2023 - Western Conference - First Round - 2nd Leg

 

I think we got FM'd a little bit in both legs.

But in the end Kansas was just better and won both games.

End of Season Review 2023

 

 

Very good first season in Portland.

We won the regular season and got 2nd in the Supporter Shield.

Sadly we choked the Playoffs pretty early.

 

But we won the US Open in the final against Atlanta.

End of Season Review 2023 - Overview

In the 1st round of the Champions Cup (CONCACAF CL) we will travel to Mexico.

Two legs vs Guadalajara.

Atlanta won the MLS for the 2nd time.

They beat LA Galaxy with 3:0 in the final.

Anthony was moaning about game time. Sadly he never really performed.

Asprilla wanted a new challenge after 10 years at the club.

The perfect timing to bring Hassani Dotson home. He was born in Federal Way, Washington.

Sadly the dices rolled not good for us.

We drafted 3 players and only Rex Smith will probably make the squad.

I noticed Carrasquilla was listed by Houston.

Couple of draft picks and a 1 year international slot.

We triggered the option to buy for Matarrita. Very nice left wingback.

With Alberth Elis we hopefully found our main striker. Honduran international with a lot of experience.

And we upgraded our defense with Jose Cordoba. Panama international who could play in the top 5 leagues.

Very good home game in Portland.

Now the season can start.

We got our 3 DPs now and overall we improved the squad pretty good.

2024 - Second Round - 1st Leg

 

Isidro had one shot and ofcause they scored in the 17th minute.

But in the 2nd half we played much better and scored 3 goals.

Pretty boring 2nd leg.

Their defense had a great game.

In the quarter final we got a fellow MLS team.

Whitecaps vs Timbers is also a local derby.

Undefeated start to the season.

Maybe 1-2 too many draws, but better then 1-2 losses.

We won the first all American CL final!

Intense game vs Atlanta.

We switched to a diamond formation and the team is playing just better with it.

I wanted McGuire (born Omaha, Nebraska) the entire time, but Orlando never wanted a decent trade for him.

We pick up the Waiver and we got a nice backup striker für Elis and Mora.

We play decent, i think to the level of the last season.

But the other teams finally play better.

Colorado looks really good this year.

 

We are in the US Open quarter final after wins against Seattle and LA Galaxy.
