Guest
Who is Kyro Love? Kyro Love is a fictional football manager that I have created for this save. To be honest, I ran a random name generator for English names and Kyro and Love popped up separately, so I just put them together. He's 32 years old, and he was born in Toronto, Ontario. He moved across the country at a young age, when his parents separated. He joined the Vancouver Whitecaps academy, but burnt out of playing the sport after he thought he wasn't good enough technically. However, coaches convinced him to stay in the sport, due to his immense knowledge of positioning and tactics. His goal is to reach the heights of the sport, and make Canadian football something to be taken seriously. What is the Canadian Premier League? The Canadian Premier League is the only professional football league in Canada. There are 8 clubs, based in Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Halifax, Toronto and Ottawa. The goal for this league is to have it rival the MLS and Liga MX for the best league in North America, and build the clubs infrastructure to develop players. Why Vancouver FC? This one is pretty simple. I love black kits and simple logos. This club has both of those things.
Guest
The squad that Kyro has inherited is extremely thin. Only 3 CB's, and only 3 CM's. This severely limits what he was planning to do, and with little to work with in the budget he will have to bring in loans to make things work. Thankfully, there are some bright spots on this team to work with. Two teenagers who have plenty of ability for this division. They will be featuring heavily with the goal being to improve them and sell them on to bigger clubs. That will be the process for the first few seasons to try and bring through money to afford facility improvements. We also want to see how far these players can go in world football, and try and develop Canadian talent.
Guest
A couple players were brought in on loan from MLS B teams. Welcome Elijah Amadin and Imanol Almaguer.
Guest
And a very warm welcome to someone who is way beyond our level as of right now. Welcome Sean Rea!

Guest
It's Canadian Premier League time and here is how we line up for matchday 1 away to our Vancouver rivals Pacific FC: 2 Newgens in the first match of the save Irving with a brilliant penalty save helps us win 2-1. 15 year old winger Taryck Tahid scores on his professional debut, and Sean Rea scores his first Vancouver FC goal! Goals: Rea (1), Tahid (1) Assists: Rea (1), Gee (1)

Guest
Match two away to York United FC: A 95th minute freekick goal assissted by their goalkeeper Goals: Gee (1), Fisk (1) Assists: Bitar (1), Fry (1)

Guest
A third straight away match, this time to Halifax Wanderers: Horrible performance, I know we're only 3 matches in but that right CB spot in particular hasn't had a good performance yet.
Guest
Match 4, finally at home vs Cavalry FC: Since I couldn't get performances from any of my CB's I moved Vazquez to BPD, who has perfect attributes for the role + 20 aggression. A much improved performance, especially from the RCB spot, but look at their formation! Never seen the AI play something like that. Goals: Fisk (2), Diaz (1) Assists: Gee (2), Almaguer (1)
Guest
Match 5 vs Atletico Ottawa: Imanol Almaguer is a hero of this save already. After scoring what will undoubtedly be goal of the season, I decided to give him the penalty and he rocketed it top corner. Goals: Fisk (3), Almaguer (1,2) Assists: Simmons (1), Cameron (1) 25bf82bdf1b1b207bbc0ba3d24cc6570.mp4 Edited May 27 by Fudal formatting
Guest
Our squad, which is only 23 strong is facing a major injury crisis. Our starting wingers, our starting attacking midfielder, our starting center back, and a rotational right wingback.
Guest
Match 6 away at Forge FC: Moving to a DLF to create more space for our inside forwards. The striker hasn't been scoring anyways. Goals: Romeo (1) Assists: Renan (1)
Guest
Match 7 at home vs Valour FC: Two set piece goals save us from a poor attacking performance. Goals: Romeo (2), Vazquez (1) Assists: Diaz (1,2)
Guest
Back to the rivalry in match 8: A very solid win for us. Two goals from players in the advanced forward role. Goals: Kane (1), Fisk (4), Diaz (2) Assists: Vazquez (1), Fisk (1), Gee (3)
Guest
A great start to life in Vancouver!
Guest
Match 9 away to Cavalry FC: Rea's injured again and we conceded in extra time to lose 2 points Goals: Fisk (5), Diaz (3) Assists: Fisk (2)
Guest
Match 10 of Kyro's tenure in Vancouver, away to Atletico Ottawa: Trying something new in the attacking third, while Vazquez moves into the DM spot again. The attacking changes didn't work, but our defense looked very solid.
Guest
Match 11 vs Forge FC: I'm very tired of Chung, who is our best player by star ratings, underperforming so he's been dropped to the bench and Gee moves to LB. Amadin will replace Gee on the right hand side. Also switching the DLF to a False 9. Another stoppage time goal to get us three points, this team just doesn't want to lose right now. The False 9 worked a treat, as Diaz put forward his best performance in Vancouver colors. Goals: Vazquez (2) Fisk (6,7), Diaz (4) Assists: Amadin (1), Cantave (1), Diaz (3,4) Edited May 27 by Fudal

Guest
Top vs Bottom against Valour FC in Match 12: Very hard fought victory against a team who just parked 6 players behind the ball at all times. Goals: Vazquez (3) Assists: Cantave (2)
Guest
Quick look at the league table and some stats so far this season: And now for our 13th match vs York United FC: Rea's back so it's time to try him as a F9. Diaz moves to the shadow striker role. Well the Rea at F9 experiment ends today, because we looked a completely different side after moving Diaz back up front after half-time. Vazquez scores 2 more long range goals. Goals: Vazquez (4,5), Fisk (8), Diaz (5) Assists: Fisk (3), Simmons (2), Romeo (1)
Guest
Always nice to get some recognition! Even with us being top of the table, there's always room for improvement on the playing staff we already have. We signed three Canadian players, namely Malik Johnson, Amer Didic, and Manuel Aparicio. Johnson will be our RW for the rest of the year, while Aparicio is being retrained to play RB. Didic immediately slots in next to Romeo, pushing Collier to the bench.
Guest
First vs Second in this match against Halifax Wanderers: Johnson got an assist 2 minutes into his Vancouver FC career! Vazquez with his 4th long range goal in 3 games , and then goes down with a lower leg injury 30 minutes later . Goals: Romeo (3), Rea (2), Fry (1), Vazquez (6) Assists: Johnson (1), Rea (2), Fisk (4), Cantave (3)
Guest
Match 14 away to Atletico Ottawa: And it was a bore draw.
Guest
Match 15 vs Cavalry FC: Boring game until the 85th minute, when everyone decided to just start kicking the **** out of each other. Goals: Fisk (9)
Guest
Match 16 away to Forge FC: Well it finally happened. The last game that I was planning on playing in this session, and we lost. We didn't deserve to lose, but that's not good enough.
Guest
Match 18 vs rivals Pacific FC: A much more promising showing. Goals: Diaz (6), Fisk (10), Vazquez (7), Rea (3) Assists: Fisk (5), Gee (4)
cerud
As a Vancouverite, I'm very happy to follow this! Odd fact: Vancouver FC is not actually in Vancouver. It's in Langley, about three cities over. But they went with the Vancouver name because it's more well-known. Doing great so far in the league!
Guest
Match 19 vs Valour, who are bottom: Another great performance. Goals: Johnson (1), Renan (1), Fry (2) Assists: Johnson (2), Fry (2)

Guest
1st vs 2nd in a pivotal match 20: Back to what I feel is our 1st team in this match. A very hard fought victory, we go 9 points clear of Halifax, but teams are still pushing us for first. Goals: Vazquez (8), Tahid (2) Assists: Amadin (2)

Best one of the CPL this year.
_Ben_
Interested to follow this - particularly as I've just started in Canada, too. In particular, I want to see what your youth intake brings and how quickly, if at all, you can raise the quality of football there. You've made a great start, though! Guest
Canadian Championship Qualifying Round away to Atletico Ottawa: Collier's been dropped due to some average performances, plus an off-field event dropped his professionalism. I was hoping to mentor him to Model Citizen, but now he's just fairly determined. Also I'm absolutely loving Malik Johnson on the right wing. He's averaging 6! successful take-ons in his first few matches with the club. Finally, a true marquee performance from Sean Rea, our highest earner. He's made me consider his place in this side this year, but his class was on full display today. Johnson with 4 key passes and 4 clear cut chances created. Goals: Rea (4,5), Fisk (11), Diaz (7) Assists: Rea (3), Gee (5), Johnson (3)
Guest
Our QF Draw is brutal, a match which could end up being a true drubbing: That being said, they're 13th (out of 15 teams) in the Eastern Conference, and only 23rd our of 29 teams in the MLS. This is the friendliest MLS draw we could have gotten.
Guest
Match 21, away at York United: Goals: Diaz (8) This win puts us 12 points clear, although the other 4 playoff teams all have a game in hand.
Guest
Match 22 vs Forge FC: A really good performance, even if the referee didn't want us to win! 2 goals ruled off for offsides and 2 handball penalties! Goals: Vazquez (9), Didic (1,2) Johnson (2) Assists: Simmons (3), Fisk (6), Cantave (4), Johnson (4)

Guest
Match 23 vs Atletico Ottawa: Another great win, we just seem too good for this league at this point. Goals: Johnson (3,4), Diaz (9) Assists: Diaz (5), Amadin (3), Rea (4)

Guest
Our match vs Montreal is here: Just hoping to keep it close. Well, it wasn't close. We won 5-1, and put up a more dominant performance over an MLS side. Erm...
Guest
Match vs Halifax: We finally dropped points, and mostly due to Cantave's red in the 20th minute.
Guest
Youth Intake: @_Ben_ Hope this will give you a preview of what to look for, although our facilities are terrible compared to Halifax's. Welp. That is a big sucker punch. Even Pullen is terrible. Not that I put too much stock into star ratings, but 3* max is bad.
Guest
Youth Intake Player Previews: Max is the highest PA player from this intake, according to star ratings. He's really poor. Pullen could be something, but he has a lot of work to do. No pace, which is a theme. Decent grifter striker. 3 crossing Terrible. He's okay actually!
