Hootieleece
End of 2027 Season Part II Manager's Thoughts The team faced two additional matches before a reduced offseason, a consequence of reaching the All-Japan Cup Final. Securing trophies required sacrifices, and this was one such instance. Nevertheless, the compressed schedule frustrated Toranaga and the players, as it increased the risk of injuries. Despite Toranaga's efforts to mitigate this by employing top-notch staff and arranging ample "recovery days," concerns remained. Schedule Team Screen Highlights Season's over Saudi's and Chinese coming for our players. Our team was undoubtedly the best in the league. Massimo Bertagnoli MCR-CAR-S Massimo Bertagnoli is the back-to-back MVP of the J1 League. Toranaga also received recognition for an excellent season. The team sailed through the Group Stage and is set to face the Chinese powerhouse Shanghai Port FC in our Preseason. The last match of the season for the last trophy..... We currently possess three of the four domestic trophies and are contenders for the AFC title next season. Hootieleece
Beginning of Season 2028 Manager's Thoughts Heading into the 2028 season, Toranaga maintained a consistent approach, and the team continued its winning streak. Although there's a slight dip in offensive numbers, it's due to opposing teams adopting a more defensive strategy against us. This is also reflected in our defensive stats; facing fewer shots means our defense is improving, largely thanks to our star goalie. With Toranaga's leadership, the team is well-positioned for another triumphant season and possibly clinching the AFC Trophy. Preseason This team clinched the All-Japan Cup, and Toranaga aimed to maintain a stable locker room and team dynamic, opting for minimal transfer activity. The majority of the activity involved re-signing players to contracts with enhanced transfer compensation clauses. Notably, goalkeeper Masato Sasaki received a pay raise, and his Foreign Transfer Clause was increased from $5.5M to $10M. Goalies Sasaki is the undisputed number one goalkeeper. Shimura serves as the backup, while Yoshioka is the third-choice keeper because the AFC mandates the registration of three goalkeepers; otherwise, he would be loaned out for more playing time. Defenders The starting back four are Hasegawa, Yamasaki, Inoue, and Matsubara. Similar to other sections of the team, the backups are advancing early from the reserve team and will receive significant playing time due to Toranaga's rigorous rotation policy. The backup four are Shimazaki, Wada, Maatrijk, and Okazaki. Kawakami will be transferred, and Lokas will change position to an AML. Midfield The starting midfield consists of Seko, Bertagnoli, and Yamada. The backups are Toshima, Jenner, and Sato. Horiuchi serves as an emergency backup and registration player. Nishikubo is a versatile player capable of playing any position in midfield or defense, but is set to leave in a transfer. Attackers The starting "Trident" consists of Kitajima, Nishikawa, and Okubo, with Sekine, Chiba, and Kastrati providing backup. Nakano, a graduate of the academy and reserves, plays as a Target Forward to offer a different approach against "Parked Bus" defenses. The team, as the two-time defending J1 League Champions, currently holds fourth place in the standings, poised for another potential victory with largely the same roster. Despite the team topping the league in scoring last season, no player is currently viewed as a goal threat. The two-time J1 League MVP Bertagnoli gets no respect...... The team is not receiving the respect it deserves, considering we have Sato, Japan's youngest player to earn a cap at 18, who is set to play significant minutes. Highlights We started the season with the Supercup against theYokohama F-Marinos And we have won it once again. Twice consecutively! We have been involved on both occasions under Toranaga's management. The League Season came and the winning continued: Schedule League Table Management Report Monthly Analysis Report The team may not be scoring as much so far, but that's not an issue since our defense has significantly improved. This is largely thanks to our goalkeeper consistently maintaining clean sheets! to be continued:
Hootieleece
2028 Season Part II Manager's Thoughts The team has remained unbeaten, yet the burden of competing for multiple trophies and maintaining the streak has led to signs of complacency and pressure. The team finally lost a J1 league match after 10 months! This was preceded by several uninspiring performances before the ACF. The board and fans started to express concerns that Toranaga might not be the right leader for future triumphs. Indeed, the Toranaga Ball strategy had grown stale offensively, as more teams adopted defensive tactics against us, which was reflected in the team's scoring rate being half of what it was last season. Ultimately, the team's solid defense and a stroke of luck led to a victory in the ACF against a formidable Saudi team. Schedule Highlights Toranaga continued to accumulate badges and licenses to become a better manager. We defeated C-Osaka to secure our qualification for the Asian Champions League Final! After a match in which we drew while favorites Toranaga was asked why his teams tend to play this way. Our unbeaten streak in the J1 League has finally come to an end... Going 10 months without losing was an accomplishment but near the end it seemed that complacency and the pressure of the streak set in. Three draws and a loss, yet still in seventh place with three games in hand... the fans and the board are indeed fickle! Initial Scouting Report for our adversaries in the ACF. The opening match of the two-legged tie took place in Saudi Arabia, with Toranaga on the hunt for a goal. We've won the first leg! A capacity crowd or close to it for the second leg of the final! Even after winning the first leg, we were still considered underdogs at home. Although we lost the match, we secured the trophy through away goals! Not that the Super Cup really counts..... We were the biggest overachievers..... League Table Monthly Analysis Report It's evident that our offense has decelerated, scoring at half the rate of the previous season. This may be due to all teams adopting a defensive strategy against us. However, our defensive statistics have seen improvement. A notable issue is the increasing number of draws, which is impacting our position in the League Table. Hootieleece
@Stuniverse I lost one match and three draws and fell down the table to ninth with 3-4 games in hand due to match congestion. The warnings of rumblings came as news to me.....but we got back on the winning ways and I just forgot about it. But it means I will probably get sacked If I don't keep getting results and trophies.
Hootieleece
2028 Season Part III Manager's Thoughts The team continues to secure victories; though we are not as prolific offensively as last season, our defensive game has significantly improved. This is largely due to our star goalkeeper, who has achieved 12 clean sheets this season. The greatest challenge to our success lies in maintaining our roster, as foreign teams are enticing our players, particularly our goalkeeper. Schedule Highlights The top defensive team in the league boasts the most shutouts. The team has begun another extended unbeaten streak. If we can secure victories in our upcoming games, we have a chance to climb higher in the League Table. Our Goalkeeper's performances are getting noticed. He has a release clause of $10M and Toranaga won't accept anything less. The board is thrilled about the AFC victory and believes the team should be enhanced. However, Toranaga remains unconvinced. The midseason window has opened and Toranaga just wants to keep his present players through this season to compete for the J1 Trophy for Third time in a row! The youth intake has not been impressive, and Toranaga does not anticipate any newcomers breaking into the first team in the near future. However, Toranaga is incorporating some of the young academy players into the team this season. Urawa's unbeaten streak away from home has extended to 30 matches, placing them at the summit of the league table with three games in hand. Hootieleece
2028 Season Part IV Manager's Thoughts Despite the transfer drama surrounding their goalkeeper, the team continued to secure victories. However, they faced an unexpected setback with a loss to the relegation-threatened FC Tokyo. This defeat served as a valuable lesson, which they leveraged to reach new levels of success in their pursuit of a third consecutive J1 League title. Schedule Highlights We continue our winning ways in the All-Japan Cup which we have held since Toranaga joined the club! OM came for our goalie and turned his head, but they know what his minimum release clause is........ He came to discuss the situation and consented to depart for his minimum release clause of $10 million. He then submitted his transfer request, which only intensified the inquiries, but Toranaga is adamant—$10 million and not a penny less! In July, Yamada spearheaded the team's multiple victories with impressive performance. Riku Yamada DLP-D Sasaki continued to perform on the field despite the transfer drama. Which is why Toranaga dreads losing him and wants a full release clause for him. Masato Sasaki GK-D Japan's best goalkeeper isn't cheap......$10 Million or else! Amidst the Sasaki Transfer saga, the Urawa Red Diamonds experienced an uncommon loss. Toranaga, facing the possibility of job loss after just one defeat, finds himself encircled by incompetence. He had deployed the reserve players, expecting a victory even with the congested match schedule. This illustrates the immense pressure the team faces to win. Toranaga attempted to present the loss in the most favorable light possible. The team discovered their opponents for the Group Stage of the ACF. Urawa should breeze through the group with the backups. Transfer Deadline Day came unless someone gave the team $10M, Sasaki would stay a Red Diamond. No one approached for him, yet the team had to wait until Europe's deadline on August 31st to officially confirm that Sasaki was remaining. Olympique Marseille is very interested in him, but they continue to offer a lower transfer fee than expected. As we continued to advance in the League Cup, the only competition that Toranaga hasn't won, we got a tough opponent in our next match. A crucial match in the title race awaits; if we win and continue our winning streak, the J1 League title will be ours! The team delivered a strong performance and secured a decisive victory. The team has internalized the lessons from the Tokyo FC defeat and has harnessed them to elevate our subsequent performances. This implies that even if we were to lose the remaining matches, we would still secure at least third place in the J1 League. The board enjoys backing a winner. Toranaga, known for his frugality, doesn't require a large budget to maintain his team's winning streak. Hootieleece
2028 Season Part V Manager's Thoughts As the season progressed, Toranaga's concerns grew regarding the team's complacency and the accumulation of match congestion. The signs of strain were evident, with occasional lapses in form. However, Toranaga's unwavering determination spurred his team to secure a third consecutive J1 League Title. His strict commitment to a player rotation schedule amidst a challenging series of matches played a significant role in this achievement. This strategy also positions the team to potentially clinch all available trophies this season, albeit at the cost of rest for the players. Schedule Highlights No one wants to name Bertagnoli the MVP yet again! The team boasts the league's top defense, largely thanks to our exceptional goalkeeping, which has resulted in 20 clean sheets! The team's defeat in the ACL Group Stage game was attributed to complacency and misfortune. However, this could also be due to match congestion, as the team had to navigate nine matches in October, including seven in just seventeen days! Some players from the intake might join the team in the coming years, yet it's likely that half of the intake will not make it to the U-18s. Yuhei Suzuki GK Tomohiro Sakata CB Takashi Fukuda AML-IF-S We've triumphed in the League Cup Semifinal, which means more matches have been added to our schedule! We will play our closest challengers for the J1 League Title in the Cup Final adding to the growing rivalry! Match congestion and complacency led to the missed chance of securing the league title. Now we have the opportunity to win the league in front of our fans at Urawa Stadium! And we achieved a narrow victory over our rival. The team has now secured four titles, with Toranaga being instrumental in clinching three of them! We have become the team to beat in Japan! Toranaga is fulfilling his dream of dominating Japanese football. His vision is to ultimately accomplish this with an all-Japanese team, if possible. Toranaga is not averse to accumulating both wealth and trophies. Hootieleece
Season 2028 Part VI Manager's Thoughts The team has been performing strongly in both the cups and the league. However, they experienced a setback against the CC Mariners in the AFC Group Stage, which could have repercussions. Aside from that, the team is on track to secure all trophies simultaneously within the same calendar and league year. Schedule Highlights We hold the title of All-Japan Cup (Emperor's Cup) Champions, and the New Year's Day 2029 Final represents the final trophy of the 2028 season. We will defend our Trophy against Fukuoka. Before the final, we still had the League Cup Final to face, and it was against our rivals, Kawasaki Frontale! Our Striker is having a prolific season on the verge of setting a new team record! Toranaga has confirmed that he will not be satisfied until he secures multiple trophies, including the League Cup, which has so far eluded him. Urawa secured a late victory even after their fiercest rivals resorted to a defensive strategy, commonly referred to as "Parking the Bus." It is actually a treble or quadruple since we won the AFC and Japanese Super Cup as well this year. In just three seasons with Urawa, Toranaga has risen to become the greatest manager in Asia's history! Toranaga loves the adulation of the masses! With the League Cup success, just one more victory is needed to secure all possible trophies! Lirim Kastrati AMR-IF-A Takuya Sato DM-DLP-D After the month was over the reports came out, we were a good team and had analysis to prove it as well as trophies. The financial picture was also positive, with a healthy bank balance. After the League Cup victory Toranaga was allowed to pursue another badge. We had the opportunity to set another record if we finished the season with a winning streak. The team secured another victory in the League game, even with backup players on the field. A backup player wins an award. Takahiro Sekine AML-IW-S A few days later we lost even with the starters playing in a trip to Australia in the AFC Group Stage. It was a tough loss in a match we should have won by the numbers. Even so there was a "Hairdryer" after the match! Hootieleece Posted Thursday at 21:34 Author Share Posted Thursday at 21:34 2028 Season Part VII Manager's Thoughts The team has continued its winning streak, securing all five possible trophies in a single calendar year. Despite not being able to defend their AFC Championship due to lackluster group stage performances, they compensated by clinching the All-Japan Cup for the third consecutive time. Defensively, the team has been outstanding throughout the season, as reflected in the statistics. With another dominant season on the horizon, the team faces potential changes in ownership and overall fatigue. Toranaga is taking a break before the new season commences. Schedule Highlights The Nakano and Wada transactions are positioning the team for future achievements with Youth Academy graduates stepping up to the first team. Wada is slated to be a starting center-back in the upcoming season. The final match of the J1 Season featured a showdown with our arch-rivals, the Kashima Antlers, perennial title challengers. Regrettably, the match lacked excitement as Kashima employed a defensive strategy, colloquially known as "Parking the Bus." Toranaga, frustrated by the team's draw, made a display of his anger for the fans. It is no wonder that foreign teams in bigger leagues are looking to acquire our Goalkeeper. Statistics don't lie; we ranked first or second in every category throughout the season, underscoring our rightful claim to the J1 Title. Toranaga claimed another Manager of the Year Award! Just days after the season ended, we were knocked out of the Champions League because of our losses. As a result, we won't be defending our AFC Trophy next season. Toranaga was annoyed as he thought his team was very capable of repeating as AFC Champs! Rumors starting again about the best GK in Japan! It's astonishing that despite the substantial bank balance and profits from the past three seasons, the team might still face a takeover. He is on the transfer list at his own request, and the team insists on not accepting anything below his $10 million release clause. As the defending champions, we aim to retain our title! The team currently holds all possible trophies; however, they will not be able to defend their 2028 AFC Trophy due to subpar performance in that competition. Toranaga's Achievements at Urawa in the Last Three Seasons! DOMINATION by a Shogun! League Table Analysis Report Defensively this was Toranaga's best team and the GK had a lot to do with it. Despite being assigned goalkeeper duties, he performs as a sweeper-keeper.
