(FM 2024) Glorious success or glorious failure. Attempting to win the Champions League or highest honours at every club I take over. Job 1: Al Nasr SC (All set for the 2025-26 season as we go towards doing our best to win trophies)

The first club I am going to take over is Al Nasr SC, the club in the place where I live in Dubai. This is what the squad looks like. We will do our best to win the Asian Champions League. Which means, no surprise resignations like my previous saves. I either stick it out or get sacked. The tactic we are going to use is the Gegenpress tactic.

Two big departures.

Ahmed Shambih went to Al Fateh for 750k pounds. Yes we replaced him with Diego Lopez.

Glauber went to Ittihad Kalba for 1.1 million pounds. Good centre back, but if we want to challenge for the league and win the Asian Champions League he is not quite it.

Keeping Ahmed Shambih would have been sentimental and considering the fact Diego Lopez was available it was only right to let him go.

New signing.

Antonio Adan has joined Al Nasr (UAE) from Sporting Lisbon for 1.6 million pounds. The former Real Madrid, Real Betis and Sporting CP keeper has come in to bolster our goalkeeping department after Diego Lopez got injured. Now we have two top class keepers for this level.

Final signing of the summer transfer window (2023-24 season)

Jaume Costa joins Al Nasr (UAE) for 235k pounds from Mallorca. The former Villarreal and Valencia full back will hopefully provide a solid base in defense for us and that is what we are looking for.

Mid season review (2023-24 season)

We are 5th in the UAE Pro League after getting 23 points from 13 games. We got knocked out of the President's Cup by Sharjah in the second round. And we are in the semi final of the UAE League Cup.

The top performers so far are Iuri Medeiros, Cedric Bakambu and Peniel Mlapa.

Cedric Bakambu has scored 16 goals so far mid season and he has got 3 assists so far. Iuri Medeiros is the creative spark and he has 4 goals and 10 assists. Peniel Mlapa has scored 8 goals and he has 2 assists so far.

Three major departures in the January transfer window (2023-24 season)

Ryan Mendes da Graca moved to Al Ettifaq for 180k pounds, his former Al Nasr teammate Peniel Mlapa also moved to Al Ettifaq for 675k pounds. Yes Peniel Mlapa is a big departure but the deal had to be done. Khalid Jalal went to Al Hazem for 40k pounds. All three players moved from the UAE to the Saudi Pro League.

We have now got some money and there will be some additions to the squad soon.

New signing.

We have made our first signing in the January transfer window of the 2023-24 season and it is Renato Augusto from Corinthians for 625k pounds. The former Bayer Leverkusen, Beijing and Corinthians midfielder will hopefully provide some much needed quality in midfield and help us push us up in the table and towards winning trophies.

Two departures and two arrivals in the January transfer window (2023-24 season)

Mohammed Juma went to Fujairah on loan and Abdulaziz Sanqour went to Dibba Al Fujairah on loan.

Now onto the signings.

We have signed Damian Suarez from Getafe for 115k pounds. The former Getafe right back will hopefully provide some stability at the back.

The next signing we have made is a bit of a coup to be honest. Yes it is Samuel Umtiti who has joined us here at Al Nasr (UAE) on a free transfer, the former Lyon and Barcelona centre back will provide stability at the back and it is a quality addition to our defense.

So in total we have made three signings in the January transfer window. Hopefully this leads to a higher league position and trophies.

End of season review. (2023-24 season)

We finished 5th in the UAE Pro League with Al Nasr SC and we got 46 points from 26 games. We also reached the UAE League Cup final which we lost against Al Wahda (UAE). 5th place and a cup final is not so bad, I am really happy with the progress we are making.

The top performers this season were Cedric Bakambu who scored 28 goals and got 6 assists in 29 games. Iuri Medeiros who got 5 goals and 16 assists was our creative spark. Dembo Darboe is a star in the making after scoring 6 goals in 7 starts and 4 sub appearances, he also got an assist.

A few departures in this summer transfer window of the 2024-25 season.

Hamdan Al Kamali went to Al Khaleej in Saudi Arabia for 88k pounds. Gustavo Mueller went to Al Okhdood in Saudi Arabia for 120k pounds. Abdoulaye Toure went to Dibba Al Fujairah on loan.

There was a departure I did not mention that happened in February. Omar Juma Al Shuwaihi went on loan to Vikingur R. in Iceland.

Four major departures have happened in the 2024-25 summer transfer window.

Grzegorz Krychowiak went to Rostov in Russia for 250k pounds. Cedric Bakambu went to Anderlecht for 800k pounds. Aridane Hernandez went to Club Brugge for 230k pounds. Iuri Medeiros went to Rayo Vallecano for 1.7 million pounds. Yes I am aware that the core of my team has been dismanted, however I am looking to strengthen the squad with some quality additions.

New signing. (Summer 2024-25)

We have signed Federico Gattoni from Sevilla for 7.75 million pounds. He is tipped to be Aridane Hernandez's replacement. So hopefully he and Samuel Umtiti can form a solid partnership together.

Also, Aston Villa offered me a job interview but I turned the job down, like I said, no surprise resignations, no moving to clubs until I achieve the objective of winning the Asian Champions League because I am at a club based in Asia.

New signing.

German Valera has joined Al Nasr SC on loan from Atletico Madrid. This is a very good developmental signing as Valera gets to develop his skills in the UAE and then goes back to Atletico Madrid in the summer, so if he does well here, we could keep our reputation for being a rehabilitation club for Europe's lost talents so that they can perform well in the UAE and then leave for a club in Europe or wherever else if someone wants to buy them. He is touted to be the Iuri Medeiros replacement.

New signing.

Rudi Pozeg Vancas joins Al Nasr SC on a free transfer. Hopefully the 30 year old winger can provide that creative spark. This guy is a diamond in the rough and we found him through rigorous scouting. I hope he is a difference maker for our team.

Also on the save, Italy won Euro 2024.

New signing.

Siriki Dembele joins Al Nasr SC on loan from Bournemouth. The former Peterborough and Bournemouth winger will provide some much needed pace to the attack and I don't know who will start as the striker, either it is going to be Dembo Darboe and Kevin Agudelo, but German Valera and Siriki Dembele are now good options in the attack.

One more arrival and one more departure in the summer transfer window of the 2024-25 season.

We signed Abderrazak Hamdallah on a free transfer. The goal machine joins us and he looks to be a capable replacement for Cedric Bakambu. I hope the former Al Ittihad, Al Nassr, Al Rayyan and Guangzhou R&F striker bangs in the goals like he did for his previous clubs, it is crazy that he has not played for a top European club but he has been an insane goalscorer all over Asia. Here is his record.

Also Renato Augusto went to Tractor, a club in Iran for 52k pounds.

4 new signings in midfield as we beef it up.

Tom Cairney and Dennis Praet have joined Al Nasr SC on free transfers. The former Fulham midfielder, Tom Cairney did well in the Premier League and is quite a coup for this level. Dennis Praet joined on a free as well, after leaving Leicester City. He did okay in the Championship, but I am pleased to have added some star quality to the midfield.

To add some depth to the squad, we brought in Gege and Dmytro Ivanisenya. Gege came from Brazil, and Ivanisenya came in from the Russian Premier League on free transfers.

Mid season review (2024-25 season)

We are 4th in the league after getting 23 points from the first 13 games. Yeah I will take it. We also made it to the quarter finals of the President's Cup so far and we are in the semi final of the UAE League Cup so far.

Top performers at the moment are Kevin Agudelo who has got 7 goals and 7 assists in 16 games at the moment, German Valera who has 4 goals and 6 assists in 16 games and Siriki Dembele who has 6 goals and 2 assists in 5 starts and 8 sub appearances.

The January transfer window has opened in the 2024-25 season. And there is one departure and two arrivals. Kevin Agudelo has gone to Al Rayyan in Qatar for 2 million pounds.

Azizjon G'aniev has joined us on loan from Shabab Al Ahli and Gonzalo Verdu has joined us on loan from Al Jazira (UAE). Hopefully these two domestic signings help us get a trophy and push us up the league.

Also the current president of the club won the elections and is now serving a second term.

2 more departures this January transfer window in the 2024-25 season and one more arrival.

Dembo Darboe has gone to Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia for 3.6 million pounds. The money we got for Darboe is great and it was too good to turn down. Rashed Salem Mubarak has gone on loan to Fujairah. Elisha Owusu has joined Al Nasr SC from AJ Auxerre for 1.4 million pounds. He also played for Gent in Belgium and Olympique Lyon in France although he did not make an appearance for Lyon. I hope he provides some steel in midfield supporting the other midfielders.

We made 3 new signings in the January transfer window (2024-25 season)

Kelvin Yeboah joins Al Nasr SC from Genoa for 2.7 million pounds. The former Genoa and Augsburg striker has been brought in to beef up the attack and make it more versatile. Umut Tohumcu joins us on loan from TSG Hoffenheim. The young midfielder is someone who will provide some much needed mobility to the midfield. And we have signed another player, Walter Gonzalez. This guy is a goalscorer. And I hope he can take the load off Abderrazak Hamdallah and be better than Dembo Darboe. We signed him for 800k pounds from Olimpia in Paraguay.

We made 2 final deadline day signings here at Al Nasr SC.

Stefano Sensi has joined the club from FC Internazionale for 375k pounds. The former Inter, Sassuolo, Sampdoria and Monza midfielder will definitely provide some star quality to our midfield. And the final signing this window is Fraser Forster from last year's champions of the UAE Pro League, Al Ain for 425k pounds. This is a fantastic signing. The former Newcastle, Southampton, Celtic and Tottenham keeper will definitely provide an edge to the team we severely lack and Antonio Adan will be phased out.

A very late addition to the squad, this signing was made outside the transfer window.

Nathaniel Phillips joins the club on a free transfer. The former Liverpool centre back has been brought in to provide some much needed calmness and stability to the defense. Samuel Umtiti has produced stinker after stinker and is statistically one of the worst players this season, which made me wonder how the hell did he play for Barcelona in the past. This guy is a finished footballer. Just about average for this level and nothing more.

End of season review.

We finished 5th in the UAE Pro League and we got 44 points in 26 games. We made it to the semi final of the UAE League Cup where we got beaten by Ajman on penalties. And I am going to save the best part of the season for the end.

We won a trophy this season. We won the President's Cup. We beat Al Jazira (UAE) in the final and won the game 1-0. Siriki Dembele scored the winner. He is a cult hero for this club now here at Al Nasr SC.

Also, as a result of winning the President's Cup, we have qualified for the Asian Champions League next season.

Al Ain have won the UAE League Cup.

This is how the squad performed this season.

The top performers this season are German Valera, who got 11 goals and 11 assists this season and is our top goalscorer. Siriki Dembele, as I mentioned is a cult hero in the save and he got 9 goals and 8 assists this season. Kelvin Yeboah is another top performer and he is the rising star of our team despite only being a January signing. He has got 4 goals in just 6 starts and 1 sub appearance.

We have made our first signing of the summer transfer window of the 2025-26 season. It is Dijon Kameri on loan from RB Salzburg in Austria. I hope the young talented player makes a difference to our team. Also there are two departures, Isaac Tshibangu joined Al Taawoun in Saudi Arabia for 575k pounds and Gege signed for Al Okhdood in Saudi Arabia for 400k pounds.

Four new signings in the summer transfer window of the 2025-26 season.

Gonzalo Verdu joined on a permanent deal from Al Jazira (UAE) after being on loan at Al Nasr SC last season for 56k pounds. The next signing we have made is our star player last season. Yes, German Valera has signed on a permanent deal after being on loan at Al Nasr SC. He has signed from Atletico Madrid for 3.6 million pounds. Also we signed two other players. Emil Forsberg has arrived at Al Nasr SC on a free transfer after his contract with RB Leipzig expired. Also we signed Sebastian Perez on a free transfer after his contract with Boavista in Portugal expired.

One new signing and one departure. (Summer transfer window of the 2025-26 season)

Ramadan Sobhi signs for Al Nasr SC from Pyramids in Egypt for 925k pounds. The former Stoke, Huddersfield, Al Ahly and Pyramids winger will provide some much needed creativity to the attack and finally this might be the club where he will realize his potential that he did not quite do when he was in England.

Also, Samir Memisevic went to Panetolikos in Greece for 600k pounds. He was a great and solid presence at our club and he will be missed. Always stepped up despite better players coming in and was a true fighter.

New signing.

Kamal Sowah joins Al Nasr SC on a free transfer. The former Club Brugge and Leicester player will certainly provide a creative spark which is needed and also some pace to the attack. We are really preparing our squad to compete in the Asian Champions League this season.

One more signing and one more departure.

We brought in Edwuin Cetre from Independiente Medelin in Colombia to Al Nasr SC for 675k pounds. He has a bag of tricks and I hope he can show his qualities in Asia.

The player who has departed is Samuel Umtiti. He has gone to Al Shamal in Qatar for 1.6 million pounds. Good riddance to bad rubbish to be honest. He downed tools last season and did not play well for me. Also was a troublemaker in the dressing room, just a bad influence overall. When we signed him he was so promising and it really looked like he could kickstart his career after the lost years at Barcelona in the UAE and perhaps secure a move back to Europe if he did well, but no, he decided to burn bridges and now he is in Qatar.

I hope the club moves on from this chapter and we defend better with the defenders we have at the moment.

Another signing, another departure.

Ricardo Alves joins us at Al Nasr SC on a free transfer after his contract with Tractor in Iran expired. Abdoulaye Toure went on loan to ASEC Mimosas. Hopefully his spell back in Ivory Coast freshens him up and gives him the motivation to be a top footballer.

Nico Paz joins us at Al Nasr SC on loan from Brighton. The former Real Madrid player is here to develop himself in Asia and contribute to our team. The next signing is Junior Mwanga from Bordeaux in France. We signed him for 2.1 million pounds. Hopefully he provides some stability in defense.

Final three signings this summer transfer window in the 2025-26 season. And one departure.

Conor Bradley has come to Al Nasr SC on loan from Liverpool. Benjamin Andre has joined the club from Lille in France for 550k pounds. The former Lille and Rennes player is a depth signing. And we made another cheap depth signing as we got Mateus Santos on a free transfer.

Meanwhile Abderrazak Hamdallah has moved to Wydad Casablanca in Morocco for 60k pounds. It is a move that works out for him and he has moved back home to Morocco.
