Lung
Not sure about the graphics card, it'll run the classic 2d option well for sure. I'm running FM on my laptop too, and the 3d mode is a bit choppy prob. because laptops don't usually come with 128mb+ graphics cards.

It says its got 1350mb approximately to use, does that share with the memory?
Wakers
Not sure how well your graphics card will cope. Also, the game might be slow at times for you - FM09 is nowhere near as "snappy" (if you can call FM08 that) as FM08. If you're getting 4gb ram, get Vista64 - otherwise its a waste of money. Where does football manager actuilly use graphics? apart from it's 3D pitch, if the laptop runs vista then it should definently run FM09.

The 3d pitch on that sort of graphics card may well be extremely laggy. Also, just to check, how much is that laptop? A lot of retailers overcharge for laptops by lumping in an extremely cheap graphics card combined with other decent components.
ljdzsgffk
Don't know why your asking, I can play Fifa 09 on my laptop with only 128MB memory graphics card and 1GB of ram! I doubt FM has better graphics than Fifa.

I probably won't use the 3d pitch anyway as it dosen't look nice.
Wakers
^ well because the 3d engine is not at all well optimised. For the primitive view that you get, it should not require anywhere near the system spec that SI shipped the game out with. You can have stunning graphics that require little to no graphics card power. Similarly, you can have horrible graphics that require a big graphics card and lots of processing power. It all comes down to how its coded.

This is my opinion but, whenever i buy a new computer, or recommend one to someone, or build one for someone, I never ever ever ever ever consider anything that doesn't have a dedicated/half decent graphics card in it - unless its priced under £250. baker.simon
You would get a lot more for your 500 quid in a desktop computer! Im fed up with my laptop, it plays 09 spot on dont get me wrong ,just toying with the idea of getting more for my money in a desktop! Plus i can lock myself in the spare room away from the mrs, she can watch telly downstairs, and i can replicate the days of 12-15 years ago when i was a lad and become a FM hermit! Its win win lol! Well tbh, the laptop specs are really good, and the graphics card can play assasins creed, and the sims 2. So it must be able to play 2d/3d.

But still, I think you can find something better for £500 - shop around a bit - check out dell's special offers, check out pcspecialist.co.uk, and ebuyer.co.uk
