David86
i'm trying to put my team from pro evo 3 into FM2009. however i can't figure out how to make any of my players home grown and so i can't take part in continental competitions. i've tried changing the date that they joined the club and messing around with other things in the contract part of a players profile but i can't figure it out. can anybody give me a hand? jod123
The rule for a homegrown player is - they must have played for the club for at least 3 seasons when they were between the ages of 16 and 21 for each of them. Set them to fulfill those criteria in the editor and see does that work.
David86
that's what i have tried. i have set it so it says these players have joined the club when they were all 16 yet it seems the game only counts them as existing for for the 2008/09 season and nothing before that
jod123
Have you tried putting anything into their playing history?
David86
no. i haven't seen any option for that but it sounds like what i need. what editing section is that under? i can't find it on any of my players profiles
jod123
You need to have load player histories ticked in options before loading the database. This will slow down the editor but if you want edit players histories you need to obviously load it. There will then be a history section down the left hand side with all the other options. Towelie
Just use FMRTE to make them homegrown, that is what I've had to do.

If the players are still under 21 then they don't need to be registered, thy are automatically eligible.
rmills2000
Just use FMRTE to make them homegrown, that is what I've had to do. That's so simple it just might work lol - thanks If the players are still under 21 then they don't need to be registered, thy are automatically eligible. Heh heh, I'm sure most of them wish they were! I think the average age must be nearly 30 lol - thanks though!
