Carambau
Last Season Last season (23/24) Galatasaray only managed to finish 2nd in the Turkish League. Again, only runners up. This time in the Turkish Cup. After finishing 3rd in the Group Stage of the Champions League, Galatasaray had to settle for the Europa League and reached the Quarter Final. It was a European Season dominated by England. Manchester City won the Champions League. Manchester United won the Europa League. Aston Villa won the Europa Conference League. England won the EUROs. After the season, manager Okan Buruk was fired and in comes Joe Baxter. Let the 2024/25 season begin. Edited October 13 by Carambau
Carambau
Season 2024/25 SUMMER TRANSFERS Yusuf Demir once was deemed a wonderkid but somehow it went all wrong and after spells at Rapid and even a short spell at Barcelona he is now back in Austria on loan. And he even counts as "Foreign" for us as he is not even Turkish! Eyüp Aydin in a great talent who needs match practice so it was a no-brainer to loan him out. We needed to free up some foreign player spaces so we sold Tete, Cicaldau, Sergio Oliveira, Dubois and Muslera. The sale of Muslera caused some dressing room trouble about having to little quality in goal now but I promised to bring in adequate keepers. And then we sold Zaniolo to Juventus. There was no way he would stay here and so we took the money. He only played 10 games last season for us anyway. We made around 30M profit in the summer transfer market this season which is mostly because we signed 3 players on a free and brought in real bargains, with some big names among them. For the demanded "more quality in goal" we signed the Spanish Olympic team goalkeeper Sanchez, Turkish National team goalkeeper Bayindir and young Turkish prospect Alemdar and soon the dressing room went quiet again, Problem solved. Ziyech, Kutucu and Martial will strengthen our wing play, while Thiago shall be our central midfield schemer. Türkmen was already an agreed deal under the helm of Okan Buruk, missing the quality and was therefore loaned out right away. Same goes for young Turkish winger talent Yumurtaci. Carambau
Season 2024/25 THE TEAM Goalkeepers In goal, we completely started from scratch after selling/releasing all former first team GKs. Robert Sanchez and Altay Bayindir will battle for number one. Dogan Alemdar has a lot of potential (and already 2 caps for Turkyie) and will probably play the domestic cup games to keep him competitive. Defenders There were no new signings for our defense, the only new face is Kazimcan Karatat, who we promoted from our U19 team to cover for the left Wing Back position. Davinson Sanchez should be our leader here, alongside either Victor Nelsson, Abdülkerim Bardakci or Kaan Ayhan. Emin Bayram still has a lot to learn. For the right Wing Back position, we have Serge Aurier and Derrick Köhn battling it out. Midfielders A lot going on here. Veteran midfield schemer Thiago was signed to control our game from the central midfield position, alongside Lucas Torreira. On the wings, Hakim Ziyech, Wilfried Zaha and Baris Alper Yilmaz should be the ones to terrify our opponents. Kerem Demirbay will cover for central midfield, while Yunus Akgün can do that and also play in the right wing. Attackers Our two main attackers will be Mauro Icardi and Anthony Martial. Their backups will be new signing Ahmed Kutucu and Eren Aydin, who got promoted from our U19s team. THE TACTICS We will play a variation of my proven "Lobanowski" tactic, used in former saves. Carambau
Season 2024/25 August & September A nearly flawless start into the new season. We overcame Antalyaspor with a penalty by Demirbay on the first match day, then trashed Göztepe 4-0 with a Zaha brace but then we just could not find the goal against Ankaragücü and in the end could be lucky to not have lost because they had the clearer chances.. But we made up for that by defeating Fatih Karagümrük 3-0 and shipped five goals each versus Rizespor and Konyaspor. It is still early days but look at Adana´s impressive start! We can proudly announce that we have made it to the League Phase of the Champions League. The qualification matches were mostly comfortable - the tie with Lugano was already over after the 1st leg and we cruised past a surprisingly uninspired Porto - with the exception of the 2nd leg vs PSV which we had to win by 2 goals and we did. Thank god there are some beatable teams among our opponents like AEK, Kobenhavn, Crvena zvezda and Slavia. We already snatched a draw at Milan, too. yunusgs
Hi @Carambau As a Galatasaray Fan, it is great that you made a strong start to the season and continued with the team's primary goal of "beating non-Turkish teams" and advanced to the league stage in the Champions League. With the reinforcements you will make to the squad in the coming years, you can first ensure continuity in the Champions League and then play to win the Final and the Cup, I have no doubt that you will enjoy it very much.

Carambau
Season 2024/25 October & November We remained unbeaten in the League. Goal bonanzas were followed by narrow wins and the only draw and then 2 comfortale wins again. One result sticks out however: Our 7-0 trashing of rivals Fenerbahce! The early red card against them but by then we were already 2-0 up. A wonderful win we dedicated to our loyal fans! Adana could not keep up the high pace and lost 4 games in the last 2 months. No one expected us to perform this clinical to be honest. We beat the so-called "beatable" teams and got 10 points now after 5 matches (including the draw with Milan earlier) with 3 games still to come. And we gave PSG a good fight despite our defeat. Qualification for the next round looks almost secured with 10 points. Edited October 16 by Carambau
Carambau
Season 2024/25 December & January WINTER TRANSFERS Some surprises there indeed! Köhn & Davinson Sanchez are gone and Nelsson is loaned out with an optional future fee for Al-Raed as well. Robert Sanchez was complaining all the time but did not perform when called up so he went on loan too. The plan is to get in more Turkish players. We had to react following the long-term injury of Icardi in December and brought in the very talented young striker Destan. To compensate to loss of Davinson Sanchez, we signed experienced, but still young central defender Ozan Kabak. For Robert Sanchez we brought in veteran keeper Volkan as 3rd keeper. Özcan is a very talented left Wing Back, Bayrak is a great right Wing Back talent but isn´t ready yet and was immediately loaned out to Ankaraspor. This looks promising. We are still unbeaten in the League and won every match in the last 2 months. New striker Destan showed he could be a crucial signing by scoring already in his first game for us. We defeated the reigning champions Trabzonspor as well as our rivals Besiktas. Those were tight games but we kept our calm and won. This is how you win championships. January also saw our first appearance in the Türkiye Kupasi: With a team mostly consisting of bench warmers, we won comfortably against amateur side Fethiyespor and will play against 2nd division outfit Somasspor in the next round. Fenerbahce are the only team that can keep up the pace and it is already a 10 point gap. We managed to snatch another 2 points in our remaining Champions League matches. This proved enough to see us through to the knockout rounds. The defeat against Inter was devastating, but this is what happens when you try to play an attacking game IN the San Siro. Lesson learned. In the end, it was easier than expected. We will play Celtic in the 1st knockout round. Edited October 20 by Carambau
yunusgs
The league is going very smoothly, just as I expected. However, in the Champions League, we are barely making it to the last 32 round. The problem caused by the foreign rule has been reflected in the transfer fees, but don't worry, you will receive double the amount paid to Ozan Kabak, Yasin Özcan and Enis Destan when you sell them in the following seasons.

Carambau
Season 2024/25 February & March We still haven´t lost a game! I think we should really aim for an undefeated season now that it is in our reach. Goals galore this season, and all that without our best striker Icardi who is still injured for 3 months! Poor Kasimpasa got hit the hardest. More important than that was the narrow win at our rivals Fenerbahce (which in fact was not that narrow as we dominated the match but just could not score more than that one goal) which surely delighted our fans. Our new striker Destan won the Player Of The Month award. In the Türkiye Kupasi, we easily disposed of 2nd tier team Somaspor and will now play Eyüpspor in the quarter finals. It´s 16 points now. I think we can slowly prepare for some title celebrations. Celtic were a tough nut to crack. And we only cracked it because we secured a very good first leg win with 2 goals. They pressured us without pause in the return leg in Celtic Park, but we held on and only lost 0-1 thanks to a great performance by Bayindir. Then the draw brought us Manchester City. And we performed heroically in the first leg at home, holding them to a draw in a sheer goal fest. However, they made sure to advance to the next round in the return leg easily. Nothing to see here, the graduates this year don´t look like any of them could made it into our team one day. Our fan @yunusgswas once again right with his analysis of our youth academy: We definitely will have to increase the quality here. The board although think differently and refused our request to improve the youth facilites. But we won´t give up. Carambau
Season 2024/25 April, May & June Here come the invincibles! We managed not to lose one game in the League this season. Which is not an easy feat when you got rivals like Fenerbahce, Trabzonspor and Besiktas hunting for your heads. There was that game versus Trabzonspor when all that hang on a tiny thread but it did not tear and so here we are, undefeated for the whole season. 102 points is a new league record as well. And we increased the League titles to 24. There is still another competition - the Türkyie Kupasi and we made sure we reached the final. Against who? Against our old rivals Fenerbahce of course! The Cup Final itself was not a good game, we scored early, then set back, they had a lot of long shots which ended up as an easy prey for our keeper. But in the end we won it and thats what counts. Perhaps almost more important was the return of long-time injury victim Icardi to our starting eleven. And he promptly was voted the man of the match after assisting in the decisive goal that won the cup. SEASON STATS Galatasary Player Of The Year Here we go. Who would have thought that our January signing Destan would be the player with the highest average rating for us this season? Or that our Cup goalkeeper Alemdar would come second closely behind him? Or that Icardi would come third, despite missing almost half of the season? All in all, it was a great team effort and absolutely EVERYONE contributed (well, apart from Volkan but he likes to take things slow as we know). Ziyech became our topscorer despite playing on the wings and all of our new signings (well, again apart from Volkan) did a fantastic job, helping us to win the domestic double! And Baxter won the Manager Of The Year award. Edited October 21 by Carambau
Carambau
Season 2025/26 SUMMER TRANSFERS You will see a certain pattern throughout these departures. Most of them were non-domestic players. We sold all of them and now we can concentrate on keeping a team consisting solely of Turkish players or players who have Turkish as second nationality. Our Youth Facilities are already 19 out of 20, so we tried to upgrade our Youth Recruitment and Junior Coaching Budget, but the board declined. We will try again. We used up almost all our transfer budget for Turkish players. Emirhan Ilkhan is a young central midfielder who already has played in the Serie A and B in Italy, Veteran central defender Caglar Söyüncü is a well-known name in European football as he already played for Freiburg, Fenerbahce, Leicester and Atletico Madrid. Emre Gökay is a talented winger who can play on both sides and Aral Simsir will give us more options in attack. Baris Berber will join our U19s at age 17 but he has a lot of talent. Edited yesterday at 07:55 by Carambau
Carambau
Season 2025/26 THE TEAM Goalkeepers Altay Bayindir is the clear number one, Dogan Alemdar is his backup and the domestic Cup goalkeeper and Volkan Babacan is the backup of the backup. Defenders These are a lot of central defenders! Yeah, but Metehan Baltaci (who was on loan at Eyüpspor last season), Yasin Özcan and Kaan Ayhan are planned as Wing Backs. So it will most probably be Abdülkerim Bardakci, Caglar Söyüncü or Ozan Kabak playing as the 2 central defenders. Emin Bayram will be the backup for them. Midfielders We lost a lot of good players here so this will be the part of the team that probably has to work the hardest. Efe Akman and Eyüp Aydin were out on loan last season and seem ready now to join our first team. They will provide backup for new signing Emirhan Ilkhan, who should play alongside Kerem Demirbay in central midfield. On the wings we got a lot of options, with Baris Alper Yilmaz being one of the most obvious candidates for a starting place. Attackers Enis Destan will of course be one of the starters here. Ahmed Kutucu is more a winger than an attacker, so new signing Aral Simsir would be the obvious choice. But our Academy Product Eren Aydin and newly promoted U19s player Recep Dilek (who impressed while out on loan at Denizlispor last season, scoring 12 goals in 23 matches) are also in contention for a place. THE TACTICS We will stick to the tactic for the time being. Edited yesterday at 14:20 by Carambau
Carambau
Season 2025/26 August & September Again a nearly flawless start into the season. After winning the TTF Süper Kupa, we started very well with 2 high scoring wins but then it got harder. Fenerbahce held us to a draw at home (and we missed a late penalty too) and we could not score a goal at Ankaragücü. But what happened in the Göztepe game before maybe had a big influence on all what followed: I subbed Ozan Kabak in the 80th minute to bring on some fresh legs. He did obvioulsy not like that and started to have a got at me so that there was no choice but to transfer list him and send him to the U19s. Unfortunately for him, the transfer window just passed and he will have to rot there for the next 6 months. I really hope this does not affect the rest of the team that much. Maybe Besiktas will challenge us this year. Man, this is going to be hard. Of all those teams only Antwerp seems to be on our level. We already lost the first match at Stamford Bridge, too. Carambau
Season 2025/26 October & November Still unbeaten in the League, Kayserispor did not let us score against them though. Lots of goal again. Hopefully we can keep that scoring power up in the next months. Besiktas are looking like the challengers this season. We did what we had to do - beat Antwerp. We lost to Tottenham but then we managed to get 4 points out of the two games against the Roman empire. 20th place. I´d be happy with that after 8 games. Carambau
Season 2025/26 December & January WINTER TRANSFERS Troublemaker Kabak is finally gone, to Arsenal. We could have gotten more for him if the circumstances had been different, but what can you do sometimes. Bayram did not get to play too many games for us so he left for Trabzonspor. Our number one keeper Bayindir and left Wing Back Özcan got offers they (and we) could not refuse from the EPL. Good riddance. We had to react to the departures: Former Turkish international keeper Ugurcan Cakir came in to replace Bayindir, Umut Öcal should provide backup for the left Wing Back position and Serdar Saatci gives us more options in central defense. We also signed Can Uzun as he is a great central midfield talent. No defeat yet. We had 2 draws in the league and won the rest in the last 2 months. We also defeated Göztepe in a tight match to reach the next round of the Türkiye Kupasi. Fenerbahce had a good run and joined Besiktas as challengers. Thank god we beat Atletico Madrid! We lost against both French teams Monaco and Paris St.Germain but somehow managed to topple the Spanish side in a tight match. In the end, we just about made it and are very happy with that. We will play Rennes in the first knockout round. Edited Wednesday at 16:56 by Carambau

Carambau
Season 2025/26 Rest of games in April & May We lost ANOTHER game! No shame in losing at Besiktas though. Lots of goals at the end of the season which was nice for our fans too. 16 points less than last season but who cares if you still win the league by a 15 point margin? And Destan became the top goalscorer. Time for Revenge. Istanbul Basaksehir were the first team to beat us domestically since what felt like an eternity. Now they got beaten 4-0 when it really mattered. Double winners! SEASON STATS Galatasary Player Of The Year It is again Destan who wins our Player Of The Year award. And he deserved it by a mile. Baris Alper Yilmaz and Kutucu followed by quite a margin. Cakir proved it was the right decision to sign him as our new number one. Eyüp Aydin controlled our game from central midfield like a boss, Karatas is getting better and better and Can Uzun is maturing into a great playmaker too. A bit worrying is the lack of defenders with high average ratings but that may be one lesson to be learned from this season. Carambau
Season 2026/27 SUMMER TRANSFERS The only prominent name in the departure list this summer is Eyüp Aydin, the rest was deadwood we had to load off. We have a new affiliate club in Kasimpasa in the 2nd division to send out our young players on loan and we made the most of it: Seven players went out on loan to them. 2 players were loaned to Ankaraspor, Akman was loaned to Adana Demirspor and Ilkhan went to St. Etienne on loan. As we tweaked our tactics a little bit to play with a ball winning midfielder, we signed Yunus Emre Konak who fits the bill quite well. Our 3rd keeper Volkan retired so we brought in veteran keeper Muhammed Sengezer for his position. Nuran Ozar is a youngster who was sent out to Kasimpasa on loan right away. Zeki Celik improves our quality on the Wing Back positions and he can play on both sides. For the left side we signed Ridvan Yilmaz from Rangers.

Thank you for your feedback, this is much appreciated I hope Ridvan can at least improve our left back quality, he looks like he has the attributes to do it. We should definitely focus on Europe now. Jimbokav1971
It's weird. I've always been a little put-off managing in Turkey because of the names. I seem to remember a very short period in Turkey, but that's it throughout all my years playing CM/FM. I look at your players though and it doesn't seem bad. Especially the Yorkshire Aidan lad from Everton..... Ayup Aydan lad. (Apologies to any Turks, or anyone from Yorkshire reading this). In all seriousness the names no longer seem quite as alien as they once used to. Maybe I've just got used to them over time. Cerem looks fiiiiiiine by the way. I don't do cm so no idea how tall he is, but 14 jumping for a 15 year old right back is very nice, (on top of lots of other attributes that are even more nice).

Hey mate, you should really give it a try, it really is good fun here Cerem must be around 6.2ft then if the cm to ft calculator is right..
Carambau Posted Tuesday at 16:03 Author Share Posted Tuesday at 16:03 (edited) Season 2026/27 THE TEAM Goalkeepers Ugurcan Cakir is still the clear number one, Dogan Alemdar is his backup and the domestic Cup goalkeeper and Muhammed Sengezer is the backup of the backup. Defenders We now have better Wing Backs. And we also promoted Cankut Alkaya from our U19s. He is there to learn. Midfielders Ball winning midfielder Konak offers new possibilities in central midfield. But he is still young and needs time for sure. Attackers No changes here. THE TACTICS A little Tweak: The left CM is now a Ball Winning Midfielder and the right CM is now an Advanced Playmaker. Carambau Posted Tuesday at 16:15 Author Share Posted Tuesday at 16:15 (edited) Season 2026/27 August & September Again a nearly flawless start into the season. We also won the TFF Süoer Kupa again. Good to see we kept our scoring ability over the summer break but it is a real pity that our central defender Kaan Ayhan got injured in the very first match and will most probably miss most of the season. Trabzonspor are looking strong this season. Fenerbahce not so much. This looks far more managable than last season! We started with an enthusiastic win against Celtic and then predictably lost to Real. Not much to see here yet. Carambau Posted Tuesday at 18:00 Author Share Posted Tuesday at 18:00 (edited) Season 2026/27 October & November In the League, we have been extending our unbeaten run. The only downside being we didn´t score enough, especially during that draw against Samsunspor. Trabzonspor on our heels and Fenerbahce left behind in the dust. A credible draw against former giants Juventus was followed by the dismembering of FC Utrecht and a deserved loss vs Atleti at Wanda Metropolitano. On our way to qualify for the playoffs. NEWS I wonder when a Galatasaray player will appear here... Edited yesterday at 19:54 by Carambau
