Ernst Happel's Feyenoord tactical emulation for Football Manager 24 features a 433 with a gegenpress tactical style and an attacking mentality. The possession screen features a fairly narrow width and a build-up with the ball starting on the ground from the defense and developing centrally. The passing style is shorter with a high tempo. Crosses are tight and the defense is approached with the ball at the feet, leaving the team to be creative.

 

 

In the transition screen we find full-field pressing and a counterattack with the goalkeeper starting the action by serving central defenders. In the non-possession screen, however, the defense line is higher with a high pressing line. The pressing is at its maximum and we disturb the opponent's construction. The roles include a free attacking goalkeeper, a defender who sets up and a classic defender. The two full-backs are complete support wingers. As always I tested for you the tactical emulation of Ernst Happel's Feyenoord for Football Manager 24 in a dry season without doing any transfers or team management such as training etc. I never changed tactics before or during the match. The database used is from the 66/67 season.

Feyenoord went on to win the championship and the Johan Cruijff Shaal, while losing the Champions Cup in the final in extra time against Milan and the semi-final of the Dutch Cup on penalties against Volendam , who would later go on to win the competition.

 

In the Eredivisie, Happel 's team will detach their rivals Ajax by four points, winning the championship with 86. The clear difference, however, will be the difference with Feyenoord who will close at +105 thanks to 121 goals scored and only 16 conceded, while the Lancers will close with +63. Ball possession will be at 67% and the Xg will be 106.12 (2.89 per game). 20,947 passes completed and 252 chances created with 799 shots of which 351 on target.
