlet centrally. Our defense with Marcos Senesi and Chris Mepham as centre backs is solid enough. We need our full backs to provide balance. Ryan Christie is someone who will play a free role and I will do my best to replicate his Celtic form. Marcus Tavernier on the other hand is the guy who will hold the attack together. So this is the plan. Edited May 25 by Sahaj Oberoi
Sahaj Oberoi
We have signed two players. Danny Rose and Isco on a free transfer. I hope Danny Rose provides some much needed experience and stability in the back. I will rely on Isco to provide that winning mentality and creative spark to Bournemouth. Danny Rose is more of the experienced head needed when games are closed and we need to shut games out. Isco has that charisma to drive games forward and we hope he can recreate some good form. Also we will face Sutton in our first Carabao Cup game.
Sahaj Oberoi
Tactical observations So I want to talk about two players in particular. One is Jaidon Anthony and the other is Dominic Solanke. So the way that I am going to use them is a bit unique since I have observed certain things in the first two games. Jaidon Anthony is a player with a lot of raw talent and I want to use his pace so that he can cut in and score goals, like an inverted winger rather than a pure winger, he has to improve his finishing and he can improve his finishing. On the other hand, Dominic Solanke's role as an out and out striker is not quite working and I have found a new role for him, where he plays in the hole, as a shadow striker, a mix of a number 9 and a number 10. This provides an outlet where Dom Solanke can hold the ball up, somewhat like Marouane Fellaini and provide that finishing as well, so he is a mix of a target man and a player who runs through the channels. Sahaj Oberoi
So there are a change of tactics that I will implement as we are struggling to score goals. I will be playing a basic 4-4-1-1 formation with a Gegenpress style of play. I am pushing the wingers deeper because I want them to run past fullbacks. The two wingers I am going to use to do that are Jaidon Anthony and Dango Ouattara. Dominic Solanke will play in the hole as the hybrid number 9 and 10 at the same time. We need to talk about Dango Ouattara though. He has really impressed me in the Carabao Cup game I played against Sutton. The guy was absolutely electric and a menace, creating chances all the time. So he will get the nod over most players vying for the same position on the wing. Other than that, Danny Rose has been a calming influence in defense and has the highest pass completion rate at the club in this season so far. Sahaj Oberoi
This is what the table looks like in November. We are a solid 11th place in the league. We are doing really well, the team is coming together. In the January transfer window we will definitely get some players in so that we can compete for a higher place in the league. From a tactical perspective we have tried many different formations. However now after a 4-1 humbling at Fulham I am now playing a 5-2-3 with wing backs so that we can defend properly. Dango Ouattara has also won the young player of the month for October. Sahaj Oberoi
Let's talk transfers. So earlier this season, Ryan Christie went to RB Salzburg on loan. Darren Randolph has left the club to join Celtic for 2 million pounds. Jordan Zemura went on loan to Toulouse. Also we have made a signing in the January transfer window. We have got Michy Batshuayi on loan from Fenerbahce. On a side note, Brazil won the 2022 World Cup on my save, Manuel Pellegrini has delivered the World Cup title for Brazil on my save. Sahaj Oberoi
So mid season when we were over the wage budget, I put the entire squad on sale and I managed to sell one player, Jefferson Lerma. We have sold Jefferson Lerma to Everton for 22 million pounds. We have got 3 new midfielders. Jairo Riedewald and Roberto Gagliardini have joined the club on loan from Crystal Palace and Internazionale respectively. Also we have signed Ivan Rakitic for 400k pounds from Sevilla. Earlier in the January transfer window we got Toby Alderweireld on loan from Antwerp.
Sahaj Oberoi
So here is how we end the season. We finish in 13th place in the league with 44 points after 38 games. After the flurry of form in January, we went on a hideous run of form that saw us not pick up a win until the Fulham game. And then we ended the season fairly strongly.
Sahaj Oberoi
These are the stats for the season. Dominic Solanke finished the season as the top goalscorer with 9 goals. Marcus Tavernier had the most assists, he got 8 assists this season. Ben Pearson had the highest average rating this season. One of the players I want to talk about is Marcus Tavernier. I converted him into a right back this season and he played there in the mid to latter stages of the season. He has been sensational in filling that role. So this is one of my tactical tweaks that I made to get the best out of the players. Also since we were on the very bad run of form, we played a 4-2-3-1 DM fluid counter attack style of play. Ben Pearson went to Al Ittihad for 7 million pounds. Danny Rose went to Al Faisaly (KSA) for 110k pounds. Sahaj Oberoi
BUT BUT BUT, there is a big twist in my career. I got a job opportunity that I could not turn down. And the chance to win silverware and be in the Champions League is something I could not pass on. So after a season in charge at Bournemouth where I also lost my assistant manager, Craig Shakespeare, I have decided to be the new manager of Celtic. Celtic is a massive club in Scotland and it is a job that really appealed to me. The size of the club is huge and the fans will be a huge driving force. This is what the Celtic squad look like. Sahaj Oberoi
A few transfers have happened. Reo Hatate went to Braga on loan. And then we went on to sign one of our former players, Jaidon Anthony from Bournemouth on loan. James McCarthy went to Al Wehda for 450k pounds. Ismaila Soro went to Las Palmas for 300k pounds. Also we will face Rangers in the next round of the Scottish Premier Sports Cup. So I am looking forward to the Old Firm Derby in the cup.
Sahaj Oberoi
A flurry of transfers have happened. We have brought the band back together from Bournemouth. Kieffer Moore joined the club for 2.5 million pounds. Hamed Traore and David Brooks also joined the club on loan from Bournemouth. Liam Scales left the club to join Coventry for 325k pounds. Sead Haksabanovic went on loan to SC Braga. We have a tough Champions League group. In our group there is Manchester City, PSG and Sevilla. So I hope luck is on our side. Albian Ajeti left the club to join Elche for 975k pounds. Yuki Kobayashi has gone to Reading on loan. Liam Shaw has gone to Preston on loan.
Sahaj Oberoi
This is a December update of the 2023-24 season. Unfortunately it is not all sunshine and roses here at Celtic. The task is bigger than I thought. We are currently 4th in the league and we lost a cup final to Inverness. I need to turn things around here at Celtic. I do have a theory about why we are so profligate in front of goal especially. Graham Potter's assistant manager, Billy Reid who usually goes along with him to any job he takes over is now my assistant manager at Celtic. So there are clear patterns of play, but the amount of chances we miss is staggering.
Sahaj Oberoi
A lot of transfers have happened. Loic Bade joined the club on loan. Aaron Mooy left the club to join Lecce for 6 million pounds. David Turnbull joined Hoffenheim for 2.6 million pounds. Andre went to Monterrey for 23 million pounds. Greg Taylor went to Al Nassr (KSA) for 10.25 million pounds. Matt O'Riley went to AZ on loan.
Sahaj Oberoi
More transfers. Osaze Urhoghide joined Nimes on loan. Lewis Cook joined the club from Bournemouth for 36.5 million pounds. Mikey Johnston went to Reading on loan. Dango Ouattara joined the club on loan from Bournemouth. Mile Svilar joined the club on loan from AS Roma. Axel Tuanzebe joined the club on loan from Internazionale.
Sahaj Oberoi
And we wrap up the transfer window with some deals including a very surprising one. Mackenzie Carse has gone to Charleroi on loan. Sepp van den Berg has joined the club on loan from Liverpool. And the surprising deal we made is the signing of Pedro from Lazio for 400k pounds. He will provide some much needed experience and know how to the front line of our club. We are also in the Scottish Cup and we will face Kelty Hearts in the next round after beating Dumbarton in the previous round.
Sahaj Oberoi
End of season update. We finished 3rd in the league with Celtic after 69 points from 38 games. We lost in the Premier Sports cup final against Inverness and we got knocked out of the Scottish Cup by Rangers in the quarter final. I also received an email from the board saying that my job at Celtic is under threat and we need a very good start next season to keep my job. So I hope that happens. Trophy less season, but I realized the task at Celtic is much more difficult than I thought. There needs to be a clear out and we need the team to be fully prepared next season to launch a title challenge.
Sahaj Oberoi
This is how the team performed this season. Only Daizen Maeda has really stood out. I do want to talk about one transfer we made in the January transfer window and that is the signing of Lewis Cook. He has completely stabilized the midfield and he has got a new lease of life here at Celtic after his horrific injury when I was in charge of Bournemouth. The only other player that has really impressed apart from Daizen Maeda is David Brooks, his loan spell here after he joined from Bournemouth was sensational.
Sahaj Oberoi
These are the three players who have been our main contributors this season. Daizen Maeda, David Brooks and Cameron Carter-Vickers. All three players played very well. The reason I am deliberately ignoring Kyogo Furuhashi is that he went on a run of 20 games without scoring which cost us the title. He was one of the reasons along with Vasilis Barkas that we did not win the league, the goalkeeping by Barkas was really poor and he barely kept any clean sheets. I am looking to upgrade the striker and goalkeeper position in the transfer window. This is the tactic we are using currently, it is a 5-1-4 wide with a counter attacking style of play. We have tried so many tactics and we eventually landed on this.

Sahaj Oberoi
Mid season December update. (2024-25 season) I am so happy to win my first trophy as Celtic manager. We have won the Premier Sports Cup by beating Hibernian in the final. Also we are top of the Scottish Premiership, just about. But I will take it. Our squad is really clicking. I was about to get sacked but I am thankful about the fact that the board showed faith in me. And we are doing really well.
Sahaj Oberoi
Earlier in the save Belgium won Euro 2024. Also, we have had so many transfer dealings that I decided to show it through the transfer history list rather than showing incomings and outgoings individually, the January transfer window just got over. We have had 3 major sales. Ricardo Esgaio went to Fulham for 14 million pounds. Liel Abada went to Leicester City for 29 million pounds. Jota went to Arsenal for 23 million pounds. The major signings we made are Carlos Vinicius from Flamengo, Leonardo Spinazzola from AS Roma, Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei on loan from Chelsea and Jensen Weir on loan from Brighton because he had a great season at previous league champions Hibernian. Sahaj Oberoi
I won't do an exclusive based on who performed well specifically this season, because winning the treble in Scotland is truly a team effort and every single player who has made a contribution has done their part to make sure this absolutely brilliant achievement happened.
