Popular Post Makoto Nakamura
Been struggling with Montenegrin motivation so I thought I'd try something a little different. Bordeaux have fallen on...tumultuous times in the last few seasons and in real life they've been relegated to the 4th tier of French football for the 2024/25 season, I'm using the most recent data update which puts Bordeaux down in the 4th tier of French football, which as we all know mean they're not playable, so how am I managing them? Well I haven't holidayed a season for them to get promoted to the 3rd tier because then the rebuild will already be in full swing, they'd already have success! No, instead I gave them a one year transfer embargo (until 1/7/24) and then holidayed until the end of the season until they got relegated to the 5th tier of football, which I have added as playable via the editor, and these are the only changes I've made. The aim is to take Bordeaux back to former glories, and since they start out only having their youth team under contract, it makes sense to really utilize the youth team and go the full youth only route back to the top. The day before I take over, the day before league reset day, confirming Bordeaux's relegation to the 5th tier. Thankfully the board and the fans only want a top half finish! And the squad! Victore Gosselin is a regen but everybody else were the members of the old youth team, now they're going to be the teams core for quite some time but they're all really young and rated as good for this league! Makoto Nakamura
2024/25 Pre-Season A terrible first half of pre-season but I arranged some easier friendlies to give us morale going into the league campaign. Predicted 5th in the 5th tier, we just need to meet expectations for the first couple seasons as the players get older. Good to see Gerard Lopez has gone as well!
Makoto Nakamura
September 2024 A strong start losing only to Istres who are leading early on in the campaign, both Ezechiel Didehi and Elijah Owona have really hit the ground running! It's not all good news though as we lose one of our starting defenders to Bastia, also in the 5th tier. A very winnable tie in the cup.
Makoto Nakamura
October 2024 I didn't realise at the time that US Lormont are actually an affiliate of ours! A perfect month for us as we're pare of a group of five that are going clear at the top of the table! A tougher test, Hyeres 83 are in the division above us.
Makoto Nakamura
November 2024 Almost perfect in the league where we're now only behind Istres thanks to head-to-head and we're through to the Eighth round of the French Cup where our run will definitely come to an end! It was either Lorient or Saint-Etienne so it's a lose-lose really. . We managed to get some upgrades though!
Makoto Nakamura
December 2024 An expected loss to Lorient but our youngsters put in a really good shift, we were even leading at half time! This could be a really good intake, looking forward to this!
Makoto Nakamura
January 2025 Well hopefully the title doesn't come down to head-to-head since we've lost two league games...both against Istres.
Makoto Nakamura
February 2025 Two more wins gives us a nice five point lead at the top of the table! With seven games remaining can we hold off both Mulhouse & Istres?
Makoto Nakamura
2024/25 Youth Candidates Lots of 5* PA players and lots of players with a good current ability as well!
leobiazzi
Hopefully none of your youngsters get poached, they seem to have potential.

Hopefully, it'll be good to see them grow with the club again! Who knows, one of thee guys could end up breaking club records (unlikely but you never know).
Makoto Nakamura
March 2025 Our first defeat in a couple of months which I thought would throw a real spanner in the works but we remain a good five points clear with just four games remaining! This will be broken a couple more times I'm sure!
Makoto Nakamura
Our first youth international! Juddy doesn't turn 16 for another seven months!
Makoto Nakamura
April 2025 Defeat away at Canet Roussillon means the final month will be interesting, five points clear of 2nd, 3rd & 4th but we face Montpellier 2 next, who are on a great run themselves.
Makoto Nakamura
2024/25 End of Season Review Well we made bloody difficult work of that! a 95th minute winner to guarantee automatic promotion! Mulhouse made it to the playoffs but lost to Laval 2. Next season things get a little bit tougher, hopefully our young guns will keep improving! Overall Best XI 2024/25 Best XI Georges Grimaud Hugo Capblanne - Maël Morigny - Yaël Mouanga Emmanuel Abbey - Andréa Vennettelli - Fils-Whissy Ndong Bibang - Marley Etienne Ezechiel Didehi - Elijah Owona - Ange Gobe Edited August 13 by Makoto Nakamura
Makoto Nakamura
We couldn't get a training facility upgrade agreed, but these two will do!
Makoto Nakamura
2025/26 Pre-Season A mixed pre-season doesn't fill me with hope, after a quick check we have six players who are rated as good enough for this league with everybody else rated good enough for the league below, and with our oldest player just celebrated his 21st birthday so it's only going to get better! Almost everyone looks evenly matched, this could be an exciting league!
Makoto Nakamura
August 2025 Just the three games so far but it's a pretty good adjustment to a new league!
Makoto Nakamura
Well, this is far from ideal.
Makoto Nakamura
September 2025 Late goals guarantee us six points, which great because we couldn't score at home in front of 22,000 fans.
Makoto Nakamura
October 2025 Much better, we even won at home (just!) It is looking like a really close league where everyone can beat everyone and just four points separating the top six. We face French-Basque club Aviron Bayonnais in the Seventh Round!
leobiazzi
I love how the French cup is open to all or nearly all French cups. Meanwhile, only 92 clubs attended the Brazilian Cup this year. It's ridiculous

But could you imagine a competition from July-September/ October for clubs from each French region face each other like the State Championship. It is a shame that barely any clubs are in the Brazilian Cup though.
Makoto Nakamura
November 2025 A narrow loss to Cannes but a great month other than that as we keep pressure on at the top end of the table! Think this will be more difficult to break now!
Makoto Nakamura
That is a rather tough tie.

Makoto Nakamura
January 2026 A narrow defeat in the cup against Nantes which saw us have a record attendance and we get another big win in the league!
Makoto Nakamura
February 2026 We're beginning to slip up at a crucial time with both Cannes and Vendee Herbiers hot on our tails and Rennes 2 looking like they can no longer be caught.
Makoto Nakamura
2025/26 Youth Candidates I feel like I should be happy with four players with 5* potential, but this feels like a downgrade on last season.
Makoto Nakamura
March 2026 Of course I say that Rennes 2 were looking uncatchable, and then they lose two on the bounce including to us which means that ourselves and Cannes are still right in the title race!
leobiazzi
Let's go get that title!
Makoto Nakamura
2025/26 End of Season Review Typical. We would've missed out on head-to-head with Cannes anyway but this does feel like a little bit of a punch to the gut. Now to keep the team together as they get another year older and go again next season, our oldest player is still only 21 years old so plenty of room for improvement and we were ony predicted to finish down in 8th. Overall Best XI 2025/26 Best XI Georges Grimaud Emmanuel Abbey - Hugo Capblanne - Maël Morigny Jérémy Clauss (YP1b) - Andréa Vennettelli - Fils-Whissy Ndong Bibang - Marley Etienne Ezechiel Didehi - Elijah Owona - Ange Gobe
Makoto Nakamura
The board allowed one upgrade, no to training facilities and junior coaching though.
Makoto Nakamura
2026/27 Pre-Season Goals galore and it's an unbeaten pre-season! Predicted much better than last season in what is expected to be a really close league again. Edited August 16 by Makoto Nakamura
Makoto Nakamura
August 2026 I'll take that! the only unbeaten game after three games.
Makoto Nakamura
September 2026 Still unbeaten but poor results at home see us fall to second. First cup game of the season and we get a rather nice draw.
Makoto Nakamura
October 2026 Two great big cup wins and a much harder fought game in the league! Our first trickier tie.
Makoto Nakamura
November 2026 So close to perfect with just the one goal conceded but we remain in second place but also still in the Cup! Where we'll be facing off against a team from our league, Vendée Herbiers.
Makoto Nakamura
December 2026 I'm grateful for just the two games this month, we were without our first choice goalkeeper for the cup game and without our first and second choice goalkeeper for the win over Rouen. We only have three goalkeepers and we're having a lot more injuries than last season. Another winnable tie! 5* intake...I'm not seeing a 5* preview.
Makoto Nakamura
January 2027 We have finally hit the top of the table after Rennes 2 lose against Havre AC 2! And we're still in the French Cup!
Makoto Nakamura
February 2027 Our mammoth unbeaten run finally comes to an end against Avranches but we remain a massive sixteen points clear of Vendée Herbiers, the team next able to be promoted! We also managed to put up a great fight and only lose narrow to Lorient in the Quarter Final of the Coupe de France!!
sherwinriga
I'm very thrilled that you have finally taken over Bordeaux and helped them getting developed for a better future in rebuilding a fallen French team into the next level! I have to say that this one is definitely a great save that you put up so far, just like how you have done with Azul Claro Numazu in pre-release. I hope that you'll be able to bring their glory back to the next level as long as you're going to make them as the resurging force in France for sure! Speaking of which, I was surprised that there's a Japanese guy named Hiroya Ozeki used to be part of the club before being on loan to Anglet. I could possibly smell a sister club affiliate with Japan if you're pursuing to partner with Kyushu clubs in the J.League such as Avispa Fukuoka, Sagan Tosu, V.Varen Nagasaki, Oita Trinita, Roasso Kumamoto, Kagoshima United, Giravanz Kitakyushu, FC Ryukyu and Tegevajaro Miyazaki. Possibly, you can send Ozeki to Avispa or Giravanz very soon because he would love to play in Japan as soon as he develops well in Anglet. Anyway, if you'll be able to help Bordeaux back on top in a few years, then, you might want to partner with different clubs in the future. That's my thought on how it's going to be but I would imagine if French guys can develop better as long as they have enough money to survive. I'm a fan of Girondins de Bordeaux due to them being a club that has been looked great in the past and hopefully, you'll be able to fulfill their dreams of getting back into Ligue 1 McDonalds, the top flight of French football for sure! Makoto Nakamura
April 2027 Decided to add the Jura Sud match in with the April update and it's gone rather well as every other match went perfectly and we've guaranteed ourselves 3rd tier football next season!
Makoto Nakamura
2026/27 End of Season Review A bumper crowd saw us draw the final game of the season to already relegated Rouen, now we'll have to adjust to life in the 3rd tier without our first choice goalkeeper who's decided to leave on a free transfer! Overall Best XI 2026/27 Best XI Georges Grimaud Emmanuel Abbey - Hugo Capblanne - Juddy Mayele (YP1a) Régis Nsiala (YP1e) - Andréa Vennettelli - Fils-Whissy Ndong Bibang - Marley Etienne Néstor Taborda (YP2b) - Ezechiel Didehi - Elias Labrousse (YP1c)
