Luckz
FM usually sees its last sale in August of the titular year, like how FM24 was 60% off from Aug 14 to 21 (but I unfortunately missed it). Some exceptions exist, like for FM18 it was June and for FM22 there was a sale in October as well. Now that FM25 is delayed, will FM24 stay buyable until early 2025 as well? Or will it be taken down as soon as next month? Will it go on 60% off sale in the Halloween and Christmas Steam sales and such? A bunch of friends of mine also haven't picked it up yet due to various reasons, and most of us can't benefit from the relatively affordable Europe-only retail & Steam keys due to their region locks. (Trivia: the last FM that had more than a 60/66% off sale was FM17 with an 80% discount in August of 2017.)
XaW
As far as I know, nothing has been officially communicated around this. I suspect it's not down to SI/SEGA alone, as I think there might be licensing agreements that could come into play. But this is all guesswork until it either happens, or SI release a statement regarding it.

Aim_Less
Never understood why they stop the sale of old football manager games once the new one drops. Considering current state of FM25 delay i assume the sale of FM24 will be available longer than on previous releases

That sounds like they have yearly contracts , witch sounds more costly to renew every year and not to mention more stressfully ? There's probably Sega handling that part but still sounds a more costly solution instead of longer contracts

When your customer is mainly companies that release a new product every year, why wouldn't you offer yearly contracts? These are the same companies that take the *order* of Premier League fixtures and lock then behind a licence. They're shameless, but unfortunately for SI, or any other company that wants them, you don't have much choice. Should all go back to the ISS days of no real players. Ryan Gigg running down the wing for Man Red. That's the stuff.
busngabb
It does have me wondering when it'll disappear from Gamepass. That long without FM will probably have me doing something daft like buying an Amiga to play Champ Man and Player Manager.

No as long as the new version is still not released confident FM 24 will still be available in Gamepass, however once the new game is released they do have to remove FM 24 due to most likely licensing. However now that you can carry on the save from previous versions of the game it's not a concern.
aaronmeadows38
3 weeks ago, I bought FM24 on steam. Unfortunately, I had to pay full price. I think this is crap. The closer to the fm25 release and cos of what has happened with fm25 release date, I think fm24 should be discounted online. Should be discounted atleast 10%

Luckz Posted Tuesday at 06:23 Author Share Posted Tuesday at 06:23 It's 50% off now. Worse than the usual 60%, but it is what it is.
