O\'Hara_fan Posted December 17, 2008 Share Posted December 17, 2008 Welcome to Valhalla, Kentucky Since 1927, the Ryder Cup has been played between two teams, 'Team USA' and 'Team Europe' in a golf competition played every two years. But now, 12 Europeans and 12 Americans will compete to see who is the best team on Football Manager 09 will be. The Basics Each player will complete a single season with a specific club, they will then show how well they managed to compete, then recieve points on certain areas. You will be allowed one week to complete each season. Only one league should be neccessarily be used. Each team will be represented by a captain, who will decide the pairings and order of play for each round (details of which will follow). They will also compete in the challenge. However, they will not gain any extra points for being the captain. The Format Each week will represent a 'session'. Day 1 Morning : Fourballs - (2 Europeans v 2 Americans) Players to complete a season, they will be awarded points determing how well they did in that season. Within their pair, the two scores will be combined. Whichever of the two pairs scores the highest will win a point. Afternoon : Foursomes - (2 Europeans v 2 Americans) Players to again complete a season, and will be awarded points similar to fourballs. However, whoever scored the highest number of points within the pairr will get that score put forward to compete against the opposistion. Day 2 Morning : Fourballs Afternoon : Foursomes Day 3 All Day : Singles - (1 European v 1 American) Again will complete a season, again get points awarded. However, without a pair, the scores will be contrasted and whoever gets the highest is awarded a point. Scoring During the season, these are the possibilites of points: Matches Won : 2 points Matches Drawn : 0 Matches Lost : -2 Title Won : 25 European Qual. * : 15 Mid-table : 5 Relegation : -15 Domestic Cup Victory : 20 European Cup Victory ** : 30 Sacked : -25 *Not including Cup Qualification ** Assuming team is already competing in a European competition Whoever wins the battle will score the following points for their respected team Win : 1 points Tie : 1/2 points Loss : 0 points The Rules You will have 1 week to complete each season. Failure to report back with relevant screenshots by the deadline will automatically forefit the game, if both players fail to report, game is tied. Team captains will have 4 days to send in their team sheet, failure to do so will result in their team having a random order. (To make sure you are reading this, Team captains will be randomly selected, but they have the option to chose a vice-captain in case they cannot make the deadline for submission. The must send a pm to me by the deadline. I will give each game a specialist team, who they must use. They may only use the one league that the team is in. But other leagues in that country can be used.
