Richard76
He's available on a free at the start of my 3rd season. I can't get a work permit for him though??? Anybody else had this problem???? I'd have thought a player of his quality with over 50 international caps would get a permit easily.

Richard76
What team are you? Leicester. Does that make any difference to work permits being granted??

arsenal_2111
Not sure then, as he is one of the most prolific international strikers I would have thought he'd get a permit. It must be that your not top league...

arsenal_2111
how good is he in this game? is he champions league material? No, he's not that good. Mid table Prem at most IMO.
echosofberlin
Definitely good enough to get a work permit in the championship though..
Richard76
Definitely good enough to get a work permit in the championship though.. Obviously he isn't. Still really annoyed about this.
PETER_OLE
To be honest I looked at him for my Newcastle side (CL material) at the end of the second season and I was told that it wouldn't be much point because of the difficulty in obtaining a work permit
Officer Rex Bishop
I've got this exact same problem. Egypt are within the FIFA top 75 rankings, but Zaki's permit was turned down. I'm approaching him on a pre-contract so perhaps he will have enough caps after the 2010 ANC. FYI I'm at Bolton in the Premiership.
smeddum
i got him for well in the scottish prem after three years he got 15 first year 11 second now scored 7 in 12 games pretty good not amazing misses so many chances though would not buy him in prem! t1mbers
One rule for one and one for another.Shocking. Well the EPL carries a tonne more weight doesnt it! The FA must get something out of it do to the fact they allow 7subs in that and only 5 in championship! ^^ Like you said "one rule for one and one for another!" underestimated utd
No, he's not that good. Mid table Prem at most IMO. If you give him a good run, with a quality striker with him he's a top 6 striker at least, he has good all round attributes, and scores plenty of goals:)
jedclough
Isn't it based on him playing 75% of games in the last season for his National team? It's likely that he was out of contract because he got a nasty injury and therefore not playing for the national team, therefore no work permit. It's the same situation with Stephen Appiah. However it doesn't explain why it's almost impossible to get Hossein Kaebi!!!
jmortega
Please, don't think it is because of the amount of games he has played for his country or anything like that. Although he will need a few caps to get a work permit, if you have not downloaded the 8.0.2 patch and patched it on your game, then you will NEVER be able to sign a free agent who needs a work permit. Trust me, I tried to sign Steven Appiah, but every time he accepted my offer he was denied a work permit before I patched the game, but if you use the 8.0.2 patch then you'll get a work permit, like I did with Appiah and that Ukrainian defender. Try it out, it could work!
