Editing players names

Using the ingame editor changing a certain player name or last name will also change all the other players that share the same name or last name. How to circumvent that and how to be able to change a particular player name without affecting any other players

You could try using an lnc file.

This is the approx. file path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2024\data\database\db\2430\lnc\all

Make a notepad file there and save it as .lnc

The code you want in the file is:

“CHANGE_PLAYER_NAME” UID “First” “” “Last”

Replace UID with the player's unique ID number. And First/Last with the desired first/last names.

Checked it with my game as well (first name change instead). No issue either.

@TelePass22 what game version are you playing? Steam, Epic, Windows, Mac, Console? Could be that you are playing one that has a big in IGE, but we need to be sure so we know a bug needs to be logged.
