macca69
Sounds quite fun, being paired with different people etc. Mancienne ftw.
bridgekings
Good god, Malouda - i have a feeling he will come good, veryu good"/. Player of the year 09/10. Eurgh, I 100% do not endorse this post.
Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted January 8, 2009 Administrators Share Posted January 8, 2009 I can delete all evidence of it if you like. It'll still be on your conscience though.
skybluedave
Was Bridge first choice left back in Mourinho's first season? Del Horno 2nd, then Cole from 3rd onward?
bridgekings
No no, will serve as a reminder of the perils of drink. I feel dirty.
Benoit2
From what I remember, Bridge was first choice in 04/05. We sold our only other left-back, Babayaro, in the winter, and shortly afterwards Bridge broke his ankle. For the next 1,5 seasons, we had Gallas and Del Horno at left-back, as Bridge was injured/loaned out to Fulham. Then we signed Cole in 2006.

TheRandomGuy
been looking for that for ages. Still remember the commentary on the night. "Wayne Bridge...Eidur Gudjohnsen...it's BRIDGE!! IT'S IN!! IT'S CHELSEA'S NIGHT!!" ah, memories.
bridgekings
Great night that. That should have been our year. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yA2__3GC-gY On a very similar note, anyone know the name of the song in this?
macca69
I remember i was skiing with teh school and i asked (begged) the teacher too let us watch it. As i was quite pally with him, he decided that whoever wanted to watch it could, and the people who didnt (girls) could do other stuff. All game the Arsenal fans were giving it, they got a bit quiet after Lampard's goal, then when Bridge scored i was pretty much the only Chelsea fan, i just couldn't control my self and nearly got into a fight due to taunting Then found out Madrid had gone otu and was convinced we would win it. Not winning it brought Jose to the bridge though.
Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted January 9, 2009 Administrators Share Posted January 9, 2009 The song is Someday by Ash I went ****ing mental when Wayne scored that, what a God.
macca69
A nice finish too. I can't help but think this game against Utd is make or break for our season. Am i overplaying the enormity of this game?
deez0r
Think that goal was the most I have ever celebrated any Chelsea goal to date. Its not make or break by any means, we can afford to get beat and still be there or there abouts at end of season, would gladly take a draw though. Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted January 9, 2009 Administrators Share Posted January 9, 2009 Our season's long gone, we'll get arseholed 4-0, at least one red card (Deco my favourite), but Scolari will say we dominated.
mag man
We lose this game we got poor home form and poor away form too (by our standards). 2 draws, 1 loss.
Icelander83
Our season's long gone, we'll get arseholed 4-0, at least one red card (Deco my favourite), but Scolari will say we dominated. As much as I'd love that I think Drogba is more likely. He just seems so un-arsed it's unreal. Could see him doing all sorts of nonsense as long as he continues like that
TheRandomGuy
Drogba more likely to be arsed for a big game tbh. Hopefully he'll have learned from his act of putulant cuntery in Moscow and not rise to it when and if it boils over. We'll still lose though. Benoit2
Liverpool drawing against Stoke.. God, the top four being so laughable this season. I honestly think there is some kind of punishment for winning the PL this season.

Care Free
Watching what? All of the panelists just saying that Roman is going to **** off. What state the club would be in if we were to do that, and the problems we have at the club atm. Made some fair points though, saying players like Ferreira, Ballack, Deco who are on high contracts should be sold to, free up some money, and be replaced with young players (which i think is a fair point)
TheRandomGuy
Cech, Bosingwa, Carvalho, Terry ©, A Cole, Mikel, Ballack, Lampard, Deco, J Cole, Drogba. Subs: Cudicini, Ivanovic, di Santo, Ferreira, Kalou, Belletti, Anelka.

PMLF
Is it true that the main reason why Felipão hasn't been fired yet is because of the current financial crisis? TheRandomGuy
no point sacking him mid season tbf. He'll be gone in the summer, I'm fairly sure of that, unless things turn around, which doesn't look like happening.
