Player unhappy, no conversation

Just taken a job at a recently relegated club, and four or five of their players had slt icons, stating that they wanted to leave due to the club being relegated.

Been there three weeks, played one league game, no offers have come in for any of them.

Out of the blue, I've noticed that this player now has an "unh" icon because he is "unhappy with how his manager has treated him", and three quarters of my squad are supporting him.

I've had this happen following conversations about transfer listing or rejected bids from other clubs, but there have been no bids for this player, no conversations, and I've double checked and I've not missed any inbox items saying he wants to discuss anything.

Anyone ever seen this happen before when there has been no trigger at all? This player started - and scored - in my first game, was happy with team talks & the like.
