Hey guys, so I won promotion up into the championship with Bolton and we haven’t got much money so I wanted to ship out a few of the squad/fringe players but the transfer values have rocketed to insane amounts.

For example I had Aaron Collins as a sub most games he probably played 20 games last season he was pretty bad and had a low average rating and his transfer value was around 900k to 1.6M or something around that amount.

However now after promotion his transfer value has rocketed up to 6.5M-9M this just seems an insane jump to me, he’s got 2 years left on his deal and when I try to sell on the cheap to get some transfer budget the board block the transfer and won’t take less than 3.5M which absolutely no club is going to pay.

This issue is across the squad and this is making it really hard for me to strengthen this summer. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a common occurrence and also do players transfer values changed during the season if they have a low average rating or barely play a game?

Thanks.

There are multiple threads complaining about transfer values because for lots of people (including myself) it's something that's pretty stupid. I can generally understand the arguments people make when they say it's not unrealistic, but a League 1 clogger having his value skyrocket just because you got promoted is daft in any scenario.

In your specific example, you might be able to loan him out and at least free up his wages.
