Contract start glitch?

I’m currently 2yrs into a journeyman save, started off in the Swedish fourth division with ifk Ostersund. After saving them from relegation, guiding them to a promotion playoff, and eventually champions, the following season I was approached by Oster, a team in the Swedish first division. 

The issue here is that they approached me before seasons end, and having only 3 matches left to be played, where I only needed to win one to be champions, I wasn’t exactly keen on jumping ship during the season. The job offer was enticing tho so I accepted it on the basis of joining the following season. 

Now, with my season ending in November 2025, and the first division ending at a similar time. I believed the contract would start pre season the following season, i.e ≈ January 2026. This is not the case however, I hadn’t read the fine print on the contract which said roundabout September time 2026.

So im now stuck at my last job going into a new division where I have 0 influence on transfers, etc. 

Is there anything I can do to fix this, I’m currently in December 2025 so not sure if it’s a visual glitch. Not at home currently when writing but am scared to progress further incase I can’t go back to a previous save before the contract acceptance. If that’s even a possibility.

Yeah, if you want the job, then just go on holiday and find something to do IRL to kill some time.

And set up 'Rolling Autosaves' as an option if you can - it's completely useless right up until it's an absolute lifesaver.
