After romping Div1A by about 20 points, the nuances of the Spanish Segunda B2 meant that I’d still to compete in a play-off to secure promotion. A 2-1 aggregate defeat to Div1D winners Pollok left me thinking I’d blown it until I found I was into another play-off. Cruised past Linlithgow Rose to make it a do-or-die final v. Deveronvale, and imagine my delight when Dave Graham slotted home in extra-time to send The Broch into the Scottish Championship at the first time of asking.

‘way the Burray. We're in with the Big Boys.... well the Big Boys Little Brothers..... next season.

Okay I'll upload a Revision which has amended the Competion Reps.

Scottish Premiership is now 13 (down from 18), i.e. in-line with SPL as it was

Scottish Championship is now 8 (down from previous 12)

Scottish Div 1 A to D is now 4 (down from 7)

This *should* mean that the regens aren't as unrealistic.

Just uploading, will be on the OP when done.

I have a couple of links for Pics, but both a bit dodgy, but can get jist of it! I believe the Home kit is in editor, but needs sponsor and also kit maker.

Kits are made by Nike and sponsored by See Me - http://www.seemescotland.org.uk/ (See me logo at top)

Home - http://www.bebo.com/PhotoAlbumBig.jsp?MemberId=4816236153&PhotoNbr=1&PhotoAlbumId=5863946753

Away - http://www.bebo.com/PhotoAlbumBig.jsp?MemberId=7913123711&PhotoNbr=1&PhotoAlbumId=9091263823

That any good?

Hoss if you prefer try these................

These are in this pack...........

I'd a bit of a shock in Season 2 - there must be an 8,500 (??) stadium requirement for the Championship so my Fraserburgh outfit went £7m into debt! Stadium will take 10 months to upgrade so i've moved to Chris Anderson Stadium to share with Lewis United. So the board took a loan and I'm paying back £70k/month. But then I got £1.7m up-front TV money before Season 2 started so its not all bad.

Dave is that right? I haven't really upped any Championship side's rep, I'd only left the league reps as they were in Spain. I'd jacked up some of the non-leaguers - just in line with the Scot Div3 sides - maybe its a combination.

Right here's an update on my holiday game.

I came home to find that it had successfully ran through a complete season (so that's a major plus), and it ran through to May 14th on Season 2.

I'd forgotten to mark the Fourth Tier as Scottish (my other leagues are), so this resulted in 18 relegations from Div 1 A to D but nobody to promote. Division 1D therefore had 2 teams in Season 2.

There's a Crash Dump occuring at May 14th in Season 2.

I strongly suspect this is related to the promotion issue.

There should be 4 x Teams from each of Divs 1 A to D who enter Play-Offs to get to my Championship. The final League Game here is May 9th, then the Play-Offs start May 16th (in Season 2).

On May 13th there are no Play-Off fixtures scheduled, then on May 14th Crash Dump - This has got to be the reason.

Here's some League Tables from the end of season 1

I'll persevere cos its looking okay so far

Nice to see Mussy escape relegation L4. I have to praise your commitment.

The regen issue may be something you can do nothing about, especially for any former Second and Third Division sides. These teams have absolutely pants players and the regens(even the ones in the real Scottish leagues) are usually on par or better than what you have. I think that either the rep of these clubs are too high by default, or the CA of the players are too low. I wouldn't reckon the CA being too low is the case as I go to Shielfield Park myself and have seen it for myself. It ain't pretty.

Off topic but on topic: Scottish FA meeting with SPL and SFL managers for ideas. What I've heard from the SPL managers, even including the Old Firm bosses, I gotta say this actually looks promising. I can't agree more that the 4 times a season is ruining clubs, Berwick used to average over 700, now we struggle to pull in more than 500 except at the end of a big promotion push, and everyone I know who stopped going(we had a big debate about this with Stenny fans at the pub after a game one time, and they agreed with us too) credits it to seeing the same teams too many times a season. The SFA seem to think that this will be in place for the 10/11 season. What are you guys thoughts?

On the regens thing – SI copped a lot of flack on FM08 due to the very poor quality of them. I’d be tempted to say that they’ve over-corrected it for this version.

Your On/Off-Topic thing Dave - This is often the topic of debate on the other forum I visit.

Being of an age when I can only ever remember 10 or 12 team leagues (and 4 games v. each per season) I’m all for it.

However, the old timers, who can remember the pre-Premier Division days – they can remember the mid-to-end of season drudgery that was served up. You’d neither be in a position to qualify for Europe/Promotion, nor would you be in danger of Relegation. So for these such clubs, the seasons often meandered along from Spring onwards.

We do need some change though. Something along the lines of the Dutch set-up, where there’s the Euro Play-Offs at the end of the season, that might be good. And a play-offs for the promotions from the lower division(s) also.

I’d also make the lower divisions regional, north and south, then you’d not need to travel so far and you’d more likely have derby games.

Ah, see, I got confused, I looked up Wikipedia and even though you're older than myself, the divisions had different structures back then. Before the current(well, one before last technically) the Second Division played 3 times(14 teams for 39 games, with the extra home/away of each team being rotated each season), as did the First Division in the format prior. It wasn't an ideal format, but is certainly better than what we currently have. It'd also be fantastic if there was more than 1 auto-promotion place. I feel this limits the excitement. Like when Berwick got promoted 2 seasons ago(and the following disaster) The rest of the clubs really had nothing to do except plump for a playoff place.

I feel that playoffs can be killer unless the divisions are at least 20, and I don't think we really have the teams to do this. While there's plenty of Highland, EoS(I'd LOVE to see Gala at Shielfield) and even junior teams who would be more than capable of the step up, most of them would probably require morning kick offs at any point past say October due to it being dark by 3-4pm and there being no floodlights. Another issue is whether the stadiums would be up to the job, fair enough, I've been to Albion Rovers, as well as Shire's old ground, and these places make Shielfield look like Wembley, but I don't think it would be a good idea to allow new teams in who have stadiums like this. Rather like the English Football League's stance on Conference teams.
