offering contracts needs to be fixed

im in a title race with psg, im 3 points ahead with 3 games to go, everyones happy we are on a roll. one of my players wants a new contract, doesnt really deserve it but i said id give him one anyway. All whilst this was going on it was agreed i was joining a new club in the summer. so i go to offer him a new contract, but it says im not allowed to as im joining a new club soon. fair enough. inevitably, my player complains, but for some reason im not able to say its not my fault or anything. the player gets angry and goes public and tells his teammates. now whilst in a title race, all my team is upset my player cant get a new contract an blame it on me.

Hi, it does sound like a potential issue; we would appreciate it if you could post this issue on Bug Tracker and provide a save game just before your player requests for a new contract, please?

This is why I wish they would just remove these things that they put in to add artificial difficulty. Inevitably they fail to take into account a lot of things. Like I should know what the players demands are in advance. I want to know if he is going to have outrageous demands, like a squad player asking for play time as if he were an important player.. Or to be played in a role my tactic doesn't use. Instead I have to agree to it blind or risk a team wide mutiny.

Additionally a player shouldn't be able to ask for a new contract if he has more than 2 years left on his current contract.
