i'm trying to put my team from pro evo 3 into FM2009. however i can't figure out how to make any of my players home grown and so i can't take part in continental competitions. i've tried changing the date that they joined the club and messing around with other things in the contract part of a players profile but i can't figure it out.

can anybody give me a hand?

The rule for a homegrown player is - they must have played for the club for at least 3 seasons when they were between the ages of 16 and 21 for each of them. Set them to fulfill those criteria in the editor and see does that work.

You need to have load player histories ticked in options before loading the database. This will slow down the editor but if you want edit players histories you need to obviously load it. There will then be a history section down the left hand side with all the other options.

Hi, this is driving me to insanity!

I have added my sunday league team to the DB, have added the club history, all player histories back far enough for each player to be 16, set dates joined to everyones 16th birthday..... and STILL nobody is trained at club / trained in nation :(

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

If the players are still under 21 then they don't need to be registered, thy are automatically eligible.

Just use FMRTE to make them homegrown, that is what I've had to do.

That's so simple it just might work lol - thanks :D

Heh heh, I'm sure most of them wish they were! I think the average age must be nearly 30 lol - thanks though!
