Tactics Testing

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am going to start testing other people's tactics. These need to be uploaded into this thread, so that i can download them onto my pc.

To keep it fair, i will be trying them all with the same team, which is going to be Tottenham, i will not edit any of the uploaded tactics or instructions, i will not buy any players/coaches and i will play the same first 5 competitive games of a quick start season with each tactic.

After the 5 games i will report back with my findings and will give feedback on strengths, weaknesses and an overall summary of the tactic.

I have picked Spurs to try this with, as i beleive they have enough technical ability to be able to use any tactic to a decent standard, but the fact that they are not one of the 'big 4' will dis-spell those with the argument "that tactic only workes well because you were Chelsea, Man Utd etc".

I hope this will be an interesting read for everyone.

So, who's up first? ..........................

Hi Mate,

Give mine a try if you like.

Here's the thread

...and here's the Tactics

I'm having great success with these. Predominantly using the Standard Tactic, but using Attack for lots of homes games and games when I am favourite to win.

Let me know how it goes

Right, i have finally gotten round to testing this, and the results are as follows:

The Tactic:

spurstacoa9.th.jpg

The Results:

Spurs 1 -2 Wian

Spurs 1 - 1 Arsenal

Portsmouth 3 - 3 Spurs

Hull 0 - 3 Spurs

Spurs 1 - 1 Chelsea

The Pro's

- Only 1 loss in five games

- Plenty of goals scored

- Decent results against teams considered to be in 'the big 4' i.e Arsenal Chelsea

- Goals from both Midfield and Strikers

The Con's

- Only 1 win in 5 games

- Too many goals conceeded, especially at home

- Not enough dominating posession

- Not enough chances created by the midfielders for the strikers in all of the matches

Conclusion:

A decent tactic, that with some tweaking could be a belter. I suggest:

- Using the full backs as wing backs, and making them run with the ball and cross the ball

often.

- Increase the creative freedom of the non defensive CM.

- Make wide midfielders have a more attacking mentality.

- Stop one of the two forwards holding the ball up, and have him as a full attacking mentality.

Hope this helps. I really enjoyed testing your tactic out.

Thanks for giving it a go mate, but a couple of things. 5 games is nowhere near enough time to test a tactic. Second point, what were you doing to get those results lol. Check out the success everybody else has had with this tactic :-)
