shanyi
Oh dear. I'm betting this late equaliser is the fitness level issue coming back to haunt us as it threatened to do in the last two games, although it'd be nice at some stage before Hiddink leaves if we could score a second goal in a match. Skoolblowsme
That was one of the most important goals of the season because Arsenal looks like tying, and Liverpool certainly look like losing.
Care Free
Epic result for us today. Terry and Frank both put in good shifts. Ballack didnt bother to much. Drogba really put in soem effort today though, hopefully it was just Scolari affecting him. Was suprised at the end though, he was furiously kissing the Chelsea badge, pointing to the ground, i imagine saying this is where he wants to be. Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted February 28, 2009 Administrators Share Posted February 28, 2009 There is NOTHING better than an injury time winner. Love it, was up on my seat. JT was heroic, in every sense, just an oustanding game. Lampard and Didi good, Ballack horrific, Mancienne did quiet well. Drogba's shirt kissing seemed genuine to me but I'm biased. Very soon there'll be a case for putting Lampard above Zola and Osgood at the very top of this club ever. He's at least on par atm for me.
Skoolblowsme
How does Ballack even get games anymore? As soon as Essien is back I hope he is relegated to the bench for the rest of the season
Care Free
Yeah Essien back ina reserve game this monday. Phil, when Terry scored, the commentator said it was a history making goal, could you tell me why? Also Lampard is amazing.

Completely agree about Frank, I was saying today he is pretty much level with Zola for me now. The amount of games he has won for us is just amazing. shanyi
Zola will always be No.1 for me because he was the reason I started supporting Chelsea, but also because he was such a wonderful fella off the field. Lampard is easily my No.2 though, I usually stop playing FM games when he retires (or sometimes edit his age so he has another few years left) as I lose interest quickly afterwards. Care Free
Don't think i've ever been Chelsea on an FM tbh, apart from demos.

Ricky Riccardo
Phil, when Terry scored, the commentator said it was a history making goal, could you tell me why? Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted March 2, 2009 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2009 Essien and Carvalho start for the reserves at Villa Park tonight.

Care Free
I just have this really bad feeling that Essien will never show the form he did before he got injured. Would be an awful shame if he didn't. Hopefully when hes back, we can say bye to Ballack.
buddinho
Quietly optimistic about the season now, Essien to retake his rightful place alongside Lampard, Ricky back. If they both hit previous form, can really see us pushing United for a trophy or two.
Care Free
I don't think an English team will win the CL this season. But i think we have a great chance at the FA cup. Would be amazingly happy if we managed to win that!

Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted March 2, 2009 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2009 Harsh. I only got one when I moaned to the ticket office about the waiting system If I hear of a spare I'll pass it on.
bridgekings
That would be much appreciated . The whole system seems to be a complete lottery.
Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted March 2, 2009 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2009 That is exactly what Graham at the ticket office told me. I emailed that I had no idea how it worked and that being online hours before didn't seem to serve a purpose, and obviously that I wasn't happy at missing out despite 'queuing' for an hour and a half. He told me it's not a queue, the waiting room is a pool and when one space becomes open, it picks you randomly. Then asked me if I was only after one ticket and sold it to me over the phone. He's a decent guy, does a lot to help CFCnet's fan stuff.
bridgekings
What a fantastically intuitive system . Won't be bothering to get up much before 7 in future. Usually just open a load of tabs (no idea if that helps) and hope for the best.
Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted March 2, 2009 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2009 I don't think tabs do, I have Firefox and IE open and IE usually gets me in first, followed shortly after by Firefox. Got in at 5 to 7 for Cov last week and had my ticket by 7.20.

Administrators Philip Rolfe Posted March 2, 2009 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2009 I'm just following the Villa site's updates. 3-2 down now at half time, Mellis gave us the lead back (3 in 3 reserve games), Hogg levelled, Clark lead. bridgekings
http://fbhost-tv.com/v2/chelseatv.htm Seems to be delayed considerably though. Stoch started very well and set up both goals. First with some neat work down the left and second with a superb cross, similar to the one he put in against Stoke that we eventually scored from. Van Aanholts finish was really good. Hiddink and Wilkins are at the game.

Care Free
Essien \o/ Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has warned there will be big changes at the club next season.Buck has revealed as many as up to five players could leave with five new faces possibly coming in. The Blues supremo insists money will be made available by Roman Abramovich in the summer for the right players, even though they would prefer to raise cash for new signings by offloading some of their own stars. "We haven't properly got together to talk about summer transfers yet, but I think that we could expect that several players will leave and that several players will come in," Buck told the Daily Mirror. "I don't know whether that is three, four or five, but something in that kind of neighbourhood, so we can expect a handful to leave. "We'd like to use internally generated cash to buy new players - and by that I mean sell players and buy new players. "But of course if an appropriate player comes then money would be made available from the owner to buy him." Only a good thing imo.

deez0r
Hopefully Stoch will be called up to first team squad if Malouda goes, been impressing me a lot recently. Mancienne now being a part of the first team squad also a plus.
