Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted January 28, 2009 Administrators Share Posted January 28, 2009 Decent game, awesome atmosphere at times. Place was roaring out with all anti Liverpool stuff for the last ten mins.
bridgekings
Enjoyed it tonight. Got the result, others dropped points, decent night. Highlight was seeing Stoch fall over the ball . Had a vision as he was running at the Boro defence of him going past them all and scoring. Couldn't have been more wrong. Thought we did alright, was very difficult because Boro, like Stoke, "parked the bus". Was very very difficult to break them down with the sheer number of players they had in and around the midfield. It's times like these that I wish we had real quality on the wings to stretch the opposition. Once we had scored the first the game opened up slightly and we looked better as Boro were forced to come at us more. Thought Anelka had a good game tonight, did well on the ball although maybe playing a little deep for my liking once Drogba came on. Think we would see a different player if he PROPERLY played up top with another forward. Still think our major problem is that our build up play is soo slow. We don't move the ball with enough pace for my liking. We really needed JT's run today to wake us up. Things like that are so very important in waking the crowd up, its a two way thing. The crowd are always expected to gee up the players but it works the other way too. A hard tackle or a great run does wonders to lift everyone although I thought there was a good atmosphere tonight. Mikel was great imo. Thought these stats were interesting: Mikel Total Passes 97 Accurate Passes 93% Goals 0 Shots on target 1 Challenges Won 100% Chances Created 0 Lampard Total Passes 58 Accurate Passes 91% Goals 0 Shots on target 8 Challenges Won 75% Chances Created 4 Ballack Total Passes 53 Accurate Passses 85% Goals 0 Shots on target 1 Challenges Won 28% Chances Created 2 Kalou Total Passes 34 Accurate Passes 85% Goals 2 Shots on target 4 Challenges Won 42% Chances Created 2 Anelka Total Passes 26 Accurate Passes 65% Goals 0 Shots on target 1 Challenges Won 57% Chances Created 2 Malouda Total Passes 28 Accurate Passes 92% Goals 0 Shots on target 1 Challenges Won 77% Chances Created 0 Bosingwa Total Passes 53 Accurate Passes 88% Goals 0 Shots on target 0 Challenges Won 55% Chances Created

Poyplemonkeys
Probably some European game. Seem to remember having a massive attendance for our Barca match up around 44k because of some technicality.
Poyplemonkeys
Oh, maybe not then. Lampard on 14 goals and 12 assists already. Sickening.
Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted January 30, 2009 Administrators Share Posted January 30, 2009 Not good enough for Arsenal though. That attendance was for WBA on Boxing Day.
deez0r
Carl Magnay is away to MK Dons on loan, always useful having former players managing in leagues below isnt it \o/. Also we have signed 17 year old Turk Gokhan Tore from Bayer Leverkeusen.
bridgekings
http://www.xn--gkhantre-n4af.com Thats his website. Camilieri, the young Italian centre half has gone back to Reggina. outlander
Massive game for us today, Title or no title tbh. Take a look at the league table. How on earth any result will be "title" for you?
TheRandomGuy
he means if we don't win we haven't got a chance of winning the title, which I agree with. All fairly irrelevant as United will walk it anyway.
Care Free
If we don't get one point then for us the title will be over. They will be 7 points clear and one game in hand so most probably 10 after that game. That would mean they need to slip up four times this season, and for us to win every game. Not a HUGE chance of that happening.
outlander
I just thought you meant that if Chelsea lose they lose the title and if they win they are likely to win the league. A loss will surely be huge punch and it can force Chelsea even fighting for CL place with a few more fails.
Care Free
Haha no, i meant if we lose this then certainly no title, if we win it we have a chance. If we lose, i think we will finish 2nd or 3rd this season. I don't think we will slip to fourth.

Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted February 1, 2009 Administrators Share Posted February 1, 2009 Football is awful, we've got a toss squad with no excitement and get done by another joke of a ref. Ah well, NFL to distract me now.
Skoolblowsme
Scolari's substitutions were pathetic, Ballack shambolic again. The ref un****inbelievable joke. mag man
We deserved to lose even though red probably cost us a draw. Our players had no desire to get a goal and we lack directness in attack.
deez0r
How Gerrard stayed on the pitch there is beyond me, the worst refereeing display I believe I have ever seen, atrocious. Cost us a challenge at the title there anyway.

Care Free
We were not in the game before Lamps was sent off, so Scolari cannot use that as an excuse. He picked a poor team, and we set up too lose. So title is out of our reach now, FA Cup and CL to concentrate on, although we will do **** all in either of them. **** basically.
